Anthony Villanueva the way she explained, her beef seems to be more with the writing of Loki rather than the acting, but for some reason she thinks recasting will fix that. I don't understand it either
My favorite lines 1. Loki “ I’ve been falling... for the last 30 minutes!” 2. Korg- any time he spoke 3. Loki- when he sees Hulk “ I’ve got to get off this planet” 4. Thor - when he interrupts Surtur while being chained up 5. Valkyrie falling off her ship

In regards to rebuilding Mjolnir, I think when Odin says his "What are you? The God of hammers?" speech, its part of Thor realising the redundancy of his hammer. He needed it because he didnt know he didnt need it. Now he knows he's not a guy with a hammer, because he IS the hammer.
Recast Hiddleston as Loki?? with all due respect, that would be insane. If the character of Loki has lost sense of direction (which I find true) is not the actor's fault. In the first Thor movie Loki is the best character by far in terms of motivations and complexity. However, neither the first nor the second part have had the expected box office success if compared to characters like Iron man or Captain America. The fact that the Thor franchise has been trying to improve this revenue success has affected the Loki character's direction in a negative way. Hiddleston has always been as good as it gets in the role.

Yep. I think it would of been better if all 3 of them assembled the armies of Asgard to fight Hela, not just Hogun. I caught Volstagg's death because he had a speaking line and was the first person Hela interacted with on Asgard but Fandral died so fast I barely recognized him before the camera moved away from him!
Just saw the movie and I agree with pretty much everything you said EXCEPT; 1. I don't think Hulk and Valkyrie have a romance, in fact I actually liked their friendship quite a bit. 2. Recasting TOM HIDDLESTON!? Grace that is madness, he IS Loki! What they've done to the character is simply committed to giving him a redemption arc so Thor can have some other villains to focus on, that's not on Tom, in fact I liked Loki best in this, he makes a great straight-man to Thor's comedy.
Grace, this is something that you do, and it baffles the hell out of me. If a film doesn't do well or if a part is underwritten for a certain character you lay the blame soley at the actors feet. We know that Tom Hiddleston if given the right material will do a great job as Loki. Loki was poorly written in Thor Ragnarok and was used as the butt of Thor's Jokes. Does that mean Tom Hiddleston is washed up? Of course it doesn't!!
I agree - he was great to have in the movie - but if more could've been placed on Tessa/Valkyrie and maybe more on the Executioner, then maybe lesser scenes with Korg and Miek would've been okay AGAIN - I think Korg is my new spirit animal and Waititi really brought him to life, but if they make a Hulk standalone and Korg returns and Waititi can reprise his role, then I think Korg's place in the movie can have more ground and reason. Just my opinion.
Yeah you were definitely reaching with Hulk and Valkyrie. There were no signs of a love interest or relationship at all, they were clearly just friends. And definitely not in love.
That is madness I think the subtleties Tom brings to the Loki character are phenomenal and he has offered something in every movie. A recast would be insane
korg and miek are NOTHING like rocket raccoon and groot except in the fact that one is a strong enforcer and the other is a small gunfighter. Their personalities are worlds apart and that is what counts. Otherwise if you think about it, when everyone is fighting they're all basically doing the same thing.. beating up the enemy. But the movies are more than just the actions scenes.. they're mostly dialogues and interactions and that is why i think it's a MUST to keep Korg around. Korg>Groot and RR>Miek (strictly speaking: personality-wise)
I heavily disagree with Tom Hiddleston as Loki. If the character is not going anywhere, I think the screenwritters are to blame rather than him, he's great
You know what though, Korg was MASSIVELY popular with Australian and New Zealand audiences, shame you didn't appreciate him. I don't see a parallel between Rocket and Groot other than its a pair of nonhuman characters. Characterwise, they're nothing alike.
