Back in the Limewire days, this live performance was what I downloaded and it was the only version that I knew for years and years. It has such a special place in my heart. He is the best American songwriter of the last 30 years. Hard to express how much I love his music. I have gotten to see him and Bright Eyes live 27 times. I’m 42 and his music has been with me since I was a 15 yr old junior in high school. As a songwriter he’s in there with Paul Simon and Tom Waits. Just a few steps behind Bob Dylan
