Thanks for the honest review. I have the pattern and have a similar shape to yours so I know I would be in for a lot of adjustments. The jean shirtdress version on the model is what attracted me. It sounds as though it was designed to be form fitting but that would be a disaster as a shirtdress .. gaping, pulling, etc.
I made this pattern as well and really enjoyed it. I added the yoke and used the burrito method like you did. I didn’t have the fit issues that you did; I did have to grade a couple of sizes out and move the bust point. Your dress is lovely! I love the fabric and the color is so beautiful on you. You have a great eye for the marriage of fabric and pattern. You mentioned that you have other shirt dress patterns that you like better. Could you please share those pattern numbers? Thank you.
I’ve made this pattern. I used view C, but made it sleeveless and shortened it. I had to let it out some- made it before I figured out how to make sloped shoulder and rounded back adjustments. I may make it again and do the denim version. Love your version. The fabric is so fun!
