This video came in clutch. Watched it right before I brought it to the shop and it gave me a better idea of what to expect for the same set up. I was gonna do 20 all around plus 35 on the windshield in fear of not being able to see at night but I wanted privacy so I can pick my boogers at the red light. Much like you crying in the car 😂😂😂. Not sure how I went through life driving in fish bowl mode . From now on I will tint every car I get.Once you go black you never go back 😢😢😢 I went with 5 all around and 20 on the windshield. The reduction in temperature is pretty significant l. I’m a full blast a/c guy with the windows about halfway down just to feel the wind which my wife thinks it’s stupid because I’m letting the a/c out . But now I can have the windows up and not always run the a/c and we can both be satisfied cause I won’t sweat as easily because of the tints blocking out a lot of the rays. Thanks again I’m pretty happy with the set up
Here in the Philippines ZERO % all around is the way to go, the Hot Tropical Sun is very bright & scorching and also there are no Tint Laws here. I used to live in San Jose, Ca. back in the 1980's and I got pulled over for 20% tint all around. In Ca. you are only allowed to tint the back half as dark as you want but you can't tint the driver side at all. Which is bullshit it beats the purpose of having a tint because people can still see you clearly. My ZERO % tint here in the Phils gives me complete privacy and even "Hotbox"🚬😤 in it and people can't see me "Hotboxing".@@KyleClimaco
This is the best ‘tint talk’ video on UA-cam. I had my tint done back in 2018 and just last month I realized I could get my entire windshield tinted! I got 35% front and 5% rear and I couldn’t be happier.
Thank you man! Absolutely 5’s with 35 was GREAT for me! Would do it again if i couldnt get used to 20 on the windshield. 35% with a windshield banner has the same effect as 20 on the windshield btw!
@@KyleClimaco thx brother. I just installed two layers of 5% sun strips in the windshield of my truck in addition to the 35% windshield tint - no need to wear sunglasses!
I’m watching this because I had a miscommunication with my shop and debating whether or not I want to fix it. Thank you for the informative video. My last two cars were 5 back windshield 50 front windshield and 15 sides which metered at 11. Perfect for privacy in the back country where it is not as bright at night as the city. My current has 20 on the sides, not the 15 and it meters at 16. Believe it or not that 5% is a slight but very noticeable difference, especially for the back seat.
For those who don't want something too extreme.. Some other things to consider is how small your car is and the color of your interior. A small coupe (with less windows and smaller windows) with an all black interior will look darker than a large SUV with a white or tan interior, even if they have the same tint setup. For most people, 20% to 30% on the sides/rear is the sweet spot for privacy, night time visibility, and police risk. Front windshield you can get whatever you're comfortable with but I wouldn't go lower than 50%. Personally, I'm okay with others being able to see my silhouette as long as they can't make out my face or details. My priority is to have my car be drivable in any condition (even if I'm in a rural area at night while it's raining), so some compromises had to be made for aesthetics. That said, if your top priority is for people to NEVER be able to see into your car no matter what and you don't mind the downsides then this video has everything you need to help you achieve 100% privacy.
Ill add something, for those with a single cab pickup, get your windshield at 45-50%, windows at 15-20% and your rear glass at 5%. The 5% adds to the sillhouette effect op was referring to and adds to general privacy since less light enters the vehiclr and you can still see your mirrors fine at night with 15%
Current set up I have is 5% back half, 15% front 2, 45% windshield. Running all ceramic. Great for privacy. Pretty hard to drive at night but you get used to it. IMO, I always will go with 5% for the back half (super beneficial if you got back up cam unfortunately I don’t lol), but for the front anywhere from 35% down to 15% is good, depending on how much privacy you want and how much visibility you need at night. 35% would also make you seem less “sus” than a darker shade, which in CA you pretty much cannot have any tint on the front half windows. Windshield for me was mostly for heat rejection but I also wanted a slight dark look from a distance so I think 45% was good for me. Also With the windows down it appears to look like there’s no tint, so easy solution when I see cops.
your comment is the one I needed. I got 5 on the back, 35 on front sides cuz idc about privacy just want some heat protection, look and for it to be dsrk ish. now Im gonna go eith 50% ceramic windshield
In the beginning, I was worried about cops… but I realized anything darker than 35% is already hot… so I did 20% all around with 50% on the windshield. I should’ve went with 35% instead of 50%… 5% all around seems sketchy, but I’m going for it. I think it’ll look perfect with 35% on the windshield.
