I bought this nail gun as we were planning to renew all the fencing in our back garden. As this involved 19 double slatted fence panels, 10 of which needed to be cut down in size, we knew there would be a need for a great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt deal of re-stapling the wooden slats to the wooden framework. Each alteration required the re-stapling of 62 wooden slats with double staples. Prior to starting the work we ordered sufficient additional staples as per the instructions with the gun.The gun performed fantastically throughout the entire project with no jams of misfires. The adjustable power was excellent allowing the staples to be fired into the 8mm slats to the correct depth. For the price paid this was a bargain and it proved itself to be so reliable and versatile making an arduous task much quicker and professional. I cannot recommend this product highly enough and it will be used on many other projects in the future.
It's nice to see someone give Worx brand real world reviews alongside other more well known brands. I don't rate Worx tools as a "jobsite" tool But definitely it's at the top of the D.I.Y level. I look forward to reviewing this tool in the near future. Thanks and great review!
Well said! I would mostly agree. The first Worx tools we tried, years ago, were at a much lower level than where they're at now. This nailer is a great tool for the weekend warrior...even and entry level finisher/cabinetry. Thanks for watching.
I have a few Worx tools that I use for stuff around the house, all have been fine for that but my brushless drill driver (WX737) compares as well as any of the Makita or Bosch tools that I use daily as a carpenter
I'm a contractor doing HVAC and plumbing. I got tired of Milwaukee batteries and the cost of all the tools along with battery replacement cost. I still supply and buy Milwaukee corded tools but all our cordless power tools are Worx or Worx nitro we still have a few old Waukees kickin still. But the Worx...They work really well the batteries are very durable and I'm happy with that. The batteries outlast the tools. Tools are affordable and still make me the same amount of money Milwaukee did. Thanks WORX
this is a good review, i have too add i held this tool in my hand and its HEAVY, needed a nail gun so instead i took a cord power tool from another other brand. work safe
You may need to place your other hand on top of the nailer to prevent kickback with the longer staples. I sometimes even find that the case with pneumatic units.
I wonder if Worx will come up with a framing nail gun. I have the Worx Brad nail/staple gun. It would be good to get a framing or combination nail gun from Worx using the same batteries.
Worx Brand tools here in New Zealand use to be sold as a big box store (Mitre10 Mega) brand I have a few of their powered sanders (and have been work horses, been flogged and still going strong, though again I am slowly switching over to AEG) I never got into their battery range of tools as I was already AEG 18v ... You hardly see the Worx tools now Mitre10 Mega no longer sells them and not even sure where to get them from in NZ any more... lol
Can the WX840 shoot brads/staples well at 45 deg. angle or less? I'm going to be putting in some posts in a slanted section of handrail. Also are the nails and brads a universal size and fit so I don't have to special order them anywhere (Worx) ?
Wow! That's some light show at 10:20! Definitely seems like an AirStrike (TTI) clone...without the power. My AirStrikes will sink any fastener all the way into oak.
@@Shoptoolreviews Most of the cheaper tools are all made at the same factory and the just change the brand and a few other things so no copyright is broken...
I mean one has to consider the type of mail and the material that they're shooting in to see if it's worth shooting the hole length of the nail like even high-end guns with full depth nails may not go all the way in if you're nailing something extreme hard because they're again one they're wired so and I have multiple different types of guns hardwood you don't have to go so deep in order to get the fasting that you need so it's not a downside really it's within its capacity and in compares very well when I can see
I have this nail gun. It drives the longer brads fine with no jams. However, driving the shorter brads, jams more often than not. Any idea why that is?
Make sure you are putting the brads in correctly, far left & down. Then slide the cover over top. I had the same issues until i realized that I wasnt putting the 1/4 inch brads far left & down tight.
Good video - but the inevitable was skipped - how to clear a jam. Very important to know before investing the money. You said 2 allen head screws needs to be removed to expose under the nose, but seeing a demonstration is much better than being told what to do. Can you upload a video showing the process of clearing jams? My concern is that I hear it's tedious and time consuming. Thanks !
Definitely. Taking the head (4 screws) off each time is a pain. Not great instructions from the company either. I like Worx, but have never had problems with their tools like I have with this one.
Just received another nail gun and it absolutely will not shot 3/4" brads without jams. . . .lots of jams. The longer brads appear to shot fine, much like your demonstration. I suspect that is the reason they do not include the shorter 3/4" brads with the gun. Just sayin'. Would like your thoughts on this comment. Thank you.
It’s a somewhat old fashioned term, means the fastener sticks up a bit. When I was a kid the old people would talk about “proud flesh” meaning a swelling if you got hit in the mouth, for example. I never hear it used any more except by woodworkers on Tv

Amazing video, finally someone explaining details and showing the work!! 👌🏻
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
I have a worx it does the job very powerful
Thank you! About to pick one up for myself! I appreciate your details & thoroughness.

