Honestly, I think as nice as it is to see someone struggle within their rules, if the series is too restricted it becomes basically waiting for bots or the sacky one in a thousand hand. I think the masochist challenge is good enough as a baseline but giving yourself access to more cards produces more games that aren't either "I win because bot" or "my opponent activated any card printed after 2016 so I scoop." Something I did for myself when I did masochist was to give myself a big reward for reaching a new rank tier for the first time to have something to work for.
How about one where you directly ask Konami why they are digitally shortprinting cards on Master Duel. You’re so up in their guts then tell us why they are such scammy criminals.
Don't have a suggestion on how to do it, but maybe try to incorporate the structure decks in the shop somehow? They are mostly bad so they could be interesting in gold, plat and maybe even diamond by some stretch of the imagination

Its funny, over several channels doing these kinds of challenges, Silver is like this impenetrable wall of mediocre players with very strong decks combined with strong players messing with mediocre decks. The monthly de-ranking and raised floor for "unviable" decks has shoved so many unintentional smurfs down the ladder. Its all just a hodgepodge of skill levels independent of actual ranking.
when u upgrade from a tier to another, u could spin a wheel with all the “steal a monster ur opponents control” ( change of heart, enemy control, switcheroo, ecc ) so that u still improve ur deck way more without necessary winning against strong decks
Maybe this was discussed in the previous video, but when you pull, say, an Ultra on the wheel, why not have it where it can count for a card below that rarity as well? I'd imagine it's so getting an Ultra isn't just the end all be all goal to get on the wheel maybe?
Loving the series so far! I think a cool idea would be to craft 3 enemy controller or snatch steal and always run them in your deck. Then, if you take control of one of your opponents monsters AND proceed to win the duel, you can steal that card and craft it for your deck. Maybe you get lucky and steal a good generic extra deck card. Could be a cool idea, but might need some sort of restriction. But then again you won't be drawing econ/snatch steal every game so maybe its fair
I honestly quite like the packs. It's entertaining and helps stabilize a little for the lower ranks, at least. Plus, you will hardly ever get packs at higher ranks.
I think the problem I have with this series is if he constantly keep getting UR he won't have any material to even craft then as at that point u need to dismantle them as ur getting mats mostly from duel pass as I can think of but the series is interesting atleast

suggestion: it would be cool to have what i would want to call an Econ clause. Wherein, when you use Econ and steal a monster from your opponent and win with it you can directly steal that monster and add it to your deck but if you lose with it whatever is tributed to use for econ is lost forever.
I sometimes like to play Dark World in the lower tier with 10 or 12 monsters in the extra deck. I can’t prove it, but I feel like it makes my opponent underestimate me and play poorly.

what about if you just did like, win a duel take any card you want, but you have to get one of each rarity before getting a second of any rarity, so you have to take one normal, rare, sr, ur, before getting another sr or ur to steal so you can kinda judge based on the card pool of a certain deck, if you want to go for a big bang card and be forced to take some lower rarity on the next few, or try and wait it out for a potential banger
You should be allowed to purchase (or unlock from solo mode) structure decks if possible to steal your opponent's card, just to conserve crafting points
I think if you roll higher rarity you should be able to choose from all cards of that rarity and lower. Maybe just lower the chance to roll the higher rarities.

I think the pack opening is fine but make it so that you open the pack which the stolen card belongs to. If the card doesn't have any packs you open a master pack. In total you are getting 1 stolen card and 1 pack which the stolen card belongs to per win...
Honestly for stealing only it would make sense to dismantle all the cards you get from packs and only use the cards you stole from people that you crafted with said dust.

The problem with not being able to pull packs is that eventually you will not have any crafting material. Also, the rise in difficulty is much higher than the rise in power level of your deck anyway. What ends up happening in the end is 90% of games you win are wins because your opponent missplaid. It's just login into yugioh and praying for a bot or a throw, not really about clever deck building to make up for your lack of cards and options. Let's be real, the worst coherent archetypal deck or a structure deck even with an absolutely wasted pilot is always going to win against 2k vanilla beater pass. Love the series but I don't want you to limit yourself further, I suppose. But maybe that's the point? Idek. I really liked ep1 because the power levels were more or less there. What are you going to do in episode 3 when you end up playing against actual decks.

I was the first player in this vid with "attack 3x". I had actually just gotten out of 3 back to back snake eyes opponents in this "fun" game mode and then I played against farfa. I actually have uninstalled the game and did so immediately after the match. I realized it's just not the same game I used to play as a kid anymore and it's never coming back again.

Instead of rng wheel, still random in the sense of your opponents' decks limit the choices, but at least you have a little more strategy this way^