Thank you. I will be getting the 20% and maybe 35 on the windshield for that aggressive look. Edit: I did get the 15 all around and 35 on the windshield, but it’s still not dark enough for me, like on sunny days you can see through easily, on cloudy days it is really dark. I am getting 20 on the windshield very soon, all ceramic.
I have myopia, so my eyes are super sensitive to light because of the extent of damage done to the retina. Got a tint exempt and I did 20% ceramic first on my 2015 hyundai santa fe and that was ok but headlight reflection in my side mirrors was still bothering me. So I did another layer 20% on top of the 20% I had already and 35 on the front windshield with a 10inch 5% banner on top of the 35. Works good now but guess what, still isn't dark enough, so going for double 15 all around now.
@@Beamerboy_Swerve I got 20 all around night one vision is fine But they can still see if ppl are inside jus not the faces at day time mid day it looks more blackwd out so imma go 15 all around still good visibility
@@DhirC35same I got pulled over for 20% knowing dang well he could see me in the car. And my windshield was 40% he didn't even notice that lmao. But I get pulled over In certain areas I now have 5% all around and about to get 35% windshield in the morning. Fuck em 🤷♂️
Sooo.... The most recent that you have on is what I'll be rocking. I didn't know about the mirror tint not lasting as long.Glad I waited. So for my approach on things..I'll be going 5% all around. And it has ceramic also. I currently just made a week with 20% on the windshield. And doesn't look to crazy. I've been in a family members car 5% all around.i can clearly see everything. Didn't mention about led\ bright lights from my family members perspective led are bright and when getting close to a car hurts your eyes... I believe he is correct in his situation. Without any tint in the front windshield. But I have 20 up front. Crazy I found you channel. And in your perspective is VERY important to me. Since I also wear glasses. And about led I feel that helps out on vision. If you have a very blacked out lights with barely any light come out. Seeing at night we'll be a nightmare at night. Compared to bright leds. Or halos lights. Thanks for the review. And I was Afraid of getting my car tinted up front. But cops don't really care here. But if you drive very reckless or see you driving funny. Then they have a right to pull you over. Then maybe you get asked about your tint. But when getting. Waiver. What do I look for when finding a personal doctor. Haven't had a 1 in 1 in a very long time. Most was just getting my blood work done. For thc 😂 but came out clean bad path at the time. .my bad if I made a whole essay. Your work you put in your videos won't go unrecognized. Keep up the good work man. Mirror tint is nice good for shows. But doesn't last long. . 35 all around except the front just somthing legal but no pricy Having 5% which is the darkest you can go eliminates uv rays that's if it is ceramic. And get privacy. 15-20 percent. Is dark but manageable to see from the outside a bit from sunlight. And see able to see at night. Before getting anything installed. Make sure you have at least been in a car with that % tint. Get a test drive helping you on deciding if it worth going super dark. Look how your lifestyle is and weather in your area..
yeah man this comment is great! you'll be very happy with 5% all around 20 on the windshield. I think its better to go too dark and get used to it, than going too light and having to redo them darker. as far as doctors go, for my state it was best to go to an eye or skin doctor as those two know which conditions justify tint. Thanks for watching brotha!
Flawless explanation with the diminished return as you go up it’s always like thag and the 2 of 3 deal 10:41 , lmao I thought you were talking fast asf and had it in 1.25 by accident , but still got the gist of it . I have a service van plan to do 50 front windshield , 15 front windows and 5 back and trunk, but tbh this explanation makes me wanna do 5 on windows too, it looks good
m4's look SICK with some windshield tint though! have you considered 40% or 35% on the windshield? i feel like it makes the tint setup look more complete, specially on an aggressive car like the m4
Great info thank you much. I am running 5% - 4 doors and 1% back three window on white Escalade. I am still getting use to night driving. The only really issue i have maybe the 1% rear. I will give it a couple more weeks. And if needed I will which to 15% fronts doors and 5% second row and 1% third and rear.
i have liked 5% on back windows and 35% on the front door windows. new vehicle to me will get tint, 5% rears and 15% in the front door windows. i’ve had 5% all around and literally couldn’t drive when dark, dense populated area with a lot of jay walkers, is asking for trouble. can’t wait to experience 15% on the front windows
The tint company I'm going to go with uses XPEL. I'm debating Prime HP or Prime XR Black. I honestly don't see any reason to get the XR Plus as like you said the difference are negligible compared to cost increase. My whole thing is if I plan to do 5% I know you said not much difference at that point, but if I do 20% on the driver and pass door would that be worth it? We are talking $100 price difference and both offer a lifetime warranty.
