Best singer/vocalist in the world. I used to check out new songs of famous vocal stars in the world, current and old, I used to check the best auditions of voice around the world etc. but then about a year ago I discovered Dimash, everything chaged and all those other legends male or female from all previous years turn to fade. I have rewatched Dimash all performances multiple times now, there were weeks when SOS was best, I repeat, repeat it to listen, there were similar weeks of repeat listen, watching reactions to sinful passion, love is like a dream, adagio, your love, ogni petra, diva dance, daybreak, autumn strong (chinese lyrics), opera2, etc. etc. My current repeat listen, watching reactions songs of dimash are adagio and know. No singer, vocalist in the world made to listen to them this much ever, I frankly dont like to listen to other sub-par singers now as compared to Dimash. For me, dimash is the best singer, vocalist ever.

This was in 2017 he was invited to China to compete with professional singers and he was the youngest competitor there. Nobody knows him but after this competition he became a star. He held concert in New York Barclay's Centre in 2019 he also held concerts in Europe. He is the 8 wonder of the world. Take care stay safe. From Singapore.
Consider listening to the contest episodes in order (you can find them by searching The Singer 2017 Dimash ep 1, 2 whatever). He put a lot of strategy and careful thinking into how he wanted to reveal his talent - and believe me, you've only heard a fraction of it. If you do this, the next song on your list should be Opera 2, a very famous Russian song that was first sung by Vitas and won many, many awards. You'll see a playful Dimash, teasing his listeners in away that isn't typical, but shows what control he has over presentation. And then - you'll hear more capabilities from that amazing voice.... He's only 22 here, and his voice is still growing and maturing. You'll hear that when you start listening to things from 2019 and 2020. Or the version of Samul Tau he offered up for the Sister Cities Organization just yesterday...

Dimash is from Kazakhstan. This was from a Chinese show with known singers and he was brought in as an unknown and blew everyone away. He speaks Kazakh and Russian and is learning English and Manadarin Chinese. He has sung in 12 different languages (SOS was in French.) He has a vocal range of 6 octaves and 5 semitones (A2-D8) D8 is off the piano and is a whistle note. By comparison, Beyonce has a 3 octave range, Michael Jackson had a 4 octave range, and Mariah Carey has a 5 octave range. I recommend Sinful Passion next followed by Unforgettable Day (Gakku concert) and be sure it's the Gakku performance, not any other.

ARTIST FACTS: DIMASH KUDAIBERGEN is a Kazakh singer, songwriter, & multi-instrumentalist. Born in Aktobe Kazakhstan, Central Asia: May 24, 1994. He was trained in classical & contemporary music, and is well known for his exceptional widest vocal range.
I still browse the music videos of Dimash from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength Dimash had invested into it, to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that he had. Indeed it is really a great work. How he was able to develop such a heights of his talents is really admirable and worth learning and imitating. And it is much more beautiful because he sang it by heart, naturally and at his heart’s content with joyful disposition.
The discipline, dedication and high ideals in pursuing his career the best he can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living out our day to day life. His hard work for years is indeed bearing good fruits in abundance. And so my heartfelt congratulations to Dimash and his family and all others who supported him all the way through as a musician. For me as a public listener it counts a lot the personal disposition of the artist and the good content and message of its music.
The fact that, he is able to sing his music at maximum or more than 6 octaves with ease and comfort in different languages and in various voices is really amazing. But some others also cannot handle and cannot even believe the power, the strength and the heights of his voice…and they said Ooh… is Dimash human..? Alien..? Etc, I think It’s just a natural reaction that people wonder and be surprise by it or cannot even believed it at all, it’s because it is beyond human expectation.
I believed that Dimash 21 year’s cultivation of his voice and talents is no tricks and no magic at all; though he is gifted by God with grace for music but his years of hard work of practice and experiences proved it to us and to the world … that indeed it is possible. My other concern whenever I listen to music is that, I usually ask: WHAT MESSAGE THIS MUSIC BRINGS ..? TO THE WORLD..? TO PEOPLE..?
Although Dimash music are very good, full of content and meaning but I like most this music, because for me it speaks a message of truth, values and realities of human life. I feel that, it is not just enough to give my thumbs up to like this music, but I’m deeply moved to share something more about the richness and deeper meaning of it.
With due respect to the composers, writers and singers of these music for whatever their purpose and intention would be, will always take precedence. The thoughts that I will be sharing below is only the fruits of my personal reflections based on the things that I highly valued and on how I perceived it myself and the message of this song that reaches out to me. I like this music because it reminds me the Truth, Realities and Precariousness of Human Life particularly Suffering and Death)
SONG FACTS: The song is from French Rock Opera called Starmania. Originally it was sung by Daniel Balavoine who had a sudden death in a helicopter accident in 1986, who is known of his beautiful voice. Later, it was covered by Gregory Lemarchal, a young French singer who inspired Dimash to sing “SOS d'un terrien en detresse” who at all odds won the 4th series Reality TV Program Star Academy, despite his failing health and became an overnight success in France but had a shorter career, for he died young with his unusual illness of Cystic Fibrosis in 2007 at the age of 23.
Recently it was unbelievably covered by Dimash and from time to time Dimash sung it in memory of his great friend Denis Ten an Olympic figure skater from Kazakhstan who was stabbed after a dispute with people who allegedly tried to steal a mirror from his car in his home city of Almaty. He died of massive blood loss from multiple wounds at the age of 25 in 2018. The song has sad lyrics: “a soul’s plea for help or an earthly being in distress” because it is a human being who is in anguish searching for the absolute.
MY THOUGHTS AND OPINION OF THIS SONG (REF CCC): Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our human life’s , but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life:
1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discerned well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that, it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with humility, discernment and faith in God.
Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any kind of pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed up of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow over time in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand.
Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are only strangers and pilgrims on this earth”.
Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. But through the original sin that enters human lives, our nature has been wounded, and is now subject to suffering and death.
This was not part of God’s original plan, but now is already part of our human lives reality. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain.
Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and even argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end, we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. The truth is… in front of death we are all poor and powerless.
If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. Death is such a peaceful, joyful event in our life, if we die reconciled with God and at peace with others as well. Death is unknown to all of us, therefore, it is best that we should prepare at all times.

