  • If you own the Elipsa 1, should you upgrade to the second-generation model? Lots have changed on the hardware side of things, although the software side is pretty much the same. In this video, we go over some of the differences.

    In summary:
    Added warm light.
    Slightly faster writing latency.
    Added lasso selecting option.
New pen with eraser, different nib and battery charged by USB type C. (also works with 1st gen)
    New page background template options.
    Made with recycled materials.
    No case included.
From Quad-core 1.8 GHz to 2GHz (doesn't specify how many cores, but assuming quad-core as well)
Probably not worth the upgrade if you already have the first version.

So I was able to answer my own question. The cover for the 1st edition Elipsa perfectly fits the 2e, and it holds the new stylus just as well!! The new stylus is a bit thinner, but it's held in place just fine with the magnets even after vigorous shaking.

Too little is new. Perhaps the most important is the brightness adjustment. But there is still no vocabulary available for Notes and direct input of suggested words. Another major annoyance is the suspension dots that end in the middle of the line and not at the base. One has to resort to third-party applications that give some problems with Elipsa.

Thank you for the review! Does the original blue Elipsa cover fit the 2e?

Hey Good e-Reader. I'm thinking of getting a new e-reader.
My use case is that I want to use a e-reader read and annotate two column pdfs and then use the annotated pdf as reference when I write my papers.
So it wold be good if the pdf could be opened on my computer with the annotations I have done on the e-reeder.
Is there any models on the market that can do that and can you make a video where you compare the those models in that use case?
Additional questions that could be answers is e-ink vs tft, color or black white e-reeder and synkning options (some of the pappers could have a NDA so cloud is not a option).

4:47 wrong. You can set the light brightness on the left side by moving your finger up/down.

Where both Elipsa In the same firmware version? Since now E1 has the same features as E2, I question if there is any latency issues now?

It's a shame to not see the cover comparison here, since most people interested in this video supposedly are Elipsa 1 owners looking for differences in the 2nd model. The cover is sold standalone, and it would be great how tight it fits if it's the case whatsoever.

Can the sleepcover from the 2nd gen be used on the 1st one?

Hey Good e-Reader, thanks for the review! I have just bought the Elipsa 2E. Have you found that the eraser is sitting a little loose and moves slightly when using? Or does yours sit in there solidly if that makes sense.

so the pack elipsa one is hundred euros cheaper compared to the elipsa 2 without the sleeper
so is it worth it ? I am a student and I just don't want to carry all of my books and notepads with me
basically for 300 i could get the first one in comparison the second one with the sleeper for 460 which is a price of many others e ink tablets What should i do ?

Does anyone know whats the most complicated equation possible on the kobol? like, can it handle integrals or simple equation solving?

    • @danielfernandezpeinado6294
      @danielfernandezpeinado6294 Рік тому +1

STEM student here. The feature is more about transforming handwriting into mathematical characters and equations, so it can be a very nice option for taking notes or making assignments without needing to know LaTex for quick equation writing. The solving feature only goes as far as addition, substraction, square roots and powers. I hope that answered your question.

@@danielfernandezpeinado6294 Thats still useful, so it does recognize integrals and stuff like that in writing but it cant solve it

I'm surprised you didn't test heavy PDFs. That's the only reason I'm considering upgrading from my ancient Kobo as PDFs are unusable

Hello thanks for your videos , very good work
    A question about kobo :
I received this strange mail from kobo for the first time since several years I have my kobo h2o
« You will need to perform a mandatory software update for your Kobo eReader by May 25, 2023.
We're rolling out a critical update to stay in step with global internet security standards. Without this update, your Kobo eReader will get stuck in the setup process after initiating a factory reset. »
But I use koreader, and last kobo update has been a problèm to re install Koreader !
So I think I will not update this time .
Is it a problem for the future ?

The only comparison made here is for the slight differences in build and software, so why is the 2E faster? Improved technologies? What are they? Anyway, this is a 16min quick video; no complaints. But it makes no sense to make such kind of comparison...

I have to take this out because I want it self a part of China the question between the two forces within China is government in control in Beijing where is rightful control the government in Taiwan province. Taiwan independence is a separate question with minority support on the island.

Yes, I'm not sure why it needs to be said that Taiwan is a country. It's a country. That's like saying Argentina is a country