I got factory SUV tint overlapped with 5% on passenger windows and rare window. 5% on the front driver and passenger window with 35% on the windshield. I love it.
I went from knowing nothing on this to feeling I'm the Man lol. Very informative thanks! And driving in areas without much light really hit home as I make long trips out of state with long desert stretches.
Solid video, got 35s on my wrx here in NYC about 5 months ago. For a first time to t I'm happy with em but after seeing this great video I'm thinking maybe I shoulda gone for 20. One thing I wish you would have touched on is how often if at all you got pulled over with each setup. I feel like with my 35 I'm under the radar but maybe 20s would be asking for trouble? Also what about getting annual inspection?
Thanks man! I think for tint, the darker the better for the sake of privacy and looks. Also, anything under 70% is illegal in nyc so youre gonna get the same ticket for 35 as you are for 5. If the cop wants to be annoying, the cops gonna be annoying. In terms of getting pulled over, if say youll be safe with 35. If the cops can physically see you in the car and see what you’re doing, theyre less likely to care. 20’s and below, you’ll start getting bothered more. As far as inspection- i have a tint exemption, so shops and inspection places will still do regular inspections
@@Kaari69 thanks for watching, I appreciate that! I liked the rain guards for a couple of reasons - first, they would let me have my windows a bit cracked to let the breeze in, but the windows still looked closed with tint. This was awesome for napping or eating in the car while it was off. Second, i dont think they look half bad!
In my experience, I've always had 20 percent and lower, 35 is just not worth it. I have 5 all over and a 5 strip on the front windscreen, where I'm from you cannot tint the front at all. It's the best set up for me personally.
@@nolanvasser2725 i don’t have a backup cam either! The first week it felt super dark during the day and even darker at night but you get used to it. Rear view at night isn’t too bad, i got used to it lol. I recommend 5% back and 15% front if privacy is your main concern.
The best happy medium between completely illegal "can't see in" and no tint "can still see in" is 35% on windshield 20% or 15% all around. Just make sure your car has LED lights inside and has a sun roof. Whenever there's a cop just open the sun roof screen and/or turn on LED lights. Also, if you really want to make your tint appear even darker, make sure your interior is dark. I've been driving with this set up and my car looks blacked out, the only way you can see in is if you get right up against the glass but even then it's hard to see. Hope this helped 👍🏾
@@YourSuperior I know. Unfortunately due to night vision glare issues I was afraid to go too dark. The 50% actually helps with the glare from high beams. I’m going to drive it for a while and may go 35% in the future.
So I have a Dodge 3500 and I'm Currently it has the factory clear windshield, fronts and 15% on the back doors and rear. I'm looking at getting 15 over all the backs, 5% on the fronts, & 15% on the windshield (ceramic btw) my only concern is the front windshield may be to dark. My color theme on the truck is white paint and all gloss black accessories ( brush guard, tool box, smoked lenses. Just wanted to get your opinion on the setup I'm considering. Thanks in advance.
In my 2020 Subaru WRX I have 15% all around sides and back rear windows. And 30% on the front windshield. So to me not bad. I pass many police on the roads. And so far they haven't said anything to me. But I hope everything still goes well with me in my car. This tint makes my red WRX pop out more. 😁
I love the look of your car. You gave a very informative video on tinting. I just got are durango with 20 on the back. And 35 driver. Next will be the front window tint. So will take your advice on what happened to your driving with a dark tint before I get it done.
I did 5% back cuz legal, 35%sides so it isnt sus at all, and wanna do 50% windshield. I dont want black out look cuz tickets are expencive but I want some sun protection and maybe ability to ditch sunglasses for most days. I was gonna go with 35 but I now know itll look darker than it is and make me a cop magnet so nah.
