Nicky butt coach wise talks a lot of sense, hope he gets his shot at a decent club, seems to understand the importance of timing and getting the right coaching team setup in from the start, some English managers are so grateful they are given a big club to manage that they jump in too soon like potter that Chelsea Job was too big for him. Better to build experience and lore among the game, for me though a key factor in a top manager is charisma it bails them out when the chips are down and allows them to get a group of players hungry for success
@RyanPourhana he won the league and champions league. RUBBISH HOWE?! He beat Ten Hag once in the final and lost once. HOWE??! 🤦🏻🤦🏻. A clueless newbie like you should watch netball instead of football or you can try tennis. Welcome to the Talksport channel btw you 🔔🔚!
English managers aren't given the SAME chances that equally qualified foreign managers get. Here's my proof. OGS got the Man Utd job after relegating Cardiff. Arteta got the Arsenal job with ZERO managerial experience. Paul Clement won EVERYTHING as Assistant to Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, Bayern and PSG. He wasn't given a big club as his first job. Poch got the Spurs job after finishing mid table with Southampton. Same with Nuno at Wolves before he was hired. Howe (with Bournemouth) and Dyche finished mid table and won nothing. They weren't considered for Spurs job. Slot and Ten Hag got the Liverpool / Man Utd jobs after only winning the Dutch League (the SAME trophy Steve McLaren won). Moyes and Rodgers were given the Man Utd and Liverpool jobs without any trophies. Plenty of English managers have been at least equally qualified as the above, but they AREN'T given chances at big clubs. The only one who has, was Potter and he was only given 5 months. Arteta took Arsenal BACKWARDS from 5th under Emery to 8th, yet he was given time but Potter wasn't.
😂😂😂😂 Biggest bunch of BS! Foreign Managers don't get English managers privileges of getting protected by the English media every time.. English managers are utter shyte 😂
So what is your theory? Someone actively is trying to not get english managers a big job? As for Howe and Dyche.....while Howe did a great job with Newcastle, Nuno had done it for longer. Got a team up from championship and punched way above its weight with two 7th places. It's not the same level of achievement at what Howe had done. Dyche.....we all know he is a defensive manager.....so it's a different argument for him. No top team wants to hire him. Steve McLaren won that league how many years ago? Paul Clement was an assist to Carlos perhaps, but Carlo isn't known for his style of play like Guardiola did.
A few points here to contest. Potter was not the only one, as Lampard was given a chance at Chelsea with missing out on promotion in the Championship being his only experience prior. Arteta also won an FA Cup in his first season. How many English managers have won a domestic cup, never mind an FA Cup? Hodgson took over at Liverpool when he had not won anything significant.
STOP SAYING "FOOTBALL CLUB" FOR GODS SAKE. WE KNOW YOURE NOT TALKING ABOUT A BLOODY CHESS CLUB OR A KARATE CLUB
hahaha, was away to write something to that effect.
It’s this cringe thing a lot of ex man united players do.
Gérard, Lampard, Potter all fell flat. We need a thorough examination not jealousy and xenophobia
All Hail Simon = Top LAD Proper Clobber 💯 Facts
Perennial bootlicking cringe from lfcspectre4335. Expected.

Good chat. Nicky and Simon are good together
It costs English managers 5k to get their first licence, it costs Spanish and Portuguese about 400 euros.
That's not an excuse they suck
@@sullaybjrmore English managers would be managing hence more chance of success mate if it was cheaper to do so.
You think ex professionals are struggling to pay 5k?
@alexbelotti1603 They need to go abroad and learn coaching. They suck in England

Lacks the charisma. His body language is that of a NPC.
Maybe if an English manager followed Amorim at Sporting we might see how they did.
Most English managers can’t speak other languages.
Should try and go abroad. Both Hodgson and Potter went to Sweden. Liam Rosenior is doing a decent job at Strasbourg. Sadly can't think of anyone else.
Anyone catch what type of club they were talking about?
Ugh, doesn't guarantee Ruben will be any good here 😭
And yet SJ was baffled by the rumour that Roma pursuing Lampard?!! At least they try to give English managers a chance

There's only Eddie Howe and he's far from perfect

Eddie Howe is the best and he hasn't even won a cup trophy. Coaches in England are so badly below par.
