Southwest Michigan guy here I have a tier, 1 axis elite and my Glock 19 has a Olight Baldr mini and I was disappointed with the friction fit, so I melted it myself, and created a click on the hinge of the Olight, and I also took material off the length of the holster and now I’m happy with it, but I had to basically modify it to get it right but it clicks in place now with the Olight
Oh that is a good idea! Never thought about melting the holster in certain areas. I've modified a lot of my holsters with a Dremel. I've changed the "angle' on the original t rex arms sidecar with a hair dryer. Did you use a heat gun to melt the Kydex? Not sure if that would work with a TLR 7 but its worth looking into
Yes, I used a heat gun but I covered up the other areas with a cold wet towel that I didn’t want to be heated up then I put on some gloves to protect my hands and pushed down and held for a few minutes
@@jamesgaller1046 Nice, I will have to try that with my axis slim holster. The slide retention doesn't bother me but I would much rather have solid retention over friction.
Waiting on my xiphos elite. Buddy has the xiphos v2 and loves it. To be fair, you complained about the weapon light snd how you don’t like it. Thats not a con of the holster you chose to get the holster with said weapon light. Metro detroit Michigan guy here. I have a axis elite for my glock 19 and the xiphos will be for my staccato P.

Thank you for the video. For my Glock 43x mos with a TLR-7 sub I use the Tenicor Sagax Lux 2 very happy with it I’m also a bigger guy meaning I’m about 25lbs heavier than I’m supposed to be and really tired of it so I joined the gym because I just can’t stand it anymore. Anyway I’ll stop my crying and moving forward definitely happy with Tenicor, I had a different holster from a reputable company and the exact weapon got stuck during me trying to use it good thing I had my Shockwave in my truck grabbed it thank God I didn’t have to use it because the 3 Slim Jimmy’s took off running back into their vehicle and took off.
Haha you and me both. So hard getting rid of that last annoying 25 lbs lol I’ll have to try those tenicor holsters. I’ve heard good things. I also hear ppl raving about the LAS concealment holsters. Hoping to get one of those on the channel.
I watched your video till the end, thank you for taking the time to film-edit-produce it. Now, to better understand this and to make it clear to those that are going to watch this video : ....."too many cons..." but you only mentioned 2 cons : the size of it,due to the fact that it's a bearing light holster(why is that a fault of the holster do?) and...the fact that the belt clips are "hard to put on and taken of".... 1 . Is this your holster or someone give it to you for a review? If it's yours ,a couple of things : - you put the order accordingly to what you wanted to carry, yes? so, you choose to have a light bearing holster - then why complain about the extra space that is needed!!! (same as on any other light bearing holster) to accommodate that light? are there any holsters that accommodate lights (same light) that are smaller? -that is something you need to show to compare...not just talk about -you choose the belt clips (the standard ones) , why is it a problem that the holster stays put right where is supposed to be,due to the clips being tight ? what situation where you in ,or are you going to be, as to need to take it off in a hurry?....If they where easy to put on and taken off, isn't that a bigger problem for when you need to draw, for when due to stress you are not having the draw that you have on a flat-range? Aside your personal feelings about that,is there anything of real practical value for others in that,to hear that you don't like it? They have as an option,on their page, the "tuck-able"-Discreet carry concepts ones and the "ulti clip " ones that just clamp on your belt/pants 2. You are a "bigger dude" ...what does that mean? you are tall? you are muscular? you have a big belly?....how to understand that? Then, you are saying you are carrying full size or compacts ( at 08:40 )....so you can carry that type of gun size, but you are bothered by a holster size made to accommodate a light (ordered by you in that way?)- how logical is that do?.... 3. "Not very concealable either" ...really?...You put a photo of the gun at 8:23 and you say it's not very concealable, pls do the same photo of the same gun with other holsters to let us compare. Your not even talking about the different sizes of Wedge foam pack that they have and help with comfort and concealable part of the upper part . For me,for what i can see,you have taken off some of the ledges from the claw and that is why your handguns grip is showing more. Conclusion : You are not recommending this holster because you ordered as a light-bearing holster and that this holster is to wide as to accommodate a light even if for a light bearing holster you are usually using one with a sidecar???? Did I get this right? So basically, you are complaining that your choice is not what you should have chosen but you chose it 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂ Further more, you are not recommending it because you need a couple of seconds more to arrange the belt-clips....OK , got it. To finish, take this comment as my comment to help you with the UA-cam algorithm and a to point out the contradictions between subjective and objective views , that don't actually help one make a choice, objectively . ( I have the same holster for my CZ P10C OR with an Inforce APLC . On it it has the Discreet Carry concepts belt-clips - almost invisible when i tuck in a shirt, and an Wide 2,25" extra large wedge )
Man thats crazy. I have Gen3 G19 with the old Olight Valkyrie Pl2. I'm short, especially compared to you lol(5'6"). Works for me with a hoodie no problem.
