Edward Bernayse666 I'm so excited to see the US play more. They've always had top level physique and endurance, and now it seems like the skill factor is catching up. Cant wait for more games :D
Edward Bernayse666 the comeback against Bosnia was in Sarajevo, not the US. Not only did we come back against them, we embarrassed them in their capital
KEEP CALM and PLAY SOCCER IN YOUR PAJAMAS Cilessen is good (as in decent) but he's not yet on the level of say Stekelenburg, he can probably reach that level in the future as he's still young but I doubt he will be absolutly world class like van der Sar was (our best keeper ever). The back line was very slobby in the end, it's no excuse to loosing but it's obviously our squad's biggest weakness. I think it's mostly due to inexperience but it might also be lack of motivation or a combination of both. You can't take anything away from the USA though, like look at 5:28 , bad defense or not that's a great pass without which USA wouldn't have had the oppurtunity.
Cpt. Planet Cilessen is better by A LOT. There is no better keeper than Cilessen as of now. After the World Cup 2010 when Stekelenburg went to AS Roma it wasn't long before he got out of shape. The World Cup 2010 was the greatest form Stekelenburg ever had. As of now CIlessen is vastly superior. ( Irritant om Engels te moeten praten tegen een Nederlander, maar zo kan de rest ook nog gewoon meelezen ;) )
Childerik DeVrome so you think cilessen is better than stekelenburg was at the WC 2010? i guess we can agree to disagree :). don't get me wrong im from amsterdam so i would love our ajax keeper to be the greatest but i feel that that's not an objective outlook xD
Cpt. Planet I didn't say he's better than Maarten was in '10, but he clearly is the best goalkeeper at the moment. I can't really compare his '14 appearance with Maarten's '10 appearance. Both seem reasonably close to each other. But you said Cilessen was decent, he clearly is way better than 'decent'.
Kevin Aranda I agree with your on Yelin but I want him to be better than what he is now. He will most likely go out on loan next season I get a chance to play consistently. Rn he isn't a 90 min player. John is only 21 so he has time to improve.
There was no Beasler or Omar and And Shea started over Johnson so three of our 4 starting back line from the World Cup didn't start I'd say they did pretty well to only concede 3 with the likes of Van Persie Huntelar Depay and others attacking
Imagine if US actually gave a shit about football the way they did for other sports. This is the 5th most popular sport in US and they are still able to usually compete(occasionally beat) with the top teams in Europe and South America for whom Football is everything.
Bradley is so under rated by many American Soccer fans. He can run the ball, dribble in tight situations, and can pass the ball with the best of them. A true midfield general.
I disagree honestly, I think Bradley is way overrated by everyone. Besides a few games here and there (like this one) he usually has very poor passing and doesn't think quick enough, he spends too much time on the ball.
About time! If you've seen the past games he's played with the U.S., he's had many chances and opportunities and couldn't finish! In one game idk if it was to tie or to win, but Wood had a chance and wasted it -.- but it's good he's on the score sheet now!
JetroBR it was a wide open friendly where everybody tends to be in the mode of attacking even with a lead which makes it more exciting but if this was a world cup match it would've been played differently and more conservatively.
War of 1812 was a statistic draw if you'd bothered to read any history or do research. If anything, it was a huge American victory to stave off the Brits (again) and Canadians.
Michael Bradley the LEGEND! He gets hate but man is he clutch... USMNT fans need to realize he is the heart and soul of this team him and Clint. Future looks bright for us
This was bigger than the Germany win in my book. Dutch had almost the entire A team out that day(where Germany was a mostly rotated squad) and really Robben was the only first team regular that was absent and the USA managed to fight back and beat an extremely good Dutch side. Well done boys.
The USA appears to have quality options at striker outside of Jozy (both Zardes and Agudelo have the strength and size to play Jozy's style. Even Jordan Morris as well). But our defense leaves a lot to be desired. I think Gonzalez and Besler are the best CB combo for the near future, but Brooks isn't far behind at all. Just has to clean up his mental game a little!!
