You have very good advice! I truly enjoyed listening to you! I am a DIY Micro Loctician....but a Certified Traditional Loctician. I started my micro locs journey in February 2021. Boy oh boy did I learn so much about how to work with my hair in the early stages of locing. I started my micro locs with the two strand twist. I too have medium to fine hair. I am so happy about how my hair has thickened up and how much volume it has. I have 253 locs. I make my own spray water mixes using Rosemary essential oils, Lavender and Tea Tree from doTERRA. It's a great mix for those who work out daily and need a refresher...because it has antifungal, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties...and is a great combo to treat scalp disorders....dandruff, seborriac dermatitis, and itching.
Girl ! It’s sooo simple, i love it here ♥️I used to be a product junkie when I had loose natural hair 😅Rose water is my all time fave ! But I add some essential oil (for smell) and a little oil in the bottle for when I’m just misting quickly.
I love no longer being a product junkie lol. I just use my Water, Aloe Vera Juice, & Essential oils mix, that same OGX oil from time to time, and an oil for my weekly scalp massages.
Yessss, team less products! The only products I do use (other than my shampoo mix of distilled water, and Suave Daily Clarifying mixed with Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle shampoo), are water with a few drops of peppermint essential oil, and jojoba oil for my scalp, which I only use after a wash, or plain water rinse. That’s it!!!
Thank you so much for the video. You mentioned that you don’t use conditioner, only shampoo. I am a nubby and hope to establish my locs in a month. Do you deep condition?
That depends on your hair texture, if it’s softer, I wouldn’t. That’s too much water. Maybe do every other day and monitor your hair for signs of dryness. Everyone’s hair if different so your routine will vary slightly.

Adding essential oil to the mister is a great idea! Thanks for sharing!

No you don’t need to deep condition
Hi, thanks for this video, really informative. I'm currently in the budding stage of my locs journey, should I be misting my hair with water everyday?

Thank you, that makes a lot of sense
Great routine 🤗
Hello
What was oil use you for moisture
I use an oil from my loctician or the melanin hair care oil. Remember oil is for sealing. Water is for moisture.
Team NO SLICK EDGES 🙋🏿♀️
I love me some rose water
The less products I use the more my hair grows
