I must say, I been watching you from you from 2016 and I was 7 year old that time, my mom and grandma had The sims 4 and 3. (My two most favorite.) After my grandma passed away, I quit sims for years after last year I saw one of your videos and watched it. And I got this peaceful aura and I started to cried for 3 hours start because one of your video that you did I saw my grandma full name and surname on one of the sims. I just wanna thank you that you made me reconnect to the sims 4. My mother is also getting better. She been getting her full rest and been eating. My mom has been suffering a lot around my Grandma birthday. So thank you Kayla ❤
words can NOT describe how much jealous i am of her. this bedroom? my DREAM. it's amazing and cozy i totally forgot HSY has so many good furniture and clutter with cite swatches
i feel like now that we have the feature to assign different rooms to different rentals, it just makes sense for us to be able to assign different spaces as various lot types in the same way. that way you could have a build with a coffee shop, bar, and gym that is actually functional and you would just assign each space a different lot type
I have literally been watching your videos for a whole year now without playing the sims, because my laptop didn’t have enough space so I have been clearing it out for ages and finally it had enough room to get the sims and I’m so happy!!! (Also my first house was a mess so I just downloaded one of yours 😅)
Congrats!! I really understand you bc some time ago I don't have a computer good enough to play the sims and I know this joy when you finally can play😎
I just had to clear stuff from my laptop to download a Sims update 😂😂 Years ago, my brother gave me an external hard drive thingy and it saved my Sims obession 😂
I think one of my favorite things about the Nightmare Legacy is that it's almost *always* a good time to tune in; things move so fast every new episode is a good one to start with!
As a 28 years old adult, I see this room and it's so chaotic it gives me anxiety. Then I remember myself at 15. I would have died and killed for this room. Literally you nailed the teenage crowded beautiful chaos and I'm obsessed !
Kinda random but thank you Lilsimsie for helping me improve my english!!!! As a brazilian I learned it by myself and since I started watching you I can understand everything you say with no CC, even when you talk reeeally fast. Sometimes I don't even watch the whole thing, just put it as a podcast and it's everything ❤
re: the basement windows, I've also done this. Never could get window wells working properly (that raising the terrain outside REALLY throws me off) and sometimes the basements just feel so. . .closed in. So I've put windows in, then use wall lights to put behind curtains to sort of 'suggest' daylight coming through the windows and through the curtains. Doesn't always work, but eh. It's better than no windows at all.
Funny how today i rewatched the bedroom remake for baby, barb and brice when they were kids and now i get to watch a bedroom remake for 2 gens after Baby
we need kayla to install tool mod😭custom rug sizes or custom size anything, can shove stuff into walls (so no wierd star fairy light shadows) even in basements, custom heights for mirrors etc., and its really easy to use after u find ur way around it!!
Old School Simmer here! Since watching your videos, my builds have gotten better (especially landscaping), I've learned new fun ways to play, and I've been actively trying to use less CC and appreciating the things the game provides. I enjoy watching you a lot! Given an expansion pack can cost over R$200, I'll admit the options are limited though.
it took me a while to learn but u can use the bottom part of that dream home dec shelf for really low things and if that doesnt work the basement method works u could make another basement for that one then put the item and raise it (9) and add lights to the basement so it looks the same and it should work
In one of the apartments I lived in I had a bedroom with a window that was blocked off and looked off into nothing. I loved my window to the void. I support the decorative window.
I just recently switched from console to sims (it was hard bc I have to rebuy my packs 😭) and now that I have CC I’ve been playing me and my boyfriend in a long legacy where I just age them up whenever I’d like to. We don’t rlly want kids but we had one for the purpose of the game and he had a basement bedroom! It was a guest with its own bathroom but we turned it into a bedroom and it was super cute. He was an artist so there was art all over the walls, painting, pictures and drawings
This is exactly what I imagined and mentioned in my former comment❣️🥰 Am so obsessed with the outcome.😍 Can't wait for the next episode of the legacy challenge.❤ As I know myself too well, I really gonna use the pastel pop kit all the time too. 😅😂❤ Teenage age is the perfect time to try out and find ur personality in fun chaos, it is very authentic.💖 Thank you Kayla, your video just made my day❣️💗
Just a little tip with the square shelves from dream home decorator and high school years is if the place you want clutter is too low for the top line the bottom up with the place and it’s the exact same. (You may think that bigger items won’t fit inside the shelf but they do I’ve tested it) ❤❤
A tip for you Kayla: You can actually not only put things on top of dream home decorator shelf but also inside. Thats a great tip for when the surface your trying to put something on is to low😊
I liked this video! Its nice to see you work personality into the builds versus them just being pretty basic. Id love to see you do a build based on the personality of a random-wheel challenge sim!
I love spending energy on one room, it’s much less stressful. One day I hope you dip into tool mod, yes console players can’t use it but they can still go on the gallery and it’s so easy to raise and size items precisely ❤
As someone that lives with their parents at the attic, I have just decided that this build is going to be the inspo for my bedroom makeover. Especially the yellow.😂
quick question for anyone who knows! How do you flip through color swatches without opening the swatch panel? (like she does with the beds around 3:30) Thank you!
This is so cute!! Maybe making the section of the bed a little step up platform to give it a kinda “teen” vibe (sort of like teddys bed in good luck Charlie) love the build
It's weird how I was just watching ur not so berry stream video but as soon as I saw this I went to watch it😅😅 I love love love your videos soooo much❤❤ thank you for being you kyla

kayla you should delete the “big light” in the basement, there are enough fairy lights to light up the room and it’ll make it more vibey, plus most people prefer fairy lights over the big light!
When you sized down the skateboards it kinda made them penny board size, and I love the thought of Belle riding a penny board since she's already active! Now we just need skateboards in the sims 🤔🤔

If anyone else hates the tall basement glitch due to foundation height, I recommend getting rid of the foundation. I use platforms to keep foundation flat but have steps up to the porch. Depending on elevation of porch, you might have to bump up wall height. Downside, you have to deal with platforms throughout rooms or find a way to lower the platforms with the design. Plus side, no void at the staircase or strange basement hills!
As the teen who got a (finished) basement bedroom and a separate bathroom i can confirm it was the best, window or no window!
I wish Lilsimsie had given her a bathroom down there. It's important for teens to have bathroom access!
I would prefer an attic bedroom over a basement bedroom, but either one would have been cool 😊🩷

You could use a big mirror to simulate a window in your basement builds. It’s done a lot in real life to reflect light back into the room.

The shelf trick she talks about at 14:01 does work for placing things lower as long as the object you're placing slots into the inside of the shelf.