knzboii Brooks is one of the reasons of 2 of the Dutch goals. He needs to work on positioning and not ball watching. He will get there though. I think our best pair is Besler and Omar/Cameron
I remember watching this match vividly. Lots of fluke shots and shots that hit the bar/posts. Wild result. Bobby Wood always seemed to be in the right place at the right time and had some clutch moments for us. He's an underrated player from a forgotten era of the team.
Im really liking this Jordan Morris kid, game winning goal against Mexico in his first cap and looked very comfortable with game winning assist against world class Netherlands team. Not bad for a college kid nobody heard of two month ago
Anyone who has half a brain and looks at the USMNT without political bias knows that they are a solid, good second-tier team that can pull off the occasional upset. They are not a bad team, and many other coaches and teams know that. Great team? No. Top tier team? No. But they can play good soccer. There's a very big drop off between the best teams in the world and the others. Most of the hate towards the US soccer team is based on dislike and hate for the stereotypical American and the government's actions toward the rest of the world. But to be honest, despite American imperialism, people should not take that out on the soccer team and players. Soccer is a sport of national pride, yes, but don't let that hatred cloud simple judgement.
Great Result! And in Holland as well. Bradley kept the team together and played an amazing game in the midfield. And when Yedlin came on they just couldn't stop his speed. I also like that Yedlin never gives up on a play like when they slide tackled him to the ground he could have took the foul but almost made a goal out of it. Congrats team and Jürgen. USA!
United States lineup: Guzan; Chandler, Alvarado, Brooks, Shea; Bradley, Beckerman, Morales; Zardes, Johannsson, Johnson. Subs: Yedlin, Evans, Morris, Diskerud, Rimando, Agudelo, Williams, Orosco, Ibarra, Wood. We've come along way, we have a good chance on Saturday in R16.
amazing game with a good team spirit to fight back, but we need to serious fix this poor defense we have. Jon Brooks was our weak link in the game, but he still has time to learn and develop. nonetheless, this gives hope for the future of the USMT.
JulianVeggies Ehhh not sold on john brooks imo. We are stacked in our u-23, u-20 etc. ranks. I don;t see him on the starting squad for the next world cup. Maybe on the bench.
LilRedRasta Ridiculous. Brooks scored and is our best passing CB. He has been great for us in big games. Scored the go ahead goal vs Ghana etc.. He is going to be in our CB pool for a long time.
LilRedRasta Brooks is actually U23 eligible. He is better than any U23 or U20 CB. He is a starter in Germany. And he wasn't directly to blame for any of the goals, Alvarado and Orozco were.
Maiq TheLiar yeah but a defenders first and foremost responsibility is to help defend the goal. if he can come forward and score goals on corners or the way that he did here than that's good but its still only a plus.
Richard Maxmillan The eye test says they were much more potent offensively. I don't let USA fandom shade my perspective. We are not equal to or better than the dutch in this sport and it will be a while before we are.
Maiq TheLiar We're definitely not. I do think the US had much better chances before the goal and throughout the game.. Just a matter of finishing honestly. Like you said, from a talent persepctive we're not going to be near the Dutch or most other big powerhouses for a while. I'm definitely encouraged by the performance however.
Great resiliance from the USA, but horrible defending by Holland near the end. There are some USA fans that will think that this result and the one over Germany will think that they're now an elite team, but are still far from that. Holland could've easily scored a couple more goals that they should've put away and the USA still have major defensive problems. However they have a great energy boost late in games that can carry them if it's a close game.
***** Yeah I never liked it that they hired Hiddink. If UEFA didn't add 8 more teams to the Euro's then Holland would be in a terrible position to finish in first place, but they should be fine and still might finish 2nd.
Tbh this is probably the worst Holland team I've ever seen it's just a team full of selfish individuals and they proved that in qualifying for the Euros
Ironic that these two teams ended up not qualifying for Russia. These were considered two the of most promising teams in their respective regions at the time.
