So, she threw a snap kick to his face without him ever laying a hand on her and because he kicked her back "HE'S" the scumbag?? Are you smoking crack? The hell is wrong with you? You just sat there when she assaulted him, but then were ready to condemn him for defending himself. Examine that... simp.
Ken Takakura would be a household name in Japan, so thats why they didnt bother explaining it really. He was a famous Japanese actor. In the West he is sometimes called the Japanese Clint Eastwood due to his stoic and manly presence. So the kid just happens to have the same name as a famous actor.
I just went to read the manga and in that they DID explain it. THey showed his face and made some comment about him making it much easier to understand. They probably should have kept that in the anime if they wanted it clear. Though they do mention him being an actor and such in later chapters, so I think people will understand even if no one explain after the first.
@@mray4784not to be rude but thats kinda ignorant to say when we have dub versions and people around the world being fans of anime. Wtf you mean anime is made for japanese people. Other guy already said that in the manga they showed and kinda explained who Ken Takakura is and it wouldve been better if they included it in the show. Edit: If anime is only made for japanese people then why bother releasing it worldwide? Why bother having crunchyroll, muse asia youtube channel that is subbed? lmao
@@lzniRThat's what in the manga which is completely different medium from the anim. You just being lazy to not search for reference about it, because the main market of Japanese anime is for Japanese people.
It’s funny how the voice actors for the two plushies in the middle of the coach voice characters in the show. Ken’s voices by Tanjiro, and the Turbo Granny is voiced by Luffy
Ken Takakura will star in the American film "Black Rain" directed by Ridley Scott. Set in Osaka, Japan, he plays a detective chasing a criminal alongside Michael Douglas.
I love when shows can mix bat shit crazy and heartfelt. The whole banana thing feels like it ties to the whole aliens try to look and sound as neutral or naturally human as possible, only to end up in the uncanny valley, and/or picking up language as they go. So either they picked up someone who referred to their reproductive organs as banana, or are trying to be accommodating with their word choices, but fail by the very nature of how invasive they're being in action.
I think that was the joke with the aliens, that despite their confidence, they have complete lack of understanding with human biology (or consent, or just plain respect). They think everyone has bananas, including the women.
For the record... just because a girl is nice to you, don't follow her and push magazines into her face, and have some self awareness if she's clearly uncomfortable. He was a spaz, but she knew he was harmless, just annoying.
Thoughts on this first episode?!?
animation, sound, & character design on point

imagine naming your kids Danaerys Targaryen or Keanu Reeves. that is the situation the 2nd MC is in lol.
Ken Takakura is real actor from the 70s or 80s
so it's like highschool girl idolized Clint Eastwood, and her highschool friend has the same name

Haha I noticed that was Tanjiro while editing this! 😂 - John

This is going to be a wild ride I'm glad I no longer have to use my imagination to picture the crazy scenes I see in the manga.
