- Finally got a chance to make a video with my V and i'm really happy with the end result
the tapping, solo, and rhythms were all really difficult to get down but I think I nailed them!
I used:
Gibson 7 string Flying V
Sony Progressive HD handycam
Line 6 POD HD
Sony Vegas 8
Love the casual skyrim in the background! and the djent tone youve got is probably about the closest ive heard to the actual thing :)
Nice cover. I also have the rare Gibson 7 string V, hold on to yours they will be worth something!
thanks a lot!
Great! I have a v7, too. Bought it in Helsinki for around 1000 euros. Initially I had some problems with the nut, but I got it fixed. Somehow it is not the easiest guitar to approach. At first i was not able to get any other decent sounds out of it than aggressive distortion or clean sounds. Step by step it has become more versatile. Still it is not a jack of all sounds. But it is a great instrument and quite rare. So it has kind of its own personality. I love it!
right when the tapping started i had to hit like lol
Jw... how much was that 7 string gibson? it HAD to be a lot of money, and your gear is incredible... nice cover once again. that was awesome
Nice cover man! Hows the neck on the guitar. I want one but I have little fat fingers lol
I've got to apologize, you're roommate doesn't realize genius is just a few feet in front of him. Nice job.
I have one of these and I've never changed the strings. How do you do it? I've loosened the strings all the way but I can't seem to take them out that tiny hole. Any tips? All of them seem pretty stuck
how is this guitar. does it play well? I have a gibson explorer and i love him. I was looking into V's and particularly more strings than 6.
It played really well, the short scale length wasn't the best for tone but it felt really comfortable. But be cautious, you can't play a V sitting down like you can an explorer. You have to hold it differently and the transition can be weird. I'd recommend trying out a few V's at guitar center before you buy one
oh thats good info. I know that about the position when youre sitting the two legs of the v rest on your left knee if you are right handed. or sometimes your other leg so the body is more infront of your body for easier access to playing. When standing its no different its suspended by the guitar strap. I'm not too familiar with periphery but i've heard of them. This song is awesome and it shows that guitar kicking. ass.
Skyrim!
well I bought mine for $1,000, they usually sell new for about $1,300
but it's a discontinued guitar, so there's no telling how much it'll cost you in the next few years
man how much by Gibson ?
2 150 $ ?
Is that halo in the back?
Nope nvm skyrim
You got it 😉