Do you have any problems with 5s on the side? Have to roll down windows or get pulled over etc.? Was thinking about ceramic 5% on sides and back but I keep seeing people freaking out saying they couldn’t see anything lmao
@@ArDeeNY1 only time it’s any issue is at night with horrible rain conditions. Depending on windshield tint or none it might make the 5s seem darker but you’ll adjust. Where I stay cops leave you alone with tint unless you’re driving like an asshole. Only other thing is when I first got 5s was certain turns with no lights around. But go for it takes a small adjustment period for nights but if you kno anyone with tints sit in the car n see how you feel that helped make my decision.
5% doesn’t offer the privacy I was looking for. You can still see through it on sunny days. The only time I felt like I had the privacy I wanted was when I stacked 20% over 5% but man it took some time to get used to it. If you decide to get anything darker than 5% I suggest you get a backup camera it’s a life saver at night
Question with 20% over 5 did you get the privacy you were looking for? Because that sunlight makes the window appear lighter. Do you get that effect with 20 over 5 I currently have 15 front 5 back 45 windshield I was considering double 5% all windows an 45% windshield. Just to prevent that sun from making it see through. But main question though does 20 over 5 offer that privacy on a sunny day?
@@michaeltan2569 yeah it does. Way better than 5%. If you just run one layer of 5% most of the times you can see inside because of the windshield. Especially on a sunny day 5% turns into 15% imo 45% windshield is very light to me. I run 20%. Anything above 35% I don’t bother with
@@MexicanSnicker thanks for the feedback! About to go in my morning appointment to tint my windows double 5% hope it isn’t to excessive. Only because I don’t wanna go to dark o the windshield. I feel double 5% with 45% windshield would give it a nice look. Double 5% to counter the light windshield
@@Gustavo-x8f3q aye man. I had switched it up. Current have 2 layers of 30% on the windshield which = to 9% windshield and double 5% sides. Great setup. But gonna go darker on the windshield. Gonna drop to 5% cuz even 5% on the windshield is still see through on a bright sunny day. Will test out 5% windshield for a bit then may consider stacking 30% over 5% on the windshield. Would rec having HID lights if you wanna go 5% a below. 5% over 30 would look great on the windshield on a sunny day
Hey man, I got a question for you. I currently have 15% on my windshield and 5% on the sides. Did you notice much a difference between 15% and 20% on the windshield? I really like the way my 15 looks during the day, but im wondering if I go 20% on the windshield if I can see down the road a little further? Or is it the same shit as 15%?
@@thewhitekid2177 yo man! In my opinion, its not a noticeable difference between 15 and 20. If you didnt already have the windshield tinted, id say go for the 20, but its not worth removing the 15 to get 20. The EXCEPTION to that is if you’re gonna go higher quality film, like nano-ceramic or whatever the newest tier of film is. The higher tier films usually have better clarity, even at the same percents
@@KyleClimacothanks man, I appreciate the detailed reply. Nobody on youtube has compared a 15% windshield to a 20% windshield before. There are videos of each, but there is no side by side comparison. So I definitely appreciate the input, because like you said there doesnt seem to be a noticeable difference, and thats what I was seeing when watching multiple videos, but you never know what factors contribute into each video. I personally love 15% on the windsheild, the only reason I ask about 20% is so I could keep it looking blacked out on the outside but possibly give me a little bit more downrange visibility when it gets dark out, but I can totally live with how dark it is. For the me the benefits out weigh the cons, because the only other way to go would be doing a 35% windshield. I currently have 5% all the way around, have you ever done 5% all around with 35% on the windsheild? Did that still give you a blacked out windsheild? Or were you still able to see in? (My guess is you can still see in the windsheild during day)
I tried 20% on sides, 35% on front. Still can see a silhouette. I'm thinking of layering a 50% on the sides (to total 10%) & 40% front & rear windshield (to total 15%) 5% looks cool great however, I think it'll be scary outside of the NYC when you go to the country with no street lights. /with rain/spotting pot-holes.
What car did you get tinted? 20/s all around and 35 on the windshield should be pretty close to blackout, but 20 on the windshield should bring you closer to full blackout. adding a windshield banner also helps if you don't want to stack side window tint
@@user-bi2ml3rb5q I had the same setup as you and I’m thinking of doing the same thing with layering 20% and 50% to make 10%. I feel like that’s perfect for the sides because it’s not gonna be dark at night like 5% is but still offers a lot of privacy at night. I wanna keep 35% on the whole windshield tho. If you get it done can you let me know what 10% on the sides is like at night?
