I never had clear vision in my left eye from childhood, in 2022 I was diagnosed with karetoconus and CXL was done in 2022 only. Doctor gave me rgp lense through which I can see very much clear but the problem is I can't wear the rgp lense for more than 3,4 hours. Even after CXL,b through spectacle, I can't see anything through my left eye. If I go through ICL in my left eye, can I get the clear vision like the vision I get with the RGP lense?
Sir this video is very helpful, I want to ask a question that after ICL treatment will I be able to study about 14 to 15 hours a day as I do at present. As due to continuos study my eye no. have increased with a number in a year. But I will have to study until my selection so should I wait for treatment to be done after completing study or I should get the treatment done now. I hope u reply . Thank you.
Power increase has nothing to do with number of hours your study . Before planning ICL it is very important that atleast for 6 months power should be stable .... regs
In case of Advance stage of keratocomas if pt is alredy done a CXL operation then, is it posible to insert an ICL lens in vitro or Temporary lens is the final solution?? i mean what are the other options after CXL to restore the vision. Hopefully u will reply.. I m a Doctor from Bangladesh..
Yes it is possible provided the power of glasses has become stable .....other option are mainly specialised contact lenses like ROSE K or scleral contact lens

RLE is surgery that should be done only if all other options are exhausted. The risk in RLE surgery compare to other refractive procedures is that there is higher risk of retinal detachment. Also after the procedure the patient is dependent on glass for near activity as muscle function involved in focusing do not function .

Difficult to comment on your case without a proper examination … if the residual power is there then laser correction of that power can be done if the corneal condition is normal

Endothelial cell loss can happen but the number is limited so that corneal transparency is not affected ....it was more in the previous versions of Phakic implants which were placed in the front part of the eye

As you said ICL will be removed incase of cataract surgery then will the same lens be implant or should I pay for another new lens ?
And what if the power is more than -18 ?
In case cataract surgery is needed then IOL is implanted not ICL
Power more than 18 ... we do lasik / PRK for residual power ....

What about ICL in case of corneal scar or hazy cornea?
If the scar or haziness is in the centre ....vision will not improve even with ICL so will not recommend
