@@Teaching2and3YearOlds💯❤️
I love your videos about snow and ice and winter circle time ideas. Thank you for sharing all your wonderfull ideas. Great ideas as usual 🙏
You are so welcome!
maine got a snow storm this past sunday but today/last night (tues-weds) we ended up with another rain storm and washed good portion of the snow away. love watching your videos
We are hoping for snow this weekend or next week! But every winter the forecast teases us and then nothing happens. However, we usually get one snowfall a year. We shall see!
@@Teaching2and3YearOlds well i hope you do get something so the kids can have fun
Me too!
@@Teaching2and3YearOldswhen my oldest granddaughter was in K going to my local school, she stayed with her aunt, my oldest daughter, the K teacher there did a lot of outdoor winter activities, even when it was really cold outside, she made a list of stuff to have for them to go outside, lol lets say she got one of her christmas gift early. i think being outside in winter is great, the smell of fresh air and snow. i hope you do get snow and they get to experience many activities outside
How do you keep the writing center with markers and crayons from them writing everywhere? If I keep yours out and didn’t sit with them they would write everywhere!! I have 2’s. One class will all be 3 end of January and the other end of April
I just kept redirecting them back to the writing table. They definitely started the year taking the markers to other places so I just kept showing them how to take them back to the writing area. “The markers stay at the writing table.” I still have marks on some wall hangings from our first weeks of school. It happens!
I really love your videos and it's so much learning for me.
I really want to try your activities in my 3 years old class. On the other hand, I am afraid of setting up sensory table with small pieces, and sequins for art because some still put things in their nose and mouth.
Could you share how you are preventing those incidents please?
If your students are putting pieces in their mouths, then you will want to stick with larger pieces.
I haven't found a good way to teach my 1s, 2s, and 3s how to use the watercolor paints without them JAMMING the paintbrush into the watercolor palette and digging around in it. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!!!
Mine did that at the start of the year - more so this year than any previous year. I just kept showing them how to gently dip the brush into the paint and then brush on paper. I'm not saying they will never do it again, but it's been much better since I've shown them a few times.
What watercolor palettes do you use? Ours have been crappy
We usually use Crayola, but everyone said Prang is best, so that's what we got this year. Prang definitely has richer colors, but it also stains our countertops and the white art trays (we've tried everything to get the color out and nothing works).
Ms. Sheryle, hello! I am wondering why you chose to make your kitchen center a pizzeria? What's the connection to winter?
I don’t do everything related to our theme. This week our dramatic play area will be a breakfast diner and it’s during our hibernation theme. 🙂 But I did add stuffed bears.
@@Teaching2and3YearOlds Thank you for answering me, I asked because as I was planning for the week I added pizza boxes in my kitchen area, then I took them out, thinking it didn't make sense, HA! I'll be putting them back, and adding your ideas too! Thank you for all that you do and for making me a better educator of young children, you are the best!
My students had so much fun with the pizzeria - I hope yours do, too. Have a great week!
I love your Facebook page
And all the activities, circle time, organization, set up
If i may ask Where are you located?
Thank you! We are in the Pacific Northwest.
@@Teaching2and3YearOlds i am in British Columbia
@@marsmanny - It’s beautiful up there!
How do you keep the kids from using to much water with the water color paints
With our 2 year olds, I don't provide cups of water with the paints because they will take that water and dump it. (I've tried many times!) So I take an eye dropper and put a couple of drops of water in each well of the paint to moisten it. With 3 year olds, I eventually introduce the cup of water when I feel they are ready (and I've taken time to show them how to dip their brush into the water and then the paint). We did put a cup of water at our easel last week (my assistant forgot that it might be dumped), but they actually left it alone! But that's not the norm with my 2 year olds. They love to dump water (and everything else!).
Could you give me the inf of the sensory table ❤
It's cotton balls, rice, scoops, snowflakes, and white aquarium rock.