Commander it truly is amazing what the German coach is done. Under him, we've had good play and results against Italy, Mexico, Bosnia, Netherlands, Germany, and others. Is Recruiting is excellent and our team now looks like a patchwork of America, which it should be.
One thing we need to work on is with these younger players is the defending. The us backline from the looks of it played atrociously. And so did NED's by the way.
LilRedRasta Like you said, these younger players. It would be a very different roster if the Gold Cup started today. RickChavo misses the whole point of these friendlies. Klinsmann knows what he has with Besler, Gonzales, Dedoya, Zusi, Dempsey... and the MANY others that didn't make the trip. This trip was more about the younger guys facing elite opponents than it was about fine tuning the top players the USMNT has to offer. You have to develop the younger talent and calling them up to face the better players in the world is part of that. Only 2 of the defenders they took with them were over 25 years old. Most were right at 23 years old. The under 23 were playing in the Toulon Tournament at the time of this trip. They came in 3rd.
That Morris kid is going to be a special player for the US, just keep watching him develop to become one of the greatest US player...! And looks like, Michael Bradley is back...!
AbolaCadernos With the exception of 1988, the Dutch have the tendecy to slip up during semis or finals. Also, they're prone to internal feuds, loads of it.
+ryukdluffy Sick (Bedoya), Injured (Brooks and Johansson), out of position (Jones, Johnson) and on the bench (Wood, Yedlin, Zusi with Yedlin to come on out of position). Terrible chemistry. We pretty much just gave Mexico that game so their stupid US-Born fans can finally be happy for the first time in four years.
Who would've thought these two would miss the following World Cup in 2018 and then meet in the R16 in 2022. Looking forward to the game on Saturday
Who would’ve thought the netherlands would score the exact same way the usmnt did against them 7 yrs ago.
The new/young-upcoming talent USMNT sure choked that R16 against Holland! This lineup would have done better than 2022 world cup…lol 😑 🤦♂️
They sadly both didn't make it far but I hope 2026 is different
Dutch coach said his team was not used to an opponent never quitting even when down two goals with 10 minutes left on the road....great win for US
Dalton Morgan Did he really? Wow that's quite a compliment.
Dalton Morgan I doubt he said that
piet vink Van Persie also said USA deserved to win
Dalton Morgan Hahaha, fun fact; U$A ego rubbing is a fun sport. They seem to crave it so much they can't detect sarcasm.
Ditje Datje :)
USA!!! This was a badass game!, had me out of my seat screaming golazoooo at the forth usa goal.
Same
arnold fernandez Pfeh... 'murica
Me and my brother hugged and started flipping shit jumping up and down haha
Me and my brother sat there in disbelief after the 4th
Same here Haha
man this team never gives up
They did it in russia 2018 😲
🤣
Who would have guessed this would be a meeting between two teams that didn't make the world cup?
They are back in the 2022 wc excited to see both 🇺🇸🇳🇱
And now they are playing in the knockout stage.
And now they meet again at the World Cup. Bright me back to this game
And now they’re…. Wow you guys came here before I did!!!
AND NOW WE WAIT FOR SATURDAY
Greatest comeback since the Altidore Hat Trick vs. Bosnia
jsdima9113 except here we were playing a better team on their own turf and then went out and beat germany on their field a few days later.
Edward Bernayse666 I'm so excited to see the US play more. They've always had top level physique and endurance, and now it seems like the skill factor is catching up. Cant wait for more games :D
Edward Bernayse666 the comeback against Bosnia was in Sarajevo, not the US. Not only did we come back against them, we embarrassed them in their capital
sccrdude22 hahahhaha greatest comback........both games were friendlies nobody gives a fuck about them.
this was my first live pro soccer game, WILL NEVER FORGET.
who else came back just to see we’ve done it once we can do it again, crazy yedlin played this match
No he couldnt. He never could. Always kicked the ball without looking. Dude was ass and still is.
Congratulations USA from a dutch guy, you beat us fair, great game to watch!
Cpt. Planet How good is that Dutch goalkeeper, and that particular back line?
KEEP CALM and PLAY SOCCER IN YOUR PAJAMAS
Cilessen is good (as in decent) but he's not yet on the level of say Stekelenburg, he can probably reach that level in the future as he's still young but I doubt he will be absolutly world class like van der Sar was (our best keeper ever).