Just wondering if any other aussie/kiwi peps got The Castle reference and the Commadore spaceship. "i want 10 thousand units" "Tell 'er she's dreamin'" only person in my cinema who laughed at that
Really? Spectacularly wrong on the Tom Hiddleston comments about his career, now yes I can get why Grace says Loki may have run his course in the MCU but to say it’s his Jack Sparrow & his career is moribund is wholly inaccurate. There’s more to an actor’s career than Hollywood blockbusters, The Night Manager? High Rise? Hollander? etc etc, also as much as I like Grace’s reviews but I believe in this case she really needs to take out the comic book fan in these Marvel reviews as I reckon 95% of the people who watch the MCU films have never been anywhere near the comics, especially outside of the USA
mjolnir was not a safety check, mjolnir was a means of channeling his power. thus it was not a means of making him weaker, but a means of making him stronger. Mjolnir was never the source of the lightning power, but it let him use his lightning powers before he was capable of using them on his own.
Even in the first Thor movie Odin says "Whoever holds this hammer, gets the powers of THOR" or something like that. And Odin said "What are you, God of Hammers?". Even Marvel Wiki says that Thor Odinson has the powers, Mjolnir is just there to help him and he has used lightning various times without his hammer.
Same. WTH? I didn't get romance at all. Would Hulk even care about romance? They just spar and seem to have a friendship based on their violent impulses. How did that translate into a romance?
I actually appreciated the fact that the movie didn't seem to have 'romance-y' elements in it. I enjoyed the friendship that these characters had and I hope it can develop further as such. There is so much potential to make more of their connection than just following the easy romance pathway.
Also didn't feel it but I guess Grace is relating the comic and the movie since she's assuming Valkyrie acts as a Kayira stand in which in some way, she does.
Tom Hiddleston is the reason we love Loki! So your statement makes no sense! Wtf are you even talking back! Love that this film is entertaining and fun before we get dark and the heroes that will die in Infinity War! So no Grace, people love Hiddleston as Loki! It will never happen, him being recasted, think you lost your marbles!
Before it gets dark? When exactly will it ever get dark and serious with Marvel? Because Odin died, Thor lost an eye, thousands of asgardians died, Asgard was destroyed, Mjolnir got destroyed in this movie, seems to me the tone should have been already dark yet it was a comedy movie... Are you expecting Infinity War to be a serious movie?
DAlex A That’s Because the last two Thor movies well for me at least have been very boring, changing it to a comedy actually kept me laughing and enjoying the plot in the theater
dude i'm pretty sure valkyrie is set up to be with thor, there's a scene that clearly hints at their sexual tension (when they jump into the ship together and had a dramatic pause), there was none between her and hulk just friendly camaraderie
A SHAME Grace keeps attackin Tom Hiddleston every time she has. Personal issues shoudl be taken care somewhere else, this is unprofessional and it´s making her reviews unwatchable.
As a person who doesn't read comic books I really don't understand where IN THIS movie where something about Hulk / Valkyrie ? They weren't even friends, they were just friendly with each other.
Are you freaking kidding me about Loki?! Tom plays him so good and I can't wait to see more of him as Loki. I feel like you just have something personal against Tom because in other reviews you also bashed his, he is such an amazing actor!!! And I know for a fact that one of the biggest reasons a lot of people go watch the Thor movies is for Loki. You should set your personal issues asside, its unprofessional.
I really don't agree with what you said about Loki, I think that Tom still plays his so incredibly well and I definitly wouldn't want to see anyone else play him. Loki had some of the funniest moments in the movie.
Oh come on tom hiddleston Loki is what makes the thors movies and the first avengers and people love loki have you not seen comic con hall H people when nuts over tom hiddleston Loki
i did research i found this, is that accurate? Dr. Stephen Strange bound Thor's lifeforce to Mjolnir to repair the hammer. Via this bond, Thor has a strong affinity with the forces of weather and acting as a conduct can channel Mjolnir's powers through himself allowing him to summon lighting from his hands
mathieu st-onge I'm pretty sure that's been retconned. The current comic version only has super strength and that is kind of the point. You want to see what kind of hero he is without the power of Mjolnir.
Yeah and Odin specifically says "Who ever can field this hammer GETS THE POWERS OF THOR" or something like that. They've told about those Thor powers in the first Thor movie, but people just don't pick the little things. Thor lost HIS powers when Odin threw him out in the first movie and like Odin said in the movie "What are you, God of Hammers?"
personally, i think you're totally wrong about tom hiddleston as loki. it's not his fault that they barely used him at all in this movie. it doesn't mean he's a bad actor, or that he's lost his touch or whatever. i would rather they just get rid of the character (as they have done with so many of the original thor cast) than recast him. no freakin way.
