He said 16% inflation was bad but took inflation as high as over 50% but had to massage the figure in this year to 28% because of election.
That 54.4% inflation is even fake, outsiders said we had over 100% which makes a lot more sense since prices doubled in 2022.

If Ghanaians without government intervention stopped importing unnecessary frozen chicken, fish, tomatoes, and other household goods, the exchange rate will fall to even Ghc 5 to $1. This tells me the NDC is clueless because there’s nothing and I mean absolutely nothing the government can do to control it. Have you seen the currency fall for many African countries especially Nigeria?
Ghanaians have to pivot to industrialization and begin producing things locally. Importation should be significantly reduced. That’s why 1D1F is such an excellent policy that should be taken even more seriously.