Wow, back when Zardes could actually finish. Incredible to see so many shots on target!
I saw you in another video wtf
He just hits it and hopes for the best most of the time.
I've been waiting for the highlights
Sean Bolden Its a television rights issue.
This should be titled Huntelaar vs USA
Huntellaar the man who kicked off México of world cup
#NoEraPenal :(
JnL : ( feel bad 😔 sorry dude I am from USA
Great result, but we have to do something about our poor defense
It will get better with time and chemistry. Brooks has to improve but they also gotta find him a partner. Yelin isn't ready yet. Gotta find a CDM tho.
Black Harem king Goals came after Yedlin came in.
Kevin Aranda I agree with your on Yelin but I want him to be better than what he is now. He will most likely go out on loan next season I get a chance to play consistently. Rn he isn't a 90 min player. John is only 21 so he has time to improve.
William Barrier That was far from our best defense. Cameron and many MLS players were absent for this game.
There was no Beasler or Omar and And Shea started over Johnson so three of our 4 starting back line from the World Cup didn't start I'd say they did pretty well to only concede 3 with the likes of Van Persie Huntelar Depay and others attacking
Watching this to get ready for Saturday. Lets go USA!
1-3😢
Praying for this result tomorrow🙌
It might be 1-2 usa
Imagine if US actually gave a shit about football the way they did for other sports. This is the 5th most popular sport in US and they are still able to usually compete(occasionally beat) with the top teams in Europe and South America for whom Football is everything.
True and I think Williams, Morris, and diskerud would have made a difference in the Copa america and they probably would have won it too.
+DJustin210 definitely williams
+DJustin210 I think Morris, Johannsson and Williams Would be great for the US
+BP TV (USA #1) yeah and take out Beckerman and jones
DJustin210 I think they can still help the team, especially Jones.
Here before USA vs Netherlands in 2022 round of 16 game ⚽⚽⚽
The way they came back is absolutely amazing.
You lads came a long way since the World Cup, and Belgium looks forward to hosting a friendly.
I love the fact that Zardes is playing for the national team. He is physically gifted and has all the potential in the world
Aaaaaaand its gone
I miss the old logo