Grace, the scene where Hela appears was changed, after the test screenings. If you watched any of the BTS clips, that scene was shot on an actual set. It was originally conceived as a NYC alleyway, which is why the CGI is so poor. As for Loki.... I always felt, that the MCU version was written as an antihero. He is the god of mischief, but not actually evil.
Hi, I don't know where else to put this but holy shit. Batman v Superman and Justice League theories. 1. In the scene where Lex creates Doomsday, the Kryptonian ship's AI says "action forbidden, the Counsil of Krypton decreed anyone from giving life to such deformity ever again" meaning they already created the real Doomsday way before! Whether he's alive or died with Krypton, we'll have to wait. 2. Does anyone else think that the whole Batman v Superman movie was created just for the sake of the Apokolips scene? It seems that it's like a movie within another movie, and the conflict between Batman and Superman seems so stupid in comparison to that scene. It is not a dream or a nightmare! How could Bruce imagine Parademons in his dream if he's never seen them? Anyway, I hope someone sees this and realizes how complex DCEU really is
I usually agree with your reviews however.... RECAST LOKI?! RECAST LOKI?! I disagree completely with your comments about Loki. Tom Hiddleston is an amazing actor and portrays Loki as a villain brilliantly. Loki's character is my favorite part of the ENTIRE Thor movies. In fact, he's my favorite Marvel character. Tom does a fantastic job at showing the complexity of Loki's character and his range throughout the films that he's been in has been great. Yes this movie was more on the comedy side and we didn't see much drama between Loki and Thor like the last Thor movie, however, there were plenty of small moments that his character shined in this film. The elevator scene being one of them. He does not need to be recast AT ALL. Don't know why that idea would even come to your mind...like seriously. Wtf.
just saw the movie and really loved it. just 15 minutes into this review and 50% of what you say is not only negative but also nitpicky. of course i came to hear your opinion but this is a bit much. just 1 example of somewhat pointless criticism, you complain the hulk doesn't ask about black widow after seeing the video in the jet, but it's literally the first thing he does. edit: as the review continues, i'm getting more and more frustrated with the criticisms being made because i feel they are, if not unfounded, totally off the mark. it's like you're criticizing the movie for not being what you want it to be, instead of criticizing what it is. you didn't make this film, get over it.
It's not Tom's fault his character has grown stale. He has been the ONLY recurring villain in the MCU and his character development has pretty much finished. What more can they do with Loki that we haven't seen already? He manipulated his brother to get him exiled (Thor 1), Found out about his true heritage and embraced it (Thor 1), attempted to take the throne (Thor 1), attempted to conquer Earth (Avengers 1), assembled the Avengers as a team (Avengers 1), teamed up with his brother (Thor 2), "died" (Thor 2), finally became ruler of Asgard (Thor 2). What we saw in this movie we have seen before. His character is done. Not the actor.
Yeah although I do agree with Grace that if they're keeping Loki, I want him to do mischievous stuff. I personaly think the directors of Ragnarok have made the mistake of Hela bringing Ragnarok instead of Loki. Loki needs to backstab people more and become a misunderstood villain. Misunderstood, maybe, but more a villain. A bit Kylo Ren perhaps?
I dont think that the relationship between hulk and valkyrie was intended to be romantic, I think that they wanted it mainly to be a friendly relationship... an angry friendly relationship
I think Hiddleston can still bring something to the character. He was quite amazing in "The Night Manager". He's got acting chops, so perhaps he just needs better material in his next outing? Plus, I'm pretty sure Loki's got something up his sleeve so to speak which will make Infinity War interesting.
I'm Thinking that Loki has the tesseract up his sleeve gonna backstab Thor by giving it to Thanos then he will backstab Thanos and die in the process. BANG
Dik Zak he's on set for Avengers 4 so unlikely he'll die in Infinity Wars. But I do think Marvel keeping his involvement with IW secret until the trailer release means he's important to the plot of the next two Avengers films.
