Because it’s actually a thing, it’s no disrespect to him and you can tell he clearly feels sad about it. It’s called survivors guilt, he is a hero and I’m sure he did all he could, literally risked his life, exactly like he said it, gave it his best.
Sometimes that’s a question that helps somone reveal something they hold in and can actually be very good for them to get out holding in guilt is bad just a simple question can help
This poor man has survivor syndrome and PTSD combined. My heart is breaking for him. And his neighbors. His love for his neighbors, we could ALL learn from him. ❤❤❤
This man is a Hero with all the kindness we should all have for our neighbors and community!! He's an excellent example of a Hero with a heart of Gold!! Bless you sir and bless your family! ❤❤❤
Oh my! Felipe you are a brave man; this interview brought tears 😢 . The unimaginable, your diligence, Thank God He protected you! Incredible story in such a horrific apocalyptic situation🥺 God's endless Blessings upon you, Felipe 🙌🏻 🫂🙏🏻
My heart aches for this poor guy. Imagine the joy of being able to save your home and some of the neighbors' homes mixed with guilt in wishing you could of done more for the other neighbors. 😢 Bless him for all that he was able to do and caring enough to think of others in such a horrific situation. That's a good man right there.
What a disgusting question to ask if he feels guilty for not being able to do more and save his neighbors places. What is wrong with her? She already knew the answer to that question.
A good neighbor is priceless. They had decades of caring for each other. I am blessed to have a block of good neighbors in Richmond Hill, Queens. We are a culturally diverse block. During Covid, we bonded by doing the 7 pm clapping for first responders on our stoops, then waving a hello to each other.
What a wonderful giving man. God keep blessing this great man & his family. He is a "HERO" because he was able to protect his family + prevented his house & a neighbors home from getting burned down like the rest of the neighborhood. And "NO FIRE TRUCKS" AVAILABLE TO THESE PEOPLE. "SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE". "WTH DOESN'T LA COUNTY HAVE SUFFICIENT FIRE FIGHTERS & FIRE TRUCKS"??
Be Kind with your words today, tomorrow the next day and the next and the next day. We all need that for a chance and a change to live a better life. Give thanks...
Felipe Carrillo you did a great job sir! Just think if neighbors would have helped, or at least had their hoses untangled! I hope he gets some rest and takes care of himself!
These are the stories we need to hear! From everyday citizens who are heroes battling the fires and trying to save their community and neighborhood in real time instead of celebrities.
God bless this wonderful man, So sad that there were no firefighters there and that the reservoir was empty when the firemen did show up. This is just pure mismanagement and no fire plan. It’s just unbelievable and so sad that people lost their house when it didn’t have to be that way.
Not enough resources so you have to put your own life on the line to save everything you worked for your whole life. Can't fault him for that and it worked. Much Respect.
So basically if people had protective clothing/boots, goggles, n95 masks, and a long and heavy duty water hose all homes would be standing right now. A man in his 90s also saved his home and two of his neighbors homes in Pacific Palisades.
This man just had me literally crying, almost bawling! I want to do everything in my power to help as many as I can. I may not have much money but I have my health & can do manual labor. I just want to be there helping in so many ways! 😢
Don't feel guilty bud. I have experience fighting fires. Someone who hasn't has no idea the heat, the smoke, the chaos... You did what you could and it shows. My hat is off to you sir.
Unfortunately, it looks like (in hindsight, from this and other similar stories) if a few more people had stayed, the whole street may have been saved. ❤️ God bless him. Lord, heal his heart.
Why would you ask him if he felt guilty....he went above and beyond the call of duty
That's right
EXACTLY
It makes you wonder where is the compassion when it comes to some field reporters.
Because it’s actually a thing, it’s no disrespect to him and you can tell he clearly feels sad about it. It’s called survivors guilt, he is a hero and I’m sure he did all he could, literally risked his life, exactly like he said it, gave it his best.

Hey MSNBC, "do you feel guilty about that?" at 3:39 was pretty low. Don't do that. That's not your job.
...the woke media will be woke all the time!!!!! MSNBC still getting lower and lower by the second
Agreed!!
Seriously 😢
Exactly! Despicable question. He did everything he could to save his neighbours homes.
Feels like she wanted this hero man all in tears on camera asking such nonsense question. Disgusted

May God bless this man forever!🙏❤
The reporter asking the man, " Did you feel guilty about that?" is disgusting.
The reporter talked too much to begin with. I wanted to shush her so he could speak. Finally, she did.
Yes truly.. shouldn't ask such question to a victim! Fool
Precisely, bloody disgusting
I think she just misworded it
@@keithvlogs1 yah sure
What a kind family! He gave it his best shot!!

Buddy, you don’t have to explain. You did as much as you possibly could. More than the local government did. ❤

Why should you ask the man if he felt guilty after he went thru such harrowing experience. Very insensitive question to someone in such predicament.

the rich had not forgotten to fill the swimming pool but not their brains...
Good job Mister...
God bless this man and those he loves.
This man fight fire better than a couple teams of California fire fighters.
Place sprinklers on your roof. Water tank for storing water and generator with propane to run sprinklers. Can use pool water as water source
Hurricane forced winds of 90 miles, no rain in seven months. Low water pressure in city limits. Yep, recipe for utter disaster.
A true human being.
