Hi Captain...I'm a little worried about the weight that ATR 72 can handle in hot tempratures . I'm flying with 72-600 and with some calculations I made I think it is overweight. I am flying from Ioannina to Athens with a distance of 400 km in a straight line, so the plane will need to travel about 500 km and will need about 2,700 kg of fuel. Τhe issue is that in the flight will be 72 people (72 people *85kg = 6120kg). So the airplane will weigh 13,600+2,700+6,120=22,420 kg on the take off. The plane will take off from a runway at 1300 feet altitude and temperature about 37 degrees Celsius. But altitude and temperature limit the aircraft to about 21,300 kg for takeoff. Thank you
Mass too low sitting, hand on throttle from the top unless u want to activate by mistake the GA, after landing procedure and checks is important but look outside on taxi as well from time to time, multi crew…. Was last flight of day? I see u turnoff the windshield heat as well. Good job
Nice landing but why all the button pressing and turning kit off during landing roll, thats a recipe for an incident, concentrate on landing/decelerating, then do after landing flows once clear of runway
I noticed that the pilots haven’t used the 3 balls on the windscreen to lineup and synchronize they’re respective line of sight. Not a good habit. The copilot could easily loose sight of the runway in the flair and the captain would have no idea. I think this is dangerous and shows poor cockpit discipline.
Such a smooth landing well done ! Wish you all the best in the future !
Thanks, you too!
wow! nice to see the ATR 72-500 flightdeck.
Air Chathams have 2 in New Zealand ZK-MCO and ZK-MCU
Thanks ❤
The seats have a height adjustment right?
Yeah 👍
