Thank you! I hope so too!🙏
This is very real. My niece was very resistant to having her teeth brushed. She would scream and cry just to take a bath. Fortunately, I didn't have these issues with my son. Most of his sensitivity was to food texture, sound, and light.
Thanks for sharing. How is your niece and son doing now?
@AutisticEdge Both my son and my niece are doing tremendously great. I once overheard a mother having a conversation with someone in the gas station " children need time, and we have to be patient with them." My son is a living testimony to that. Five years ago I was taking him to speech, occupational, feeding, and play therapies about twice weekly for each. He showed steady improvements in all areas except feeding therapy at the time. He went from just eating mainly 5 or 6 things, and he was very particular about texture and presentation, to now being willing to try anything with encouragement at least once. Sound and light sensitivity has decreased markedly. Last year he complained about the Christmas lights being too bright at the mall, to this year being able to attend a neon glow dance party at school just this past Friday.
Great news! Love it to hear that they are improving. These children needs love, patience and care!