Yeah, to me, there was no indication that valkyrie was in a relationship with hulk wtf. Hulk was like a child, and it seemed like she was interacting with a child. And then she was upset when they hinted at a relationship with Thor and valkyrie...but that was the actual ship, not hulk and valkyrie. Heck, neither ship even matters to the movie.
Loki's role was just fine because like his job role describes, he's the god of mischief, not the god of evil. So he pretty much can go anyway, but always in the back of your mind you feel he literally has a knife read to stab you. He kept you on edge the whole movie wondering which way he would go until Thor finally calls him on it and flipped the switch. No, that's exactly how Loki should be portrayed , a guy that could go 50/50 but always for his own benefit one way or another. He does not need a recast
Wouldn't be a Grace review without at least one super bizarre opinion 😁😁 Was getting weirded out because I was agreeing with pretty much everything until that point.
She lost me there, as well. Loki has always been the best thing about the Thor films, and that is almost entirely due to Hiddleston's performance. I have no idea what Grace has against him, but it's kind of unprofessional of her to downplay the character like that due to some weird personal grudge or whatever. Recasting (are you actually kidding?) or killing off Loki would be one of the biggest mistakes Marvel could ever make. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot.
Cade Grimm the only downside about Loki is that his character is going nowhere. Hela should have killed him or taken him to the death realm.. I feel like it was a missed opportunity.
I honestly wouldn't be able to take whoever plays Loki seriously if they recast him. They've already developed his relationship with Thor for 4 movies now. Would piss myself laughing if all of a sudden some other dude/chick in a black wig just started bantering with Thor. If the character isn't doing enough mischievous stuff, I would argue that's more script than actor, but to each their own. Good review Grace, very detailed and thorough!
Loki is not always a bad guy, mischief is not always obviously a villain. This showed more of the aspect of Loki that is all about self preservation. When he is being helpful it's really because of his own reasons. So when he becomes a villain again, it is special.
yeah no Tom Hiddleston is the only God of Mischief thank you very much I think he was as awesome as he used to be back in phase one. as an actors, he just fails to get a good deal of movies but this man is so so talented and loves his craft and one of the kindest person in the industry SO IN THIS HOUSE WE DO NOT TOLERATE SLANDER ON THE ONLY LOKI LAUFEYSON THERE IS AND WILL EVER BE
One note. When Banner jumped he kinda died becoming The Hulk as a defense mecanism. In the first Avengers movie, Banner said it, he tried to kill himself with a bullet and Hulk spit it out.
I love Thor and Loki's relationship as brothers! I love their interactions with each other. They fight but they care for one another. Why would Loki had left the Grandmaster's planet if he didn't. Loki seems tired of always going though life alone and now wants to team up with Thor and possibly be an avenger himself! His character has changed some. I like Tom as Loki and it's ok if you don't Grace but Tom is staying as Loki. I hope too that they make more Thor movies. I think you're unfair to Karl Urban too. He was in Lord of the Rings and now he's a main character in the Star Trek movies. He's my favorite in the new Star Trek movies too. They probably wanted Hela to have someone to talk to during the movie because Thor wasn't in Asgard. I don't really believe Hela needed an executioner because she was the goddess of death. Karl's character shooting all those zombies to protect the people on the ship was cool sacrifice.
This is without a doubt the weirdest review I've seen so far.I wonder if we saw the same movie because your clearly seeing shit that wasn't there.Goodness GRACE - IOUS!!
I swear, if they touch Tom as Loki I'll rip the MCU apart to find him. I came to see Loki, not Thor. Also loved Korg and Miek just as much as rocket and groot although I didn't make the connection til you mentioned it.
I don't think Loki needs recasting, and Tom Hiddleston has been perfect for the role. What I think you're seeing happen with the character isn't on Tom, but on the writers. Tom as Loki had such a strong reception out of the gate, yet we have him here in his 4th appearance in the MCU; and I think it's clear that the people in charge don't want to let go of the character, but don't know what to do with him. Since it didn't feel like he had much to do in this film than be a tag along for Thor, I think it's time for Loki to be done in the films
Odin said that the hammer helped Thor ‘focus’ his power. The revelation in the movie is that he no longer needs it for that purpose (it was still cool though).