Yes I just saw that after posting this video and your right it def looks more usable. I might actually get one bc I like the non mag caddy idea but also with real wide clips.
I’m new at this, and now I’m confused about this “Holsters meant for lights” vs “Holsters not meant for lights”…I thought that when a certain holster CAN accommodate a light it was just the regular holster for that gun, but that it can also handle a light too if you wanna carry the gun with a light. I LOVE the click!! And I have no plans to ever carry a light. Ugh I ordered a couple holsters this week, I hope I didn’t accidentally get light bearing versions.
Light bearing holsters are usually wider at the bottom making them slightly more uncomfortable to carry. If you plan on never carrying a light like myself then I would get the non light bearing version. I have a few home defense guns with light bearing holsters. But my carry guns all have non light bearing holsters. I really don’t go out at night with young kids at home.
So I just got this same holster with the TLR-7A, it's a nice holster. I usually carry at 4 o'clock. I'm a little bit of a bigger guy so appendix is a no go for me. Not to mention the wait time for the holster is crazy. Do you have any recommendations of different holster companies?
Clips look like they're tuckable right? I'm after a IWB for my HK P-2000 SK. Gotta be left hand draw and crossdraw capable(wrecked shoulders) No light on my CC pistol. What's your recommendation?
Yes the are tuckable. However The the clips are quite large and may stick out on your belt. I prefer thin single clip designs if I was going for tuckable. There are better holsters on the market for that. Desantis soft holsters are a good option but I am not a tuckable holster kinda guy
I'm wondering, is it possible to cant this holster by off setting the clips? I never bought a holster in my life yet. Just paid for my first firearm, a P365X, and waiting for my background check appointment. Very new to all of this.
Welcome to the gun community! This is an appendix holster so it’s made to be worn in front of your body so we really don’t cant our holsters. If you’re wearing the holster on your hip 3, 4 or 5 oclock then you want single clip holsters to where cant can be adjusted. There are companies out there that create holsters to be canted. For example, Tulster holsters is a company that builds cant right into the design of the holster. So your first question to ask yourself is where you want to carry the gun.
I like the setup, even if you are a derned yankee. Bwahaha (western mountains of VA here). Interesting note on the holster - both of my T1 Axis Elites have that same claw affair, so they must be using them across the board. I like T1 holsters, just wish they were a little less expensive. That one doesn't trip my trigger, though, based on your review. I haven't tried any with lights on - I'm not really big on WML's carried IWB. That's just a personal preference, I'm a big guy as well, and most lights just would add too much for inside waistband. But thanks for the review! God bless you and yours!
Haha your civil war reference was top notch! Love it. Yes I am gravitating towards no weapon mounted lights as well. When I first got into concealed carry I thought it was a necessity but now my thoughts have changed. Interesting! I was thinking about getting this holster but now im having second thoughts. I just watched your axis video, which i also have and love, so your dislike makes me wonder. Thanks for the video
Not with light bearing holsters. Most companies do compression tension instead of click retention for light bearing holsters. Non light bearing you hear the click because it snaps on around the trigger guard.
