My grandfather passed on from earth two days ago. Leading up to his passing, I was seeing dragonflies and dragonfly images and symbols everywhere. One even flew into my garage, and got stuck in the overhead garage door light. I figured out how to undo the casing of the light and let the dragonfly back outside. I’m not sure what it all means, but hearing this song and it’s message, after just losing my grandfather, is special to me. Thank you.

Tisha, I am so sorry you have experienced the death of a child. My mother told me the death of a child is the worse than the loss of parents, spouse, or siblings. I had a teenage sister who died within months of my birth. My mother did not move beyond it, until 33 years later, I delivered the first grandchild.

Hey Paul, I wanted to let you know how much I love your music and uplifting words.... I've been listening to you a lot, pretty much since I discovered you on youtube, for the last 4 years or so; Basically Daily, everyday. My wife loves you to. She's also a huge fan of Nahko Bear. My wife cares immensely about politics. In fact, we love Mike Love, Nahko Bear, You, and Rising Appalachia. We think the world of you all. Oh, and I can't forget Tubby Love and Amber Lilly. They seem so much in love. It's really sweet. I Love my wife (Christiana), she's my best friend... her last name happens to be Love . I wanted to let you know more about how much you all have meant to me. You see... I've been going through very, very hard times. Six years ago, I was coming home from a bar, we were seeing a couple of friends at a small local tavern. Their performance was extraordinary. Not only did they do wonderful versions of classic rock covers, they had tremendous stage presence... like two hilarious comedians that work well together. We were on top of the world. But it was late and I was tired so we left for a short drive home: not drunk or wasted... we were passing another bar on route 40 between Baltimore and Harford county... when... A drunk person pulled out in front of me as I was coming... I veered to the left. but the driver was so drunk they drove across three lanes and never looked to see if anything was oncoming. We crashed and crashed again... into two park cars at a red-light. I smashed doing 65 into a Giant Suburban ,and the Suburban hit the car in front of them. The dash board came in... The steering wheel was pinned to my chest. My wife hit her head and was knocked unconscious... I wasn't sure if she was dead... her face was covered in blood. The Air Bags did NOT Deploy! A mean angry guy who looked stronger than Arnold Schwarzenegger got out of the Suburban and was screaming he was gonna murder me. The car that caused the accident managed to get away. The guy in the Suburban blamed me. I would have been ruined financially as well, but luckily an undercover cop at this seedy bar witnessed the accident and wrote a report which cleared me. You see the woman who caused the accident got away. My wife came through. But its been six years and I still feel like I have a big whole in the center of my chest right on my heart chakra. And my spine feels like its 150 years old sometimes. Lesson learned... Don't Drink and Drive I guess...or if you can't do that... at least... "Don't Get SHIT FACED PLATESTED TO THE FOUR WINDS AND GET BEHIND THE WHEEL!" Ha. You know... I'm not mad at the woman who ruined my life.... my wife is... Sometimes I get a little bitter when the pain is really bad... but... people make mistakes and accidents happen... I'm glad she left actually... the world doesn't need any more people in jail. Especially black (African-Americans) people (I try to be respectful. You see, the undercover cop at the bar identified the driver as an African-American Female. He didn't get the license plate. My apologies for being long-winded... so let me end with this. This is what I think of you music makers, you peace warriors, advocates towards the good... Rising Appalachia, Nahko Bear Mike Love and especially YOU.... You all remind me of the end of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory... You see, Charlie had the ever-lasting gobstopper, which was worth a fortune if he sold it to the right person... so even though Charlie was poor, and... even though Charlie's family was old and very poor (Charlie loved his Family) HE RETURNED THE GOBSTOPPER TO MR. WONKA. BECAUSE... IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. Again, sorry to be so long-winded... Here what I'm getting at... You all are like Charlie in a way.... or at least you remind me about something Mr. Wonka says at the end of the movie.... He says to Charlie, "So shines a good deed in weary world." The backup singer is fantastic. Her energy, smile, giggles, and beautiful yet subtle voice are just excellent. The young man is obviously concentrating hard on his part which isn't easy, that's some quick and well practiced guitar work! Paul Izak's music has been inspiring me a lot lately. I've been listening to you a lot, pretty much since I discovered you on youtube, for the last 4 years or so; Basically Daily, everyday. My wife loves you to. She's also a huge fan of Nahko Bear. My wife cares immensely about politics. In fact, we love Mike Love, Nahko Bear, You, and Rising Appalachia. We think the world of you all. Oh, and I can't forget Tubby Love and Amber Lilly. They seem so much in love. It's really sweet. I Love my wife (Christiana), she's my best friend... her last name happens to be Love .
I wanted to let you know more about how much you all have meant to me. You see... I've been going through very, very hard times. Six years ago, I was coming home from a bar, we were seeing a couple of friends at a small local tavern. Their performance was extraordinary. Not only did they do wonderful versions of classic rock covers, they had tremendous stage presence... like two hilarious comedians that work well together. We were on top of the world. But it was late and I was tired so we left for a short drive home: not drunk or wasted... we were passing another bar on route 40 between Baltimore and Harford county... when... A drunk person pulled out in front of me as I was coming... I veered to the left. but the driver was so drunk they drove across three lanes and never looked to see if anything was oncoming. We crashed and crashed again... into two park cars at a red-light. I smashed doing 65 into a Giant Suburban ,and the Suburban hit the car in front of them. The dash board came in... The steering wheel was pinned to my chest. My wife hit her head and was knocked unconscious... I wasn't sure if she was dead... her face was covered in blood. The Air Bags did NOT Deploy! A mean angry guy who looked stronger than Arnold Schwarzenegger got out of the Suburban and was screaming he was gonna murder me. The car that caused the accident managed to get away. The guy in the Suburban blamed me. I would have been ruined financially as well, but luckily an undercover cop at this seedy bar witnessed the accident and wrote a report which cleared me. You see the woman who caused the accident got away. My wife came through. But its been six years and I still feel like I have a big whole in the center of my chest right on my heart chakra. And my spine feels like its 150 years old sometimes. Lesson learned... Don't Drink and Drive I guess...or if you can't do that... at least... "Don't Get SHIT FACED PLATESTED TO THE FOUR WINDS AND GET BEHIND THE WHEEL!" Ha.
You know... I'm not mad at the woman who ruined my life.... my wife is... Sometimes I get a little bitter when the pain is really bad... but... people make mistakes and accidents happen... I'm glad she left actually... the world doesn't need any more people in jail. Especially black (African-Americans) people (I try to be respectful. You see, the undercover cop at the bar identified the driver as an African-American Female. He didn't get the license plate.
My apologies for being long-winded... so let me end with this.
This is what I think of you music makers, you peace warriors, advocates towards the good... Rising Appalachia, Nahko Bear Mike Love and especially YOU....
You all remind me of the end of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory... You see, Charlie had the ever-lasting gobstopper, which was worth a fortune if he sold it to the right person... so even though Charlie was poor, and... even though Charlie's family was old and very poor (Charlie loved his Family) HE RETURNED THE GOBSTOPPER TO MR. WONKA. BECAUSE... IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.
Again, sorry to be so long-winded... Here what I'm getting at... You all are like Charlie in a way.... or at least you remind me about something Mr. Wonka says at the end of the movie.... He says to Charlie, "So shines a good deed in weary world." Thanks for Everything! You and you're family have helped me more than you know.