35% windshild is good enough 15 sides and 5% back my 5% tint look very dark depends what film used, my is ceramic, I tried 5% all around 35% windshild it's like a black curtin at night very dangerous next day I got it changed to 15%
What brand tint does that place install for you Kyle ? Because I called around to get my shield done at 20% and every shop that has the big name brands only has either 15% or 25% no 20
Went with 20% all around and 50% windshield. All nano ceramic. Left sunroof clear. Should have gone with 15 all around and 40 windshield, now that I’m familiar with 20/50, but I’m staying with 20 and 50 because it seems just on the borderline of probably not attracting tickets. I’ll probably do sunroof 70-90 ceramic next and if I get a new car or redo my current car I’ll definitely do 5-15 all around and 20-40 windshield
Hey I also live in NY and I would like to know your excuse for have tint exemption, also with front windshield tinted how do you replace inspection & registration sticker I seen most places use a razor blade would that damage the tint?
The 5% on the side looks like it's difficult to see things in the side mirror. What would you recommend on a coupe if I want the all-black out look from the outside (where people can't see in walking past your car parked in daylight) without affecting my visibility (meaning I don't need to roll my windows down at night or have to pull over due not being able to see from weather conditions)?
it only gets difficult to see our of at night - and at that point I'll roll my windows down for things like parking. If you don't want to go that dark, I would recommend going 20% on the sides with aAT LEAST 35% on the windshield if you want the blacked out look
@@KyleClimaco When you tint your rear 5% does it make it difficult to see at night through it since it’s also at an angle? With 20% all around and 35% on the windshield kind of still give that visible look in broad daylight no?
Great review love how u explained in detail I am a woman so its odd in my country to drive that way but I wanted privacy and to protect my eyes I live in a country thats only hot sun or rain so i did 3% all around front windshield I did 25% I happy with it I think 20% would have been to dark for the front
I live in AZ. Have you been picked up at all? Also have you ever been at a stop light near a cop? Beautiful car and awesome video! I wanna go with 5% in the rear/back passengers and 15% up front!
It alll depends on the quality or type of tint. You can get an expensive brand 20% ceramic tint and it wont be as dark as an inexpensive 20% but the ceramic tint will give you better protection and keeps your car cooler than the inexpensive tint. It also draws less attention from the law.
white interior reflects the most light during the day, but the 15 around and 35 on windshield will definitely darken it. 35 on the windshield will let enough light to see in on really sunny days though. That being said, 15/20 all around with 35 on the windshield is right at the border of "tough to drive at night" in my opinion. if you go any darker on the windshield, it will start to get dicey in some driving conditions
@@KyleClimaco appreciate the feedback kyle, forgot to ask. My initial take was 15 front 5 back but I’m afraid the split wouldn’t look as nice as all around. what you think bout the split ?
@@dannythebambino 15% and %5 will be visibly different in some lights. Cloudy days and night, it will all look "blacked out". I would keep it uniform just so it looks good in all lighting - hope this helps!
35 does a good job of blacking the car out - but there are still a good amount of times you can see in. I didn't want that, so my go-to set up is 5% sides, 20% windshield
The reg dyed tint. No matter what % will cause more heat in direct sunlight . The darker the more heat it absorbs and without any tech it will transfer thru
I usually get 15% Llumar Ceramic all around (including the windshield) I currently have a 2022 Ignition Red WRX that exact way. But I just got a great deal on my new 2024 Limited WRB WRX a few days ago and debating what tint percentage I should go on that one. I want to switch things up this time.
15% on windshield is crazy! did it on the BRZ, and am never gonna do it again lol. made driving through the suburbs of jersey VERY difficult. the lowest ill go now is 20 on windshield, but 5% everywhere else
Hello Kyle, I live in Michigan and I bought a 2013 Chevy Malibu and it has 5percent tint all around I'm assuming. Oh my previous car I had tint but I could see through the window. On this vehicle I am scared to drive it at night because where I work and it has little to no lighting until coming back into the city. What tint and windshield would you recommend for privacy just not 5% all around.