I miss this version of the USMNT. :(
Miki Turner good point... :(

He had a great game
KCüberAlles OVERRATED? You have to be shitting me?
Sempuukyaku He was dogcrap in the WC, no denying that..
SonOfHanni Yes he absolutely was. But outside of that he's been money for both the USMNT and Toronto FC
I love the European class and applause after each attempt and goal
This team here NEVER gave up!!! This was probably by far one of the best teams we have had 😭
Hello old friend. We meet again.
IT'S THERE FOR BOBBY WOOD!
Yea that sounded so corny
About time! If you've seen the past games he's played with the U.S., he's had many chances and opportunities and couldn't finish! In one game idk if it was to tie or to win, but Wood had a chance and wasted it -.- but it's good he's on the score sheet now!
The commentator would've been fantastic for the 1970's
+jsdima9113 Well, now he's possibly our best player.
Now we meet in the 2022 WC and I'm unsure of the roster difference with the Netherlands but boy are they seeing a different team this weekend lol
Who else is here before we play the Netherlands in the round of 16.
I was there with my family in Netherlands😁happy we won
One of the best matches in 2015,better than the UCL Final
Attacking wise .......
UCL was kind of boring to be honest
JetroBR Eh, UCL final was ok. I think this is the same as it. The best game this year in my opinion was PSG vs Chelsea..._that_ was a game!
JetroBR it was a wide open friendly where everybody tends to be in the mode of attacking even with a lead which makes it more exciting but if this was a world cup match it would've been played differently and more conservatively.
JetroBR UCL was a competitive game, vs a meaningless friendly, you stupid schmuck, usgay.....
Van Persie disliked this video.
Van Persie is overrated
Hahaha I'm an American Arsenal fan......so pleasing to see my team beat his.
Van persie does look like he's getting a little old in this video
***** I thought it was Van Pussy
***** same. What makes it better is that there is only one dislike XD
Round of 16. Can you imagine that score on Saturday. Ha!
US displayed world class character & compsure even after being in a 2 goal deficit. Glad to see em leave with a W.
"When you have been kicking ass and taking names since 1776, haters gonna hate". -Daniel Tosh
P.S. The Europeans know all too well of this ;) #USA
Right, when Britain burned down the White House and kicked American rear in 1812-1815 war
War of 1812 was a statistic draw if you'd bothered to read any history or do research. If anything, it was a huge American victory to stave off the Brits (again) and Canadians.
I love the commentary
Do it again boys!
This should be a fun match to run back with totally new players
Michael Bradley the LEGEND! He gets hate but man is he clutch... USMNT fans need to realize he is the heart and soul of this team him and Clint. Future looks bright for us
He was a great player. But now he is but a shadow of his former self.
Weirdly enough the Netherlands score 3 goals again 7 years later in the Round of 16 World Cup but the US scores 3 goals less
I love Jon Champion's commentary.
This was bigger than the Germany win in my book. Dutch had almost the entire A team out that day(where Germany was a mostly rotated squad) and really Robben was the only first team regular that was absent and the USA managed to fight back and beat an extremely good Dutch side. Well done boys.

ESPN is part of the illuminati
+VlogsWithBros Vlogs and More WTF LOL
Yeah I saw that...
Yes they did, right after they showed Wood score. That was before that moment.
Lol, the Dutch scored 4 times they didn't show that
underrated game
ready to win again

knzboii Brooks is one of the reasons of 2 of the Dutch goals. He needs to work on positioning and not ball watching. He will get there though. I think our best pair is Besler and Omar/Cameron
this replay will never get old.
NOW THIS IS MY TEAM!!! THEY HAVE COME BACK FROM THE WORLD CUP!!! THEY HAVE REALLY COME BACK THIS TIME!!! THAT'S THE SPIRIT MAN!!!
Qatar World Cup 2022:
so we meet again….
Hoping history repeats itself 🤞🏼
The best game ive watched live in soooo long
and we meet again
US might not have the best team on the pitch most nights, but they always have the most heart. Those dudes never quit.

Damn. Miss this USMNT. Now we can't even qualify for the World Cup
I miss this USMNT.
This USMNT had two good games that year lol. We’re better off now.
We gon win
wow what a comeback , I'm Brazilian bit after seeing this I got the chills
And we play each other on Saturday after beating Iran. Don't think we'll be scoring 4 goals tho 😂
Awesome game from both sides! So sad I couldn't watch it live, but amazed with the result we got and especially the style we got it in. USA!!!
Anyone else notice that at 8:26 it is 3-4 and then quickly goes back to 3-3 before the us scores agin? Like if u noticed this
Im really liking this Jordan Morris kid, game winning goal against Mexico in his first cap and looked very comfortable with game winning assist against world class Netherlands team. Not bad for a college kid nobody heard of two month ago

None of those people play anymore
@@the99mistakes yedlin literally is in this world cup squad
@@the99mistakes What you mean? Yedlin, Morris are on the squad in Qatar
Bradley was severely underestimated as a passer of the ball.
7:24 look at the scoreboard! The broadcaster predicted the result before US scored!
wild, I don't think berhalter's sides would ever get a result like this

Let's run it back 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
They dominated us offensively, luckily we were able to take advantage of their defensive lapses.
Yan Toha Possession was 50-50 and shots on goal 14-12
Nope, it was a fair game. Each side had good offense play but equally bad defence.
Richard Maxmillan The eye test says they were much more potent offensively. I don't let USA fandom shade my perspective. We are not equal to or better than the dutch in this sport and it will be a while before we are.

