Man that was a quick hour or so of flying! Lol. Almost seemed to be only a few minutes long. I must be getting old to the point that time flys as we get older? Lol. Looks like a fun flight
Hi Captain, What’s your view about single engine taxi out for ATR, no procedures on FCOM but during my initial days on ATR as FO I have seen some Capt doing single engine taxi out on ATR. What’s you view on this for single engine taxi out
I was common to taxi out single engine at large airports. However, ATR do not recommend it anymore because it might distract the flight crew. Furthermore, if a problem occurs during engine start, the aircraft will have to taxi back to the apron.
Suvarnabhumi must have a lot of other traffic, I guess you really must keep your head on a swivel when flying there. I thought they even were going to redirect domestic traffic back to Don Mueang due constraints at Suvarnabhumi?
Suvarnabhumi had a lot of traffic before Covid-19, but it has the capacity to handle it. A new satellite terminal is ready when the traffic returns to normal, and a third runway is soon under construction. ATC is very professional, and that helps a lot. Don Mueang is used by low cost carriers, with the exemption of Thai VietJet, which operates from Suvarnabhumi. Both airports have a mix of domestic and international flights.
@@FlywithMagnar Thanks for the update! I haven't been to Thailand for 5 years now, covid kind of got in the way as lately - but I've been a regular visitor for the past 20 years. I plan to return in November. It must have been a great experience to be able to fly in such a beautiful country with some the friendliest people in the world around you.