Finally great and information video👍. Now I have 20% sides and nothing on windshield but I don’t like it because people can see what I’m doing in the car. To feel comfortable at day time and at night 20% sides and 35% windshield do you think good enough with XPEL XR tint ? Thank you
I have 20% on the sides and back and didn’t like how much lighter the front side windows looked. I just recently got the windshield tinted 50% and it helped make the front side windows look darker. I think 20% all around and 50% on windshield is a perfect combo to have that privacy, blacked out look, while maintaining viability while driving at night and look less sus with cops. Hope this helps!
I recently got pulled over in Connecticut for having 35% on my windshield and 5% all around like you have. 😢 Instead of giving me a ticket, he gave me an official warning saying that if I do not remove the tints in 20 days my registration will be suspended. Has this ever happened to you?
@@KyleClimaco I drive Uber in CT NY and NJ 12 hours a day and have driven past thousands of cops with my car like this. Believe me, most in tri state area cops don’t care about petty stuff like tints. I think this 🐷 was just having a really bad day, unfortunately.
So right now on my Chevy Silverado extended cab I have stock windshield tint, two layers of 5% on the front windows, 2% on the rear windows and a couple layers of 2% on the back window. What percent would you recommend I get for the windshield.
thanks for watching! tint removals can range anywhere from 50-100 bucks depending on vehicle size. before i worked at the shop, it would have cost 100, but since i was a returning customer and offered to shoot videos for them, i got them removed for free
i can barely see the lines on the highway when its raining rlly hard with no tint LOL imagine with 5-20 on the windshield, thinking about doing 5 all around and 35 on the windsheild
Speaking of glasses, make sure your eyeglasses have a certain coating (forgot what it's called) because many people who drive with their glasses on while driving have lost their eye in an accident.
This video really opened my mind to considering the different shades of tint. i currently have a full 20% around on my car. I think i'm going to go for 5% all around but thinking of going clear on the front windshield with 70% or retain the 20% in the front windshield. There are no current tinting laws in the Philippines, some here even rock 5% all around including the windshield but I think that is a bit of an overstretch. I think i won't be having a hard time with 20% in the front and 5% all around since i've always had dark tints in the cars i drive. This is my first time trying out the 5%
I wouldn’t go below 30 on the windshield. Can get REALLY sketchy in places with low light. 15 all around is good and will look blacked out with 30 on windshield. You can even go 5% all around if you want darker. 30 is the lowest id go on windshield in terms of long term use
Hell no. No problem during the day looks good u can see clearly while no one can see you of course it attract girls attention but at night you have to drive very very very very slowly and carefully as if u were someone who has just learn to drive and of course driving with it at night exhaust your brain bcz you have to focus 100% on driving

Can u please answer I wanna get 5 all around and 35 at the front like u have it but I’m worried I won’t see squat in the dark I want the dark for privacy but I don’t wanna be worried about crashing if that’s the case
yo! 5 all around and 35 on the windshield was fine when I had it. took a few nights of driving to get used to, but after that it was easy, specially if you have LED headlights. if you live in a place with not too many street lights or a lot of dark back roads, I'd be a bit more careful
35 on back windshield is way too light for me. Pretty much gonna let anyone standing behind or in front of your car see all the way through front to back
I did 30% on the windshield and 5% all around. The tinter said 15% was the next option which would be insane trying to drive on at night. To me 30% is perfect for the windshield.
Still gonna be light. Youll be able to see through the back all the way to the front or the front all the way through to the back, specially if the louvres aren’t aggressive enough
I salute all the citizens who drive around with illegal tinted windows and break other traffic regulations. Without them, law enforcement officers will not get their paychecks and/or overtime. Window tint shop employees also love them because it costs money to remove the illegal tint and install legal tint.

23:03 Mann it’s not long lmao this one vid was better than the last 10 vids I watched to get an idea of what I want ! Keep it goin
Also With the windows down it appears to look like there’s no tint, so easy solution when I see cops.
what if you got 35% on the windshield + the front 2 windows?
your comment is the one I needed.

Didn't mention about led\ bright lights
from my family members perspective led are bright and when getting close to a car hurts your eyes...
But doesn't last long. .
35 all around except the front just somthing legal but no pricy
Having 5% which is the darkest you can go eliminates uv rays that's if it is ceramic.