Recast Loki? Lol. If we go by your reasoning then Thor should have been recast a long time ago, but it's not Chris Hemsworth's fault the character was bland, depthless, and completely overshadowed by his more interesting brother. I say thank whatever gods you believe in that Ragnarok breathed some actual life into the character and Thor needed Loki in Ragnarok to give his character dimension. So, in a way Thor is still very dependent on Loki and only Tom Hiddleston can play him the way that was needed for that dimension. Take note that a lot of Thor's more nuanced moments happened around Loki. Recast Loki. That is to laugh.
JJdaPK Exactly ! there is no Loki without Tom. He stole the show in 1st Thor movie. Even as the villain he was all we cared about in Avengers & and yearned for Lokis redemption in 2nd Thor DW movie. In this one, I think they purposely lessened his story & totally changed Chris's role in order to force attention on Thor instead of Loki. In the media, Tom has remained quieter than usual and Chris & Ruffalo are pushed on us alot more.
Hulk and Valkyrie had a more brother sister type relationship than a dating one, and he wasn't running from Nat. One of the first things he asked when he changed back to Banner was where is Nat and is she ok. Odin said the hammer helped Thor focus his power not throttling him. I can't even with the Hiddleston recast. And we all know they can't make a Planet Hulk movie so you do not need to remind us ever couple minutes that it should have been two movies we you know they can't make Planet Hulk. I'm glad you liked the movie but the only real criticism that I agree with you is about Skurge.
This is what I always feel like as an animation fan over here in Austria, with Pixar & DA movies always coming to theatres MONTHS after their US release. I know it makes sense in terms of holidays, movie-going seasons etc - but at this point where globalisation is full under way, it seems absolutely ridiculous to have half the world wait WEEKS for the release of a film that the other half basically knows by heart already.
Grace is obsessed with the Planet Hulk storyline. Its a Thor movie with few Hulk sprinkles. Not meant to be Planet Hulk. Unfortunately there will never be a planet Hulk. Hulk is owned by another studio.
"Would anybody be sad if they recast Tom Hiddleston?"
You gotta be fucking kidding me. I would bring Ragnarok to Earth if they recast Loki.

AGAIN - I think Korg is my new spirit animal and Waititi really brought him to life, but if they make a Hulk standalone and Korg returns and Waititi can reprise his role, then I think Korg's place in the movie can have more ground and reason.
Just my opinion.
Comedic relief from what? The other comedy in the movie?
Uh ole dude from Ant man was hilarious!
Yeah you were definitely reaching with Hulk and Valkyrie. There were no signs of a love interest or relationship at all, they were clearly just friends. And definitely not in love.
Hulk was clearly crushing on her but 'in love" is too much of a stretch.
Also isn't. Hulk still in love with Black Widow she's the whole reason he reverts back to brucr
Bruce Banner is in love with Black Widow. But yeah I agree on Valkyrie and Hulk. They seemed more like sister and brother, not love interests.
i thought they were pairing up valkyrie and thor when i watched it
Same.
Your comments on Hiddleston and Loki are blasphemy! Replace him? cmon now
I take it she hasn't seen The Night Manager or Only Lovers Left Alive
That is madness I think the subtleties Tom brings to the Loki character are phenomenal and he has offered something in every movie. A recast would be insane
i did LOVE Lokis reaction when Hulk threw Thor around like he did in Avengers
Yep, "NOW YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS"
Corey Williams and "I'VE BEEN FALLING FOR THIRTY MINUTES"
TheTrophyTitan "I NEED TO GET OFF THIS PLANET"
And the "We are not doing "Get Help""
Hulk n thor hu won the fight and how
I would be terribly sad if they recast Loki.....
Nina M Imagine Thor looking at Matt Damon as Loki and calling him brother....
They won't recast him. They're not that stupid.
Marvel isn't stupid, recasting Loki would get backlash considering how popular he is. I have no idea where Grace is coming from.
korg and miek are NOTHING like rocket raccoon and groot except in the fact that one is a strong enforcer and the other is a small gunfighter.
FameRK agreed
You're high if you think they should recast Loki.