I mean we could play counter attack and win or good play and prob lose. We just aren't good enough yet and Klinsman realizes that. Good coah
man, the amount of times the crossbars were rung in this game
Jurgen is a master, every time he throws a sub in they always have an impact in the game, Danny williams scores, yedlin assist, Wood scores
Tony Garcia oh and Morris had the kick to make the corner for Danny williams goal. and the assist to wood
Tony Garcia Hard to beat that Green goal.
I think Morris has that, "It," factor that just can't be taught or learned. I really hope he goes pro and flourishes into a superstar for us!
or not

They both got shot by the Stupid Ray during qualifiers.
My God, these guys will win the World Cup much earlier than we thought.
i didn't watch the first half, but holy crap we are getting better at creating play. Need improvement in the defense.

You have to develop the younger talent and calling them up to face the better players in the world is part of that.
Only 2 of the defenders they took with them were over 25 years old. Most were right at 23 years old. The under 23 were playing in the Toulon Tournament at the time of this trip. They came in 3rd.
Michael Bradley is a beast
Amazing win. A bit lucky, perhaps, but still a great, confidence-boosting result at a very important time leading into the Gold Cup.
US Soccer Rising!
i was starting to wonder what was talking so long to upload this
What was taking*
I love games like these.
Yedlin and the subtitutes changed the game.
Yedlin was abusing his pace against a tired blind
Usa now has a lot of future
We have a much better team now and our boys are gonna shock the world. Go Go USA!
😂😂😂
Victories like this still boil my blood at how we fired Klinnsman.
Who's watching in 2019?
Man I wish Bradley could've played this good in the world cup...
First Italy, then Mexico in the Azteca, and now Holland in Amsterdam. Say what you will about us, but stats don't lie.
***** And then after we beat Germany there our record against them is now 4W-0D-4L, and we've now beaten all of the soccer powers.
and now you lost against trinidad and tobago
Brian Allison Mexico’s not a soccer power lmao
That Morris kid is going to be a special player for the US, just keep watching him develop to become one of the greatest US player...! And looks like, Michael Bradley is back...!
The Dutch haven't looked good since the World Cup.
AbolaCadernos We never do. Untill the World Cup begins and we suddenly play good
Altijd piet vink ze voelen zich en vinden dat ze heel erg vooruit zijn gegaan omdat ze ons in de laatste 10 minuten hebben verslagen
AbolaCadernos They should get hair transplants.
AbolaCadernos With the exception of 1988, the Dutch have the tendecy to slip up during semis or finals. Also, they're prone to internal feuds, loads of it.
What a crazy game. Still getcexcited watching
what happened to jordan morris? last i remembered, he picked the sounders over werder bremen... i see where that got him
What happened to alot of these guys
Anybody here before the R16 game in 2022 World Cup?
Where was this team during the Mexico match? huh??????
Mexico was too good for them
+ryukdluffy Sick (Bedoya), Injured (Brooks and Johansson), out of position (Jones, Johnson) and on the bench (Wood, Yedlin, Zusi with Yedlin to come on out of position). Terrible chemistry. We pretty much just gave Mexico that game so their stupid US-Born fans can finally be happy for the first time in four years.
+djduckface Belgium was too good for the USA!
Daniel Garcia Well they're too good for Italy too o.o
Yah you're right
I miss this kind of fight from the USMNT