Another unique singer like Dimash and Tatiana is Diana Ankudinova (pronounced Dee-Anna Ahn-Koo-Dee-Nova) who is currently only 17 but performed on a Russian show kind of like The Voice but for kids who had a disadvantaged life when she was 15. She is Russian but can sing in English. Start with her cover of Wicked Game by Chris Isaak, then her cover of Human by Rag N Boneman, then her performance of a Russian folk song called Rechenka (which means River). You will not be disappointed.

Dimash is impressive without false endorsements... he has been famous and performing, internationally since 2010, and had won loads of competitions and had concert tours, well before 2016... the Chinese show "Singer" happened in 2017... I am not sure why people insist on spreading this false story about the first time anyone heard of him...
He was the first performer in that edition/season of the Show... and since all competitors on that show are proven professional and top-selling Chinese superstars of their own right... they wouldn't have let a nobody participate...
So this is what the truth is...
- First performer on Singer - Season 5 - check
- First non-Chinese performer in a Chinese reality show - check
- Youngest performer in the history of the competition, and until date - check
... all of that is true... but "the first time anyone's ever heard of him" - that is total BS...
Dimash is phenomenally impressive just based on reality, without folks resorting to adding BS and fan-fiction to his achievements and accolades...
@@ceeyum Did the Chinese general public already know him? I thought that the other competitors didn't know him and hadn't heard him sing before. Had Dimash done competitions in China? Can you please direct me to this information, because I'm sincerely interested. Obviously someone had heard him sing somewhere at some point to invite him to the competition. I know he had been singing in Kazakhstan and Russia.
@@Kfuglif I did say that he was the first non-Chinese performer in a Chinese reality show, in my previous response... so I am not entirely sure, how to answer if the Chinese general public knew of him... however, let's agree that he was an unknown quantity to the general Chinese audience... and I would not be entirely surprised if it is proven that even his fellow competitors were unaware of his existence (these things can happen, and they aren't the end of the world)...
Even before the 2017 season of Singer, in the previous 4 seasons, there were artists who may/not have been new to the Chinese audience and competitors... what I mean is they didn't come from Mainland China... and were from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and a couple from even South Korea and Malaysia... however, all of them were Chinese origin, and could in all likelihood speak either Mandarin or Cantonese...
In Season 5, the show decided to experiment with Dimash, as a wild-card entry, who was their first non-Chinese performer... and since then Jessie J, another experiment, also won the show in Season 6.
Apart from Kazakhstan and Russia, Dimash had also toured, performed and won awards in Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus, Austria, Slovenia, Serbia, France, South Korea, to name a few countries... so the point I was trying to make in my previous response was specific to "the first time anyone's ever heard of him"... and the assumption that it was his debut... some Dimash fans keep circulating that silly theory and I was only trying to dispel that myth... because that is not what the Singer contest is about...
Dimash is ridiculously talented for him to just be a mere "someone had heard him somewhere at some point" :-)
I understand his fans/dears are just trying to eagerly promote and zealously defend him... but that is no reason to manufacture unsubstantiated claims... they aren't doing their favorite artist any favors by making misrepresentations.
You didn't see nothing yet, this Kasachstani guy is a one of a milion talent. Speaks several langauges and sings in chinese, russian, english, frech and more. Check out his other songs. There is a song where he holds a note like for 18-20 seconds without stop, it's unreal.^^

This was Dimash's first appearance on the Chinese show, "I am Singer" A competition for professional, well known performers. it was 4 years ago and Dimash was only 22, ...after this Dimash became an international star. Fan clubs in over 120 countries....I always recommend Dimash's music video "Akkyum (My Swan) to young ladies, it is on his YT channel along with many other performances, OSTs to movies, tv dramas and video games....and best of all his concerts...his New York, sold out concert, among them.. You truly do not know the treats you are in for....SOS doesn't even begin to incorporate his talent...

Dimash has a lot of videos floating around UA-cam that show how different his performances can be. One thing is a constant though, he is by far the most talented singer I have ever heard. A couple of his songs that come to mind are, Love Is Like A Dream, Autumn Strong, and Sinful Passion. He has a lot of others out there as well. I enjoyed your reaction not knowing what was coming LOL. I like your videos, not too much unnecessary chatter, but you say what needs to be said.
This was a singing competition...the people in the vid were competitors that had to go on after him! lol... SOS is a French art song about a man in distress imploring for his life. There is an Eng Sub version of this on UA-cam. Enjoy