20% for me on my M4, nothing on the windshield. I’m in NC and 20% is illegal, but never had any issues. I like 5%, but my vision sucks at night 😁
m4's look SICK with some windshield tint though! have you considered 40% or 35% on the windshield? i feel like it makes the tint setup look more complete, specially on an aggressive car like the m4
Did the 35% on the front and 5% on the back make your car look weird? Im thinking of getting it too but I’m afraid the contrast would look odd
I’m 20%, gonna put 35 on the front now I think it will get me where I wanna be for privacy and looks
Best tint video I’ve ever seen over the years. But why do you like those rain guards on the sides.
@@Kaari69 thanks for watching, I appreciate that!

Went with 20% all around and 50% windshield. All nano ceramic. Left sunroof clear. Should have gone with 15 all around and 40 windshield, now that I’m familiar with 20/50, but I’m staying with 20 and 50 because it seems just on the borderline of probably not attracting tickets.

It alll depends on the quality or type of tint.
You can get an expensive brand 20% ceramic tint and it wont be as dark as an inexpensive 20% but the ceramic tint will give you better protection and keeps your car cooler than the inexpensive tint. It also draws less attention from the law.
Even without tint with rain it's hard to see because everything reflects so you can't see the lines
Thinking bout doing 35 windshield 15 all around on my white interior . I wanna do 5 all around but might be too dark at night
white interior reflects the most light during the day, but the 15 around and 35 on windshield will definitely darken it. 35 on the windshield will let enough light to see in on really sunny days though. That being said, 15/20 all around with 35 on the windshield is right at the border of "tough to drive at night" in my opinion. if you go any darker on the windshield, it will start to get dicey in some driving conditions

broo hows 20 on the windshield in pitch darkness or when it rains?
Hello Kyle,
I live in Michigan and I bought a 2013 Chevy Malibu and it has 5percent tint all around I'm assuming.
What’s the air car thing called again with lowering it?
@@CRYPTKREEPER air bag suspension, or “bags”
What’s the tint shop in NY you went to ?
The popo is coming after you with the 5% tint.😂
its a lil bit of a cop magnet lol
@@KyleClimaco 😆👌😎
I recently got pulled over in Connecticut for having 35% on my windshield and 5% all around like you have. 😢
Instead of giving me a ticket, he gave me an official warning saying that if I do not remove the tints in 20 days my registration will be suspended. Has this ever happened to you?
wow... this has never happened to me. I have heard CT police are super anal about stuff. that sucks man :/
@@KyleClimaco I drive Uber in CT NY and NJ 12 hours a day and have driven past thousands of cops with my car like this. Believe me, most in tri state area cops don’t care about petty stuff like tints. I think this 🐷 was just having a really bad day, unfortunately.
@@kyleross5019that’s such bs man. I’m sorry to hear that. What kind of car do you have the tints on?
@@MAGA_Randy_Marsh a Toyota Prius/ *had* the tints on cause I had to take them off for $100
@@kyleross5019 Well fuck that. I just got a 2021 sonata and I went with 5% all around haha. It’s sick as fuck.
I watched this video and it helped me a lot. Thanks bro
glad it helped! any time brotha!
in MA. any state trooper who sees any dark windows your getting pulled over no doubt at all
So right now on my Chevy Silverado extended cab I have stock windshield tint, two layers of 5% on the front windows, 2% on the rear windows and a couple layers of 2% on the back window. What percent would you recommend I get for the windshield.
35
50% - 40% ceramic
thanks for sharing, about how much money had you spent on all this tint installation and removals? Lmao I heard removal ain't cheap though
He works for NRS it’s def free
@@mohammadishtiyaq2012 no longer work there for... reasons haha
thanks for watching! tint removals can range anywhere from 50-100 bucks depending on vehicle size. before i worked at the shop, it would have cost 100, but since i was a returning customer and offered to shoot videos for them, i got them removed for free
Your right about the rain at night .
Im doing 5 all around 35 or 20 for windshield? I live in Long Island
id say 35 for LI
How did you go about acquiring an exemption? Thank you
i have a ek civic. thinking 15 all around 50 front. i drive at night alot
i can barely see the lines on the highway when its raining rlly hard with no tint LOL imagine with 5-20 on the windshield, thinking about doing 5 all around and 35 on the windsheild
when its raining I kinda just start praying lol
Speaking of glasses, make sure your eyeglasses have a certain coating (forgot what it's called) because many people who drive with their glasses on while driving have lost their eye in an accident.
if you remember what the coating is called, do let me know! thanks!
