Frank lampard ur the reason that our hierarchy from youth lever to board is in perfect order, u made our academy system work, u gave us 4-5 players who will play at chelsea foe 10years and made millions in other player sales

Lampard is an absolute football legend. He was a world class player that goes under some peoples radars when thinking of the best players.
Frank Lampard is the type of player that young players should look up to.
Lampard, gerrard and scholes set the benchmarks for midfielders for years to come.

Fantastic interview. I'm a West Ham supporter and I never gave him hard time when he turned out for Chelsea against us. Frank and Joe was always destined to leave WHU in order to further their career. It's how things were back then. Slowly WHU are closing the gap on teams like Chelsea and the games both Frank and Joe played for us, were great memories.
No matter the agenda or what they say… OUT HERE IN NIGERIA 🇳🇬, Lampard will always be seen as a LEGEND
Joe Cole has always been my favorite English player. I used to admire his pace and prowess growing up as a child. What a phenomenon player he was at Chelsea.

Watched in amazement in 1992 when a kid rolled up to a London schools football final to play my school Joe Cole dismantled us on a level i can’t even explain.. he was out of this world... his Dad was a cabbie like my Dad so they were talking (shock horror!! 🗣) lol and he told my Dad he had 30 odd clubs chasing him.. West Ham sponsored the game randomly(or with hindsight maybe not?? 🤔) for peanuts and ended up getting Joe Cole on that basis of that game I believe... Ask Joe if this is true .. Remind him the Hammers School Final .. Enfield Town hosted the game he was at St Aloyuis year 8 if I’m right?? 3-1 and to make it even more crazy he was a year 7 playing up and was still by a country mile the best player on the pitch... I think Jay Boothroyd and Jay loyd Samuel was in their side as well!! (That’s a serious school team now I think!!) 3 prem players in one school!! .. My Old man is 70 and stands by Joe Cole was the best kid he has ever seen play the game 🔥💙

Joe was definitely a mercurial talent in the same vein of Gascoigne. I always thought Joe never did become the player he could've been, his talent was balon d'or level I don't think anyone would deny that.

Yes, things didn't work out the way we and he would have wanted, but this is SUPER FRANK we're talking about, he deserves respect for what he did as a Chelsea player and despite the second season doldrums he did his part in shaping our current squad.
No real Chelsea fans Slag Lampard. SarriSexuals are the ones who slag him. They are more emotionally attached to Sarri than to Chelsea legends that played for the club.
If you are a true Chelsea fan, you simply forget about Lampard the manager now that he is no.more in charge and go back to loving Frank Lampard the player. Simple!

Any decent Chelsea fan won't slag off Lampard. The manager didn't end how we wanted but he built the foundation for the team that won the CL.
Ashley Cole is such an unsung hero within that Chelsea team
He's not at the top of the pecking order but a world class LB for at least a decade, definitely a CFC legend, not unsung in my view

Especially himself looking for the UCL for years with Chelsea as player and how hard it is. But otherwise, good interview mate.

The youth of today are so very lucky. I’d of loved to have listened to this when I was an aspiring player! To hear your idols talk so openly about their careers… It would have certainly have helped a lot of us when we were younger.
What a Chelsea team that was. I’m Scottish, so I’m focused on my own league, but that Chelsea squad drew me into English football.
Two of our ex players I wish they won the ucl with us; Cole & Ballack.

As much as I love Ronaldinho, Prime Messi was the highest peak a football player has ever reached.

Lampards is correct in keeping things simple. It makes me laugh when I see a sub coming on and an assistant coach will showing him photos and giving out instructions and you know the player is not even listening.
I really really hope Frank comes back to coach Chelsea one day after gaining experience hopefully after coaching the England team for years. It was really nice to see him as the Chelsea coach for those one and a half seasons even if we weren't one of the best sides.

I always felt bad that lampard didn't get a Proper farewell at CFC, which might have prompted him to join City. As a manager lampard did well in first season as there was no pressure, he was given a free run but he unfortunately cracked under pressure with all them millions spent.
