Elle, thanks for telling your story. It's truly unbelievable how the watchtower leadership has seriously ruined so many lives. Extremely heartbreaking 💔. I hope that you are healing and recovering 🙏.

You're such a beautiful soul and it is excruciating hearing about the horrendous challenges you had to overcome. I know it's made you into the strong and loving person you are, but man, it's hard knowing how you must have felt through all those years. From one Empath to another, you are loved!

Hi Elle. I hope this comment finds you well☺️ The first video I watched was part 4, since then I’ve watched parts 1 & 2 and now a couple of minutes into this video. I thought I’d pause the video because I felt prompted to respond now. What strikes me is your ability to stay positive and keep smiling despite going through so much, so all credit to you…that’s a massive achievement on a personal level. Telling the story about your mum is just so tragic and sad…my love to you. So far, your journey has been closely linked with the JW’s, and not for the better on several levels!
Although I wasn’t raised a JW, I got involved with them for over 5 years, attending all the meetings, going door to door on the ministry etc. I eventually left the organisation due to concerns over doctrine (I was never baptised). I watched many video related to ex JW stuff and one of the things that is quite common, is that many ex JW’s leave behind any faith (or at least a mental construct!) they once had in God. Whether the ex JW realises or not, this is the ultimate damage that organisation leaves as a legacy on their former associate!
It’s never easy leaving behind a life built around all things JW. From personal experience I found the only real way forward was to go back to bible basics and through prayer and fresh eyes, take the time to read the bible to better understand what it really says about asking for forgiveness and the promise of salvation to “all those who believe”. The free gift of forgiveness and eternal life is not something you have to work for, or something whereby you need to somehow need to work towards, it’s a single moment in time where you can lay your burdens before God and be accepted on the basis of believing exactly what the bible promises!
Can I urge you to take some time out Elle and prayerfully read the book of Romans? Please read any other version of the bible than the JW NWT when you do so.❤️🙏

Thank you so very much for your thoughtful and kind comment. My dear Aunt bought me a beautiful Bible. I am not ruling it all out. I am intrigued by it all. Right now I don’t have the capacity to commit to figuring it all out ☺️ But, I do pray (a lot) and I have no doubt I’ll find my way. I enjoy staying open to new possibilities and insight. Thank you so very much ❤️💕

@@ElleRenoCoaching Understandably, many individuals who leave the JW’s; after suffering mental / physical abuse (in one form or another), also leave behind everything to do with that religion, including the Bible! But do you know something, the JW’s love this!! They love to talk about former JW’s and those who associated but decided to leave, especially if they can talk about every negative aspect of their lives since they left!! What they hate the most are those who challenge their false doctrines and worse, former JW’s who keep their faith and attend church!
Keep in mind one thing, JW’s do not have a hold on anyone and “every” ex JW needs to speak that out loud (even if it’s just to their self!), neither do they have any authority or ownership on scripture or indeed God’s name (Jehovah). Not every Christian will refer to Almighty God as Jehovah, but some do. Believe me when I tell you this, access to a relationship with God is not difficult, complex, or time consuming. Even 5 minutes a day will open your eyes, can dramatically change your life and will empower you going forward.
      In love🙏

you are not alone Elle , as my father also passed away at 61 years of age, because of refusing a blood transfusion , all this happening in the year 1974 , one year away from when the world was supposed to pass away in 1975 , according to the jehovah witness organization ..! and guess what , after putting no less then 8 dates for the end of the world by the jehovah witness organization , now they quit putting dates on these things , but in the meantime , how many other jehovah witnesses have lost their lives because of the dates put on for the end of the world , that simply did not come to pass..! and as far as New York goes , they just say ‘oh well ‘ because of their past failed dates , and just say now that the end is coming ‘real soon’..! like , what kind of a brain would follow these wicked evil , ungodly men , after they have been wrong so many times about biblical things , all over the years…!

It’s like there’s this sunk cost. They’ve invested time, money and energy for years…. But, there is an alternative. There’s freedom. But, they’re scared. It’s more comfy to be a JW. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Are you an atheist now? Just wondering. It would be interesting to hear about your spirituality if you still have one after leaving the JW.

@@ElleRenoCoaching thanks. I left Christianity seven years ago and found that the Noahide path not only lined up with my questions, but really resonated with me as well. If your interested (or simply curious) I would recommend checking out Tovia Singer and seeking to serve, you tube channels.