It does the job but does not feel like a tool because of the low weight

I think you are probably the best I have seen on showing and explaining how a tool works. You did an awesome job. Thanks 😊
You are very welcome and thank you very much.
this is a good review, i have too add i held this tool in my hand and its HEAVY, needed a nail gun so instead i took a cord power tool from another other brand. work safe
Great job. Thanks just got mines.
You definitely nailed it 🙂

Great video I think I now can own a nail gun. Looks like this product will work well with repairing household furniture and such. Thanks a lot
I am building a chicken coop with pallet wood and lumber I bought, what do you recommend to use ? Staples or nails with this gun.
I like it !!! Great for finishing work !!!
Definitely nicely priced !!!!
We agree! Thanks for watching.
I have a worx EGO mower love it. Also I have a blower and trimmer I can use batteries that I already have!
Have you tried putting a cable with the staples?
Thank you for this! I was nervous to use a nail gun for the first time until this video (same nail gun!).
I wonder if Worx will come up with a framing nail gun. I have the Worx Brad nail/staple gun. It would be good to get a framing or combination nail gun from Worx using the same batteries.
I would be surprised to see them make a framing nailer. That's really a Pro tool, not DIY. Who knows, maybe we will. Thanks for watching.
I wonder if you could convert that kit say for an co2 powerd air Rifle
Answered a problem I was experiencing (not firing)

Can this work with nailing wood pickets on a fence ?
What is the one up from this gun in the same brand ?
Good for you the one I have here didn't even last a day jamming over and over, can't see anything in there jammed but have to get another brand.
How much is the price . And where. Can I buy? Thank
A like worx tools is good quality
Even Worx has nailers now?
Come on Kobalt!
Yep, and it's a pretty good one too. Thanks for watching.

Any brand will work, just use the right gauge (18 ga). Ive used the ones that come with the nailer, brads from WalMart & Lowes.
For120 cant beat that!
He said $140, and it can't sink all of the fasteners. That thing is a fail.
I would agree. It can handle the majority of a DIY'ers work and it shoots rather nice. Thanks for watching.
Wow! That's some light show at 10:20!
Definitely seems like an AirStrike (TTI) clone...without the power. My AirStrikes will sink any fastener all the way into oak.
It definitely resembles the AirStrike. You are correct. Thanks for watching.

Pro1er you mean Ryobi?
Is Ryobi better?
can this drive large nails?
No

I don't like it the nose seems kinda flimsy is there any other better 2 in 1 stapler/brad nailer out there?
Milwaukee m18

How does this compare to the ryobi?
It is black. I think the ryobi is more green
Ryobi doesn't have a combination nailer/stapler I don't think!

I had the same problem and it turned out to be the brand of Brad's I was using. I tried a different brand and it worked just fine 👍🏼
I realized that I was not putting the 1/4 inch brads all the way left & down. Once i started doing that, not one jam.
What stores sell this ..i want one 😁
You can find it at Worx.com or on Amazon. We put a link in the description. Thanks for watching.

I think Menards, if you have one nearby, should have them. They carry a lot of Worx tools.
was inflation really that bad or did you mean to say that the tool itself is 140$?
This is just a freeman cloned model, put a worx housing and change the battery interface but selling double of freeman price
It's an old ryobi design.
Fasteners are proud? I’ve seen Tommie on This Old House follow behind his real professional nail gun with a claw hammer to swat fasteners to sink ‘em.
Proud is a term that is pretty common, meaning it's sticking up above the surface. Yep, Tommie knows best. Thanks for watching.
Well we can see it's not brushless
Yes, and I mention this in the video. Thanks for watching.
I was just kidding around boy you can tell from the spark show it gave off
* Total Junk ! Shot 1 nail and quit ! Turns out most people have the same experience ! 👊😖👎
Great tools for less.Thanks
“Proud”?
