- The Lexus RC F is an attractive coupe with a big heart...engine, that is. Does turning up the "F" knob on the RC make it a better car? Brian heads out to some excellent back roads to find out. Don't forget to like and subscribe!
The RCF is such an underrated car. People crap on it way too much without realizing that some people simply don't want to own a BMW/Mercedes...etc. I LOVE my 2020 RCF. It's exactly how I wanted it spec, down to the same white/black leather interior which anytime someone gets in says "wow, that looks so nice". It's a very comfortable car with some grunt. It's not obnioxious at all and it's plenty fast. I can EASILY get to 3 digit speeds on the highway and it doesn't even feel like I'm going fast. One of my biggest gripes is that Lexus muted the car too much. It has a glorious high reving N/A engine and it screams to be heard. I installed a catback exhaust and it's not insanely loud at all. You only really know something magical is under the hood on cold starts, and then when you get on the acceleration. Other than that, I can cruise, talk on the phone/listen to music no problems without having to scream and or crank the volume up.
292 RCF's were sold in 2020,. I'm very pleased to be in that small group. Plus the face lifted version to me looks so much nicer and up to date than the previous years.
Excellent points, thanks for the comments! We have even more RCF coverage for you, including some track time: ua-cam.com/video/ZsLyFBbTIf0/v-deo.html
I've got a 2020 as well and LOVE it
Very good post. People who can’t afford these cars (or BMWs) are always saying the RCF is “slow” and they need the German interiors/engines..you can’t drive a spec sheet. The RCF is plenty fast for the streets. Can easily get to “go to jail” speeds.
mate is the seat comfortable for a daily drive of 140kms? Also what's the mileage you get on this ? Currently I use the 350 F sport and planning for the RCF.
@@sam8519 Seats are insanely comfortable to me yet hold you. They are not unfomfortable to me at all and I'm 6'2" at around 170lbs. Milage...lol. I get 9mpg on average but I don't drive this car to get good MPG. I have other cars and a CT200h when I want to get 40mpg. Everytime I push the gas pedal I smile and that what this car does to me 🙂
This will be overall different from the 350 f-sport. It will be stiffer for sure.
Excellent video. Thanks.
Thanks for tuning in! We appreciate it. Make sure you subscribe for more!
Thanks a lot mate. I can feel the passion over your words👍
It may have been wet, but looks like you had some fun with it. I have a 2015 loaded with everything but the all weather package. This is a very good car and I just love it. I've had it a little over a year and I have only seen one on the road. I've seen more LC 500's than RC F's.
日本で2014年式のRCFに乗っています。2UR-GSEだけが、唯一の日本製ピュアスポーツV8エンジンです。インテリアは少々古いですが、この車はいつか伝説になってくれると思っています。
The RC F is definitely unique and in its own niche. You are right that it wold hold a high status over time. Enjoy your ride!
One thing I like about the Australian market for the RC F is that they don't have any options: everything is standard. Mark Levinson, TVD, moonroof, triple-beam headlights, leather. All standard. The RC F Carbon is I guess a variant, and that's what gets all the carbon parts. But it's not really an "option", per se. The only real option you had was the wheels.
It makes shopping for one used so great, because every car has the same features and you don't need to shop around to find the configuration you like. Unfortunately due to crash regulations the RC (along with the IS and CT) were discontinued as of November 2021, so only ~360 cars in total exist in the country. That includes the carbon, track edition and F10 models.
Wow. Didn't know that! Too bad there are so few, but that will certainly keep values up!
Those tires hate wet surfaces 😂 be careful 😂 25,000 dollars to replace that diff so you better have money after warranty!
Those tires SUCK in the wet! And holy sh*t, you're not wrong on that diff! parts.lexus.com/p/lexus__RC-F/Differential/78569869/4110029015.html
The 2015 is better to me. You can actually tune the car and I prefer the looks over the updated version. Either way, it's an amazing car.
Nice review
Thank you! And welcome to the channel!
