They shouldn't be parking illegally in the first place. There are designated parking spots for delivery drivers. If you're respectful and honest about the situation they usually give you a break. They already have enough on their plate trying to provide for themselves or their families.

I get in front of him and say again, "I'm right here." I'm smiling and everything. This guy prints the ticket right in front of me and says, "you don't have to pay for it anyways" and "C***** P*** gets a discount" 😠😠😠

Hell my mom is in a wheelchair and I was in a handipcap spot waiting for her to come into the vehicle and one sped up on me with a ticket written before even seeing my handicap tag. I can understand if the trucks are parked in a location that is unsafe ie too close to tracks. My husband drives a float truck in Toronto dropping off heavy equipment. He cannot drive a large truck and trailer around the block 50 times to try to find a place to park. Even the smaller delivery cube vans ... these people are driving through the core of Toronto day in day out dropping off supplies etc so you don't have to go get them. They need to be given a little grace when they are momentarily parked making your life more convenient. ... just my thoughts :)

I am a cyclist too, but we have to realize we are not the majority (not even a close to 10% of the population here), so it is not reasonable for cyclists to expect the public to cater to us. We have to respect others

The car traffic now a couple hundred yards from the main streets to the side streets. Many kids are on the side streets. Cars can do much more damage than bikes. Side streets are now filled with cars. The main streets with the bike lanes still have many bikes on the sidewalks and weaving through the congested traffic instead of in their bike lanes. Bikes would sooner see kids on side streets put at risk to have their bike lanes on main roads. Cars pay sales tax every time the car gets sold, along with forced registration, licencing, and insurance. They also pay much more taxes on the upkeep of the car plus gas tax. Car operators require training, bikes do not. The taxs were on things for cars were put there to offset the road construction and upkeep, bikes do nt contribute to this. Anthing operating on the roads should have to be registered, licenced and insured. Or nothing should be and let the everybodies income tax go up to pay for the roads
