I have a 2015 hyundai sonata with 183k miles. I bought it used at 83,333 miles and safe to say it is pretty reliable. The only downside is the electric problems that popped up months after I bought it. Overall no serious issues.
@@dougn2350 sorry just found my logins to this account, I had several sensors go off (TPMS, Lane assist, FCW System and Highbeam sensor) they all went off at the same time so it must be something that they connect to.
I have 275,000 plus miles on my 2016. Runs great. Gets 34 mpg. Other than tires, brake pads, oil and filters plus the serpentine belt it is all totally original.
I had this same exact car, color and all. Brought it brand new in 2016, even though it was a 2015. Orange is my favorite color and I loved that car. Unfortunately in 2017, some idiot didn't yield to oncoming traffic before turning in front of me and the insurance company totaled it out. Since that was the only year that color was made, I couldn't get another exact match.
Sorry you lost your car. I sold this one few months after making this video and i shouldn’t have done that. The newer ones are smaller and have less power.
@@ZOHAN1989 I agree unless you get the N Line but that still doesn't have all the features that the 2015 Limited Sport had. If they took the current Limited and added the 2.5 turbo and gave it the quad exhaust I would junp on that. But Hyundai makes you pick between luxury or power with the Sonata these days. The luxury trim lacks power and the powerful trim lacks luxury.
My 2021 Sonata SEL will hit 100,000 miles in 2 years. Yeah I drive a lot. It now has 61k and no problems runs n drives like new. Update May 2024: I'm now at 77,500 and still runs n drives great. Uses no oil.
I have same exact car 2015 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T but my car engine died at 1,30,821 miles and my Hyundai dealer told me that my car was qualified for new engine and im happy with that.
Would you recommend a 2014 Hyundai Sonata SE? I heard some bad things about it but not sure if it’s more about maintenance or just how the car was designed.
disappointed you spent more than half the video rambling about stuff that nb cares about. we wanted to know the stuff that we can’t see(how the car runs )
You getting a refurbished long or short block whatever they see fit i already been down that road i had to pay so i ended with a new long block so they say but it comes with all the internals everything else stays the same alternator etc...i have a 139k on mind's its a decent car for what it is but im already dealing with oil burning issues after 12k on new engine and regular maintenance at the dealership just get another car if you can i brought me a nice little 2014 v6 mustang just in case my car mess up again
I know right, I'm an older female I know a lil something Abt cars, I've been Uber/ Lyft in my( 2016) for 5 months now, I normally drive 5-6 hrs B4 taking breaks n I normally go for allotted driving time of 12hrs, it definitely burns oil, but these newer cars don't tick like older cars did when oil was low, a can randomly pops up on dashboard & I have to catch it, now the can did stay on, but either way it's completely out of oil, so I just add $3.99 corner store oil. I changed it over to 30/40 weight oil, no major work, a sensor in my pedal which slows acceleration it's $300 to fix, but my mechanic erased the codes 2-3 times...I LOVE THAT MAN😂, from here on Imma put gas treatment monthly, I've added Lucas Oil stabilizer but not all in one time, changed air filter n wrote milage on it, Imma change oil filter since getting an oil change is pointless in mine eyes cuz I'm adding oil weekly.
A vehicle that burns a quart of oil every 1000 miles and has to have a new engine installed is not a reliable vehicle. My 2017 Corolla has 140,000 miles and doesn't burn a drop of oil that's what you call a reliable vehicle

What sort of electric problems ?
Does your smoke a little when trying to pass someone and you have to accelerate quickly?

@@chaselesser3191 it does not, if yours does that I would recommend taking it to get looked at professionally.
That's quite impressive. What maintenance routine did you do? What kind of oil do you use, and what mile do you change the oil?

They’re great cars if you take care of them. I regret selling this one. The newer ones aren’t that much of an upgrade.

I upgraded to a 2021 sonata limited and already at 71k miles. Will hit 100k probably by mid next year.
Just bought the regular sport version on Friday ! Came from a 01 Honda accord lol . I’m in love with the Hyundai
Hope you bought a 2019 version. These models(2015-2019) are junk.
I’ve added oil to mine also now that you mention it

Good to know just bought one with 77k miles on it. Looking forward to being a owner
did you do maintenance yourself? or dealer?
I have my sonata sport 2015 I bought it 0 miles now it is 181,000 miles is good but burn 🔥 oil a decent amount because I drive 8 hour every day

I think Kia and Hyundai mage great cars

Bro do u have link for the steering wheel?
I have the sonata sport 2.4
Me too and I haven't had any issues on my 2017 sonata limited
Everything i hear about Hyundai and Kia says run the other way. They have a bad rep, but i don't know if it is deserved.