I heavily disagree with Tom Hiddleston as Loki. If the character is not going anywhere, I think the screenwritters are to blame rather than him, he's great
Good to know you "heavily" disagree
You know what though, Korg was MASSIVELY popular with Australian and New Zealand audiences, shame you didn't appreciate him. I don't see a parallel between Rocket and Groot other than its a pair of nonhuman characters. Characterwise, they're nothing alike.
Aussie here audience was cracking up at all his lines
The Accent and Mannerisms of Korg are literally your typical Maori-New Zealander ,, Trust me ,, Just visit New Zealand and see for yourself lol
Just wondering if any other aussie/kiwi peps got The Castle reference and the Commadore spaceship. "i want 10 thousand units"
"Tell 'er she's dreamin'" only person in my cinema who laughed at that
I completely agree, and im from straya
I was so ready for her to mention 'Jousting sticks' hehe..
Grace you are completely tone deaf if you think marvel fans wouldn't rage if Tom Huddleston is recast, he's still beloved
And karl urban was great, made the most of tge limited screen time and developed a character i thought would be a throw away
Loki is the best part about the Thor franchise. Like seriously. Wtf
Yesssss.
Completely agree
Recast Loki? I. N. Sane.
Nooo Tom is still great as Loki it’s my favorite Marvel caracter
Recast Huddleston? Wtf are you on? This weird hate you have for Hiddleston is so strange
She especially hates that he dated Taylor Swift, which she considers a cynical career move on his part
RIGHT?!
Recast Hiddleston? You're crazy Grace
SamuriLemonX18 She is silly sometimes.
okay i didnt see a hulk valkyrie romance they seemed more like bros
Yeah, I figured she wasn't romantically interested in anyone in this movie.....
MrOmegaBeams I don't know what the fuck she was on talking about a potential romance in the film.
MrOmegaBeams thor
mjolnir was not a safety check, mjolnir was a means of channeling his power. thus it was not a means of making him weaker, but a means of making him stronger.
Trying to remember the movie... Thor has powers but needs Mjolnir to fly by using it’s momentum.
“Being pulled by my hammer.” (Ha ha!)
I didn't get the impression that Hulk and Valkeryie were romantically linked at all, just friends. Men and women can be just friends.
Lethiun thank you when grace started talking about romance I was just like: ummmm wat?
Same. WTH? I didn't get romance at all. Would Hulk even care about romance? They just spar and seem to have a friendship based on their violent impulses. How did that translate into a romance?
I dunno where this assertion came from because I didn't get the impression Valkaryie and Hulk where romantically linked either
Are you expecting Infinity War to be a serious movie?
karen taylor she is an idiot
DAlex A That’s Because the last two Thor movies well for me at least have been very boring, changing it to a comedy actually kept me laughing and enjoying the plot in the theater
Smh, recast Hiddleston? He IS Loki. I'd like to see the writers give him a little bit more of an arc personally.
dude i'm pretty sure valkyrie is set up to be with thor, there's a scene that clearly hints at their sexual tension (when they jump into the ship together and had a dramatic pause), there was none between her and hulk just friendly camaraderie
I disagree with you saying that Loki needs to be recast, how disrespectful to Tom Hiddleston
😂
A SHAME Grace keeps attackin Tom Hiddleston every time she has. Personal issues shoudl be taken care somewhere else, this is unprofessional and it´s making her reviews unwatchable.
I can’t believe you’re not loving Loki! He’s one of my favorites. I can’t even fathom a recast.
Daniel Day-Lewis would have been amazing as a very different and much older Loki.... ;)
He's alright.
I hate that you really want them to be in love and pretty much just make youre self believe they are in love
Ziggy Conijn Same, it's getting annoying. She does that with Steve and Bucky/Captain America and Winter Solider, too.
I swear banner said “how’s nat?” The second he came out of hulk form. Was one of my fav parts of the movie?
That's not really enough considering the circumstances... ;)
Beyond The Trailer really no mention of Heimdall. Come on Grace
I really don't agree with what you said about Loki, I think that Tom still plays his so incredibly well and I definitly wouldn't want to see anyone else play him. Loki had some of the funniest moments in the movie.
