I see no lies here. He's the reason I picked up this deck. I am currently running the build from this video. I haven't upgraded it beyond that so far. But it's fun to play.

@@jinsu0504 Pretty viable. Maybe not T1 but I'd argue T2 at least. It has it struggles but it's so good going first.

To be fair, this is a cut and pasted together stream. Gage's sealed only series has a lot more editing put into it and voiceover.
One thing I've seen some people forget is pudicas interaction with Pinguicula. If you banish a special summoned monster with pudica, you can opt to attach it to Pinguicula, so they won't have the option to resummon that original banished monster in particular come next standby phase

They can just Special Summon any other banished monster. It's still good removal, but not amazing. Now it obviously shouldn't be like Mirrorjade, but it gives your opponent any banished monster back.
@@yasharthpandey6317 I'm not saying it circumvents the effect entirely, but if it's something particular problematic you banished and against kashtira, for example means they won't have access to that monster with birth etc

I really enjoyed that there was no commentary put over the games in post. Puts a really relaxing calming vibe to the games and didn't distract from the plays being made. I would definitely like to see this style more in the future.

This structure is kind of nuts, I can't believe it's straight up playable out of the box. Full extra and everything.
Literally my only criticism of the structure is that it didn't come with a Time Thief Redoer. It's as mandatory for the deck as Rafflesia. But other than that, it's really solid.

@@SwagMaster824 The deck puts traps under Xyz monsters super easy, so redoer almost always has his effect to spin big dudes. But even then ultra redoers are like a buck.
@@ljaquos Yeah like, I'm not exactly aching for a Redoer reprint per se. I just think if they wanted the deck to be close to optimal straight out of the box, Redoer would be a no-brainer.
Hey PAK! I would really enjoy a video where you explain what you side in and out for various match ups. You have so much knowledge of the game and being able to see your reasoning for why you do certain things would be awsome!

Round 5, you can't summon Myrm with Sera, 'cause you already control Myrm. Sera must summon a monster with a different name. Good job anyway !
Would this have mattered? Pak could summon a different name then use garden to summon myrm that way no?

Hope you upload more videos like this with different decks. It's a chill environment and as spectators we learn a lot of things and interactions
Game 3 in the first match, when you had Sera, Mantis and the Field Spell, you could have activated the graveyard effect of Tantalizing Tune to recycle the Holetaea, Field Spell banish Mantis to SS Dionaea, Dionaea resets Holetaea, Sera sets another backrow and you're off to the races. Would have led to Rafflesia on summon #4 and you'd still have both your normal summons.
Edit: Damn bro, four Kashtira and a Spright at *locals*? No wonder you're good at YGO, it's trial by fire over there. 😭

I played Traptrix tonight at locals for the first time (basically 3 structures + Parallel eXceed + Book of Moon + Kurikara + the Therion package), went 3-1-1. I’m shocked that Pak opened a Network Trap Hole in his OTS pack and said it wasn’t good that card was one of the best cards in the deck all night. It was crazy against Kashtira, Branded, Spright, and Ninjas. I didn’t play against Lab but theoretically it’s great against them too.

Hey Pak, why hold Raigeki on match 1 game 2? I’m looking at that Denko turning your traps off. I guess them having a monster prevents the specials from hand but was it a “if they have they have it, Or If they don’t I punish them more with whatever they summon” ?

I did have a question: as someone who has never been to locals for yugioh, why did some opponents have some art/sleeve just sort of sitting on the top middle of their playmat? (opponents in round 2, 4, and 5). Is that some sort of style thing people commonly do, or like a marker 'your cards can't go past this'? I've played lots of magic in paper and never seen anything like this

ive been looking for this comment, i was reading the effects and i honestly dont think that should of worked. Cause ash only does special summon, or search, or move to grave. But eclipse just sets em face down and im like??????
@@luisflores-tl4qmi had to read that card again and it's true, ash can activate because book of eclipse end phase effect include adding card(s) from the deck

1:21:40 You cannot special summon Myrmeleo from your deck via Sera because you already control a Myrmeleo on the field. Sera's effect only allows Traptrix monsters with a different name you don't already control.

