have you listened to jons older stuff? like the 'scattered thoughts' mixtape and 'claps and autotunes for lovers' ?? if not you should definitely do a reaction video to that stuff! jon graduated high school with my sister, so i've been following and supporting him for a long time. i'm so glad he's getting the recognition he deserves. it's nice to see people appreciate his music the way i always have!
He said his intention was to make a “mini mix tape” within a track, so keeping that in mind while listening really adds to it. Shows off the creativity and provides a reason for all the switches
Wow this guy knows his music.. the way he appreciates this different style. I’ve seen so many reactions/reviews where people trashed the album because they didn’t like the difference. You just have to appreciate different sounds. Jon is incredible at finding ways to hit you with sounds you don’t expect.
A few things... Just wanted to start by saying I have been a fan of Jon Bellion for about 3 years now. Came into the game a little late, but better late than never. I don't think I have seen someone put so much into their music before. The first time I heard Human Condition, I was blown away. I still am. But this new album just sort of feels different. This is a personal feeling for me and something I think we all agree with, but the goosebumps during every single song, along with the message and fucking vibes it puts off....??? Just insanity and the reason why we love him. This reaction was just spot on. I am so happy I found this channel because this enhanced the album even more for me. You helped me hear so many sounds that my ears didn't pick up. Those background quiet claps were just ughh. I wish I had the ear you have for music. I have listened to this album about 4-5 times so far and I learned more from this video than just listening by myself. Thank you so much! Definitely have a new subscriber.
@@DougAraujo 5 hours of work that turned into one hell of a reaction! I see this video getting pretty big. Keep up the grind! Am excited to watch all of your other vids and am excited to see everything you put out in the future. Thanks for helping me to hear things I would not have heard by myself. I already owe you too much!
I've never seen anyone appreciate Jon's music like this on UA-cam 😩 thank you for making this video. When you said you were a Jon Bellion fan I knew your reaction video to one of his albums would be very similar to mine 😂
could the end to mah's joint be symbolic of how he imagines the trumpets of heaven? specifically what's played as one enters to heaven, could explain why it's indescribable maybe that's what he intended
If I'm not mistaken, that's exactly what his vision is. The celebreation of his grandmother going up to Heaven with God. It's the underlying theme of the album art sort of
His lyrical spiritual sprinkling throughout each track was nothing short of anointed. Seriously. Tapping into that kind of talent can’t be explained otherwise
thank god someone picked apart the production on this LP. the greatest i’ve ever heard sonically. both the organic instruments and the synths blew my mind. great review
Thank you! And yeah Acid Rap’s been in my top 3 mixtapes since i first heard it. So many other good ones too like So Far Gone, What a Time to be Alive, Friday Night Lights, hell even The Seperation by Jon Bellion
Thanks man, i’m thinking about branching out and reacting to other genres too. Lots of really dope bands i want to put y’all onto. If you enjoy Jon’s music, check out a band called “Ripe”. Their song “Goon Squad” is awesome. They’ll most likely be the next subject of a puttin yall on video
Dude, I appreciate your detailed analysis and love for Jon Bellion on this one! Also you are right, Human Condition is definitely a life changing album! Just like you I got inspired to get into producing because of Jon Bellion. I got into Jon Bellion back in 2016 exactly when Human Condition dropped and around that time my first gf ever, my first love, broke up with me. Just like Jon, I was thinking that I was destined to be with this girl and unfortunately it didn’t work out at that time. The lyrics of Human Condition and The Definition were so relatable and those albums literally became my therapy in those hard emotional times... In these two years I have grown, I know lot more than I was used to due to my heartbreak, but you know what is incredible? Me and my ex got back together just after the release of GSP... It is truly incredible and I’m so grateful to God that we are back together. Hopefully we are really meant to be together. The power of Jon Bellion ❤️
Jon is truly a master of his craft and his passion is so inspiring to anyone that loves music. I can’t wait for him to score films and evolve even more than the incredible artist he is today. This man is a modern day legend! His music speaks volumes, just listen and get lost...
If he ever went off the radar for good, it'd be a sad day for music, the man's a genius. I understand his desire to be done with fame, but man alive, he's a gift.
Hearing you gush about Jon and really break down his production made me smile so hard, I had to subscribe. He is hands down my favorite artist, no contest. GSP is straight-up artwork. You can't pick just one track to love, each one is unique and beautiful. I loved the old album references you made! His genius is DEFINITELY intimidating!!
This is my favorite reaction of this album!!! Jon has literally changed the fricking GAME production/writing/melodically, we’ve just witnessed history.
Great review! You really know how to put your thoughts and feelings into words. The way I heard about the song Beyonce didn't get is... Jon, sent out a song to multiple artists, Christina and Demi wanted it first and so he gave it to them, then later Beyonce requested the song for an artist she signed but Jon unfortunately already gave it away. Just a bummer situation.

There’s definitely a theme lyrically about the dangers of fame on lots of the tracks on here. The need for family, time away, and lack of a major spotlight always shining on you too
Doug Araujo i meant an overall theme like the human condition, the theme being “the emotions we all feel as humans” but yes i agree, those themes are all definitely out there

You should listen to the album Currents by Tame Impala. Beautiful psychedelic rock album. If you're into that. The synths that hold in the album is very astonishing. As a first time listener, I wasn’t too impressed with the album. It got tedious at points, and some songs dragged on, and this was worsened by the repetition and lack of verses on many tracks. Id give it a 7.7/10.

No one made the argument that it’s done well just because he does everything himself, and that’s most likely due to the fact the he DOESN’T do everything himself. Ppl call him a genius because they feel he HAS backed it up. It’s cool that you feel the album’s bland bruh, but not everyone thinks like you, and the majority of the ppl that i’ve seen in the comments really enjoyed it
I think you should check Eden if you like jon bellion, they are very diffirent but somewhat not
FlexiFuel I love eden
Sounded like Disney movie music to me... AJR is better but I'll pluck a few songs off this
Who in the world is AJR?
@@DougAraujo I've heard a good amount of mashups and read enough comments to know that they soind EXTREMELY similar. But people are saying that AJR is just a Jon ripoff. I don't care really. I haven't heard an AJR album because I prefer Jon.
They're not but sure thing buddy
AJR - The Click
As a first time listener, I wasn’t too impressed with the album. It got tedious at points, and some songs dragged on, and this was worsened by the repetition and lack of verses on many tracks. Id give it a 7.7/10.
Seems fair