4444Rusher4444 I've been falling for 30 minutes!
i didnt suspect the sister, his eye and asgard destroyed in the film
and matt damon
winsron shelley, this made me chuckle...
can't ho wrong with matt d
At this point I ALWAYS expect Matt Damon.
Side note: I've just figured out who the last Jedi is....;-D
I was shocked to see him too.
and Sam Neill as odin, and Chris's bro as thor
I'm not a fan of love affairs so I'm glad Hulk and Valkyrie had more of a comradery friendship.
Oh come on tom hiddleston Loki is what makes the thors movies and the first avengers and people love loki have you not seen comic con hall H people when nuts over tom hiddleston Loki
Recasting Tom Hiddlestone? Are you serious or are you on something?
Agree with the rest of your review though.
Good review but trying to recast Loki would be an absolute disaster. Completely disagree with that entire point.
They didn't change Thor's powers....he always had those powers in the comics....
Abigail George lightning enhanced punch powers? I have been reading Thor for years now and I thought all the weather stuff came from Mjolnir
i did research i found this, is that accurate?
And after 5 minutes of research, Marvel wiki says that Thor has those powers without his hammer. He has done it multiple times too in comics.
Korg NEEDS to come back. Spinoff, cameo,... standalone movie...? Doesn’t matter, he just needs to come back.
personally, i think you're totally wrong about tom hiddleston as loki. it's not his fault that they barely used him at all in this movie. it doesn't mean he's a bad actor, or that he's lost his touch or whatever. i would rather they just get rid of the character (as they have done with so many of the original thor cast) than recast him. no freakin way.
He killed 80 people in 2 days
mk6rfc1 that was GOLD
mk6rfc1 Don't be too hard on him "He's adopted."
Oh boy. 40 minutes. Need to close my office door. DND.
Tosh T
I had to go ahead and take my lunch break for this lol
Me too. Told secretary to tell my clients I am not in LOL!!!
Phillippe Pym
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
That's awesome you guys! :) Thanks for taking a break / having lunch with me!
Anyway, I hope someone sees this and realizes how complex DCEU really is
Omfg finally saw Ragnarok it was F*CKING INCREDIBLE
Grace, it showed Valkyrie’s reaction when she realized Banner was Hulk. She was like Oh yeah, of course.
I usually agree with your reviews however.... RECAST LOKI?! RECAST LOKI?! I disagree completely with your comments about Loki. Tom Hiddleston is an amazing actor and portrays Loki as a villain
brilliantly. Wtf.
Loki is your favorite Part of the movie ? Wtf lmao I think grace just gets you and every other person in your feelings when she makes a valid point.
just saw the movie and really loved it. just 15 minutes into this review and 50% of what you say is not only negative but also nitpicky. of course i came to hear your opinion but this is a bit much. just 1 example of somewhat pointless criticism, you complain the hulk doesn't ask about black widow after seeing the video in the jet, but it's literally the first thing he does. edit: as the review continues, i'm getting more and more frustrated with the criticisms being made because i feel they are, if not unfounded, totally off the mark. it's like you're criticizing the movie for not being what you want it to be, instead of criticizing what it is. you didn't make this film, get over it.
Absolutely right
AMEN!!
Exactly
Her job is to be critical -_-
spot on
The UK appreciates you Grace, Thank You for not making me wait!!!
Linden Grant Australia does too!
I’m just giving a thumbs down just because Grace mentioned recasting Tom.
Guinevere Dommeck I know that is bull crap tom hiddleston Loki is friggen awesome
Loki is the best thing about the Thor franchise. Idk what Grace was on
I wonder if she thought that just because this movie was more about Thor than about Loki.
I felt the Hulk and Valkyrie dynamic was more of a brother sister one
I dont think that the relationship between hulk and valkyrie was intended to be romantic, I think that they wanted it mainly to be a friendly relationship... an angry friendly relationship
I think Hiddleston can still bring something to the character. He was quite amazing in "The Night Manager". He's got acting chops, so perhaps he just needs better material in his next outing? Plus, I'm pretty sure Loki's got something up his sleeve so to speak which will make Infinity War interesting.
GeoD F I agree.
