Just like Vehicle video, all the clips here are hand-drawn sequences. Mechanical Animation is one of the most complicated for animators and demonstrates a great capacity, since it requires maintaining complex designs, giving them a sensation of weight, volume and dynamism, which is achieved by highly trained, talented animators or with great Animation Direction. For my "long playing" MADs focused on particular themes I like to use different tracks or songs than usual, in this case it's somewhat similar to my Vehicle video where I wanted to use Yellowline to represent all the intensity. Aoki Uru is a track that was made to represent the speed and ecstasy of the VTOL aicraft from the PS1 game and movie never produced by Gainax, which is why it was chosen from the beginning for this video. I'm a big fan of Aoki Uru's production materials from 1993, especially for the character design and the mechanical design of the aircraft.
The work of the Ghibli/Telecom animators perfectly captures the illusion of life proposed by the 9 Old Men and Disney's Principles of Animation, even the vehicles present that movement so attractive both to the general viewer and to animation enthusiasts

Nice compilation, you rarely see this level of quality in modern animes, and the music fits well, it has a late 90s/early 2000s vibe that makes me feel nostalgic, you don't hear it anymore, back then it was everywhere, TV shows, movies, videogames, ads... And now it's all hip-hop and rap, and it's fine, but sometimes I wish there was a little more of variety.
I have the thought that good animation never gets old. These sequences are the reflection of excellent animators making incredible scenes of mechanical animation