Biggest upgrade for this deck is prob a knightmare of some kind so we can out iblee going second. Deck is super sick.

@Its Yoogi redoer mid especially since your main form of protection is locking you into insect and plants from extra deck. Knightmare takes infinite priority because its actually going to come up this format.

@@CocTheElf if you have the extenders yeah but the issue is nib is in format so rafflesia is more important to summon first. If you opened cracked sure but from my testing just getting your traps and monsters rolling is more beneficial.
Thank you so much for this amazing guide, although in Australia most locals cost 15$ and we only get 4 packs max. This’ll help a lot as I won’t need to run around and search for more needed cards just to get the deck to 40 cards. Thanks Pak! (P.S - do you recommend adding 1 or 2 Anti-Spell fragrance? This deck is a trap deck so I think it’ll only affect the opponent.) In round 2 - Game 2 at the start was it just me who heard; SKIBIDI DOP MU DADA

This structure goes kinda hard tbh, all those traptrix reprints as well as duster + raigeki, evenly, retaliating c, 2 kaijus, and even another common ash
Every structure since the albaz one have pretty much all been killers tbh

Yes, just have to make before being locked into insects/plant. Maybe just run 3 borea, and 1 therion king. Or just keep pure

Man between traptrix, labrynth, and evenly matched / imperm being so popular royal decree is looking like a pretty decent side deck option this format. We still have a dinomorphia player at our locals too.
Or just play Solemn Judgment.

Again, specifically at my locals there are lots of players who like control strategies like traptrix and dinomorphia and labrynth, I'm not out here claiming that royal decree needs to be main decked at a ycs. Just saying there are a lot of traps right now in the format, more so than we've had in years.

@@CocTheElf you're siding it in for going first, it's not any slower than solemn judgement in that regard, and it's more impactful and easier to see going first at 3 than HFD is at 1... also duster is dead going first, you could brick on 3 royal decree and still auto win a game against a deck like dinomorphia / traptrix / labrynth

Believe Pak's locals is in NJ. Northeast has some of the strongest players/locals you'll find imo.
@@sauceploxx4565 so strong that they missplay all the game, like in na the player dont think just spend cash and think they are fine, na exept for some player is a nuts compare to europe, and you can say this beacuse last ycs 3vs3 there were only 2 euw team and they both do top so you can immagine the level.....
@@tommasobrandi7432 not every opponent will be the strongest player you'll face. Any body can just drop cash and still come up short on their gameplay as we've seen in formats like Nekroz where the deck was also like $1k+. I simply was stating that a lot of the names you recognize in top cuts exist on the Northeast. Granted, I wasn't grouping Europe in with NA, but just looking at NA communities as a whole. We also have a handful of good content creators on the cusp of Canada.

Love the VS System representation in the second round from the opponent
Definitely suggest picking up an Aussa for Iblee along with Judgments. Others for ED Id say Bagooska, Redoer, Dweller, and something for damage in Xyz or Link form are good options. Main wise its a great time for experimenting with PHHY cards like Beargram as a BLS with backrow protection and the Circle of Fairies engine for extra normal and Field Spell fodder since the Level 3 is a free summon with an Insect or Plant in grave. Currently trying them and Big Welcome for Silver Lady since its a recurrance card with the Dragoon protection clause thats live with Brigadine and Holetea activations and follow-up with Big Welcome in grave.
Beargramm looks bricky. Lord of the Heavenly Prison is a better pick. Also you could technically search floodgates with Lord and bounce them with Mantis.
I love traptrix. Been my favorite trap based deck for a while now.

according to my local's website, you get 2 OTS packs for registration($5 entry) and 8 PPH packs for first place. The big event is $30 registration(3 OTS pack) and big prize is a PPH booster box(basically about 24 packs).

After evenly matched, he didn't have a Kashtira monster on the field, but it was there when it was activated.
After Floodgate trap hole, the Kashtira was face down, but was face up when it activated.