Stop calling Valkyrie Kayera , because she is not at all.
As for Hela not being the goddess of death, all she did was dish out death in a way the comic version never directly has.
Jorge and Meek, both characters from the Planet Hulk story. Just because one is tall and one is short do not make them Rocket and Groot.
Diandra Nobre at allllll
Loki is the best.Recasting Hiddlestond is amazing as Loki.Wtf you talk about Grace?
Alex Ny To each their mystical point of view
Replace Tom Hiddleson?!! No way!! Instead let's replace Grace with a reviewer that knows what the hell they are talking about.
Charles lowe hahahahaha 👏👏👏
Yes
I agree, f*** Grace
Loki is not always a bad guy, mischief is not always obviously a villain. This showed more of the aspect of Loki that is all about self preservation. When he is being helpful it's really because of his own reasons. So when he becomes a villain again, it is special.
yeah no Tom Hiddleston is the only God of Mischief thank you very much I think he was as awesome as he used to be back in phase one. as an actors, he just fails to get a good deal of movies but this man is so so talented and loves his craft and one of the kindest person in the industry SO IN THIS HOUSE WE DO NOT TOLERATE SLANDER ON THE ONLY LOKI LAUFEYSON THERE IS AND WILL EVER BE
Agree with most, but Korg was genius! Had me in stitches numerous times. Exactly what the film needed.
James Knight hell fuckin no that thing ruined the whole movie for me
+Sir HighRoller nope. Korg stole the shown
And I never thought about Groot & Rocket once
Kinda wished we had a moment with Valkyrie fighting the zombie soldiers and she saw and had to fight the fallen Valkyries
All their bodies were off world though, no?
I swear, if they touch Tom as Loki I'll rip the MCU apart to find him. I came to see Loki, not Thor. Also loved Korg and Miek just as much as rocket and groot although I didn't make the connection til you mentioned it.
Recast Loki. What!
I hear Keira Knightley is quite versatile....
Since it didn't feel like he had much to do in this film than be a tag along for Thor, I think it's time for Loki to be done in the films
dude Valkyrie is totally a love interest for Thor, she was like Hulk's personal trainer
I thought Valkyrie was suppose to be a love interest for Thor not Hulk. 😂😂 I never got a love thing with Hulk. I'm confused now. 😂
you never got it because it wasn't there
Lol, dating Hulk? Valkyrie and Hulk had more of a sibling-like relationship to me, or as my friend said, like a man (Valkyrie) and his dog (Hulk).
Recasting loki....this is where i shut this video.....
"For the sake of that joke, they lost the emotional beat."
You just described half of every Marvel movie.
PaperbackWizard no not at all
You do see Val have a reaction when she realises banner is hulk.
Loki just needs his own movie. The actor can only do so much with the material given. It's not Hiddleston's fault :/
i obviously loved this film and i know it was a comedy basically, but Loki has been so de powered he almost seems human now
DON´T YOU DARE TO RECAST LOKI, Marvel!....
Honestly, the part where Thor said to Odin "I'm not as strong as you" and Odin replies "No, you're stronger" that gave me CHILLS!!
With Hulk, Valkyrie, & Dr. Strange in this film, it’s the closest we’ll get to a Defenders movie
I would be PISSED if they recast Tom Hiddleston!! He is what makes Loki!
After watching the movie I don't understand how you saw Hulk and Valkyrie as a couple. Hoenstly she seemed more like a baby sitter
do you think Loki stole the Tesseract?
Corey Williams
I like to think he did, I’m hoping he did anyway.
Corey Williams spoiler
In Infinity war leak trailer loki is holding it 😆
ohhhh
Off course he did
Corey Williams yes of course
Can't believe this movie had credits at the end of it, not at all like the comics.
I don’t know what’s more of a mystery...
The amount of positive comments in this video or the release date of the infinity war trailer
Grace is obsessed with the Planet Hulk storyline. Its a Thor movie with few Hulk sprinkles. Not meant to be Planet Hulk. Unfortunately there will never be a planet Hulk. Hulk is owned by another studio.
No this is Thor Ragnarok spliced together with Planet Hulk. They mixed together like water and oil.
