I have a RAV4 and am working on the right setup for me. I decided to keep the one passenger backseat up, as well, for the same reasons you mentioned. It reduces the space in the back, but it’s worth being able to sit up and climb into the bed. I’m still working on the bed platform to make it flat and level. I’m going to try plywood with two 6.5” legs at the door end.
Looks good man! Is there anything you'd like to improve or add on? I'm not sure if I missed it, but would you consider getting a roof rack to get even more space for the interior?
@@markie.15 I have thought about it but at the same time, I like the fuel economy it’s giving me as is, and it’s not even a hybrid! 35-40 mpg on flat ground is the norm.
Sorry for the late response. It’s an Airsense 11 and I’m not sure how much power it draws. It does drain my power station from full charge in a single night though
Why would you not keep the stuff that's in the driver's seat in the back seat, and use the driver's seat as the place to sit and do stuff? That way you'd always have the driver's seat available if you need to get up and drive, for whatever reason, i.e. sudden wildfires, burglars, cops appearing and asking you to move, etc
@@pedrojorge2741 I find it easier to get into bed from that passenger seat, especially since I can take my shoes off seated right there and then climb into bed. I usually don’t have those concerns because I use iOverlander to see where I can camp for the night.
I have a hybrid Rav 4 and I live in Canada. I really love my car. I was thinking of car camping for next summer. Great set up. Thanks!
I met a couple from Canada who were traveling with their dog in a RAV4 hybrid. It looked super cramped but it was doable.

Love it! I can’t wait to start back camping again. I just got the 2024 Rav4.

if its a hybrid you should have ac all night, climate control, right?
Can I ask how tall you are? Do you have enough leg room when you sleep?
Where's your alien cloaking device so you don't get abducted?
Can you tell me what the make and model of your c-pap is? How much power does it draw?