At a minute into the video did you take the seatbelt off out of pure muscle memory or was it part of the show
This video really opened my mind to considering the different shades of tint. i currently have a full 20% around on my car. This is my first time trying out the 5%
I just also got 20% front and 5% side 🔥 not even a week ago feels great not being visible
Solid choice my friend!
@@KyleClimaco update : got pulled over and ticketed got court in September

I’m thinking 15 % all around and 20% windshield what do you think ? I’m know to this
I wouldn’t go below 30 on the windshield. Can get REALLY sketchy in places with low light. 15 all around is good and will look blacked out with 30 on windshield. You can even go 5% all around if you want darker. 30 is the lowest id go on windshield in terms of long term use
Super helpful video. Thank you!!!!
i got 20% 2 fronts and 5% all rear windows, ngl i wish i went darker
5% on all the side windows and rear window is the way to go tbh. It's hard to get anything lighter and not feel like everyone can still see you
But how is it at night? I'm terrified to do 5% on the back. I can barely see what kind of cars are behind me
@@carlyl3191 5% is very easy to see out of i would get 5% both front and back, 20% is see through in sun...
Should i get 15% shield with 5% all the way around????
I think anything lower than 35% is crazy for night driving.
i just ordered 5% all around from Instatint which was $150 instead of $480 at local shop lets see how this holds up
I’m thinking 35% on the windshield and sides but 20% for the rest, what do you think?
Def clean I had 20% and 40% windshield. Looks good as hell I say do it. But ur gonna want to go darker on those sides watch lol
Do u recommend 5 percent in the windshield?
Hell no. No problem during the day looks good u can see clearly while no one can see you of course it attract girls attention but at night you have to drive very very very very slowly and carefully as if u were someone who has just learn to drive and of course driving with it at night exhaust your brain bcz you have to focus 100% on driving
Very detailed, thanks !
I have 50 on my windshield 15 front sides and 5 in the back sides. I grew up in Syosset and Nassau harassed me all the time, partly due to that I'm in Southern Nevada nowadays, never have an issue with cops here. 1997 Mercedes C36 AMG.
Is the 50 on the windshield dark enough? I have this same setup.
@@only1809 you can still see in it. The only reason I didn't go that dark on my windshield is my night vision sucks.
This is the exact set up I want to get! You have a pic of the car?
Can u please answer I wanna get 5 all around and 35 at the front like u have it but I’m worried I won’t see squat in the dark I want the dark for privacy but I don’t wanna be worried about crashing if that’s the case
yo! 5 all around and 35 on the windshield was fine when I had it. took a few nights of driving to get used to, but after that it was easy, specially if you have LED headlights. if you live in a place with not too many street lights or a lot of dark back roads, I'd be a bit more careful
Opinion on 5 on side doors and 35 on front and back windshield
35 on back windshield is way too light for me. Pretty much gonna let anyone standing behind or in front of your car see all the way through front to back
Should I go 20%, 25% or 30% on the windshield?
I did 30% on the windshield and 5% all around. The tinter said 15% was the next option which would be insane trying to drive on at night. To me 30% is perfect for the windshield.
Opinion on 35 back windshield with a louver
35 is too light he said
I have 35% on side windows front and back and 20% on rear window.
Great video thanks I have 20 percent front and 5 percent rear 3. Going to go 5 all around cheers again
Imma try 20 all around 40 windshield
What about 35 on the back windshield with a window louver?
Still gonna be light. Youll be able to see through the back all the way to the front or the front all the way through to the back, specially if the louvres aren’t aggressive enough
Is 5% all around too much ? Even on the windshield
Way too much on the windshield…sides is fine but you’re 100% gonna get pulled if you have it especially with the windshield
I love your tint videos 👍👍
Thanks brotha!
Kyle still vibin to this day btw its Tony flamingo
oh my god its THE Tony Flamingo! been a long time man! hope you're doin well!
I salute all the citizens who drive around with illegal tinted windows and break other traffic regulations. Without them, law enforcement officers will not get their paychecks and/or overtime. Window tint shop employees also love them because it costs money to remove the illegal tint and install legal tint.
