This is the absolutely bare minimum we deserve from them. I have absolutely zero sympathy for Turn 10. They blatantly lied in the marketing of the game, and now pretend to act shocked that we didn't positively respond to this half baked game's release. This is a game designed to FORCE you to play it, because they knew they had nothing in the game to make us WANT to play it.
The damage to Forza was caused by its marketing, which was full of false promises. Don't get me wrong, it can be enjoyable, but it's nothing like the hype created by the marketing. All that excitement and anticipation quickly turned into frustration. Players' emotions were initially at a peak with excitement, but then took a significant hit, reaching a low point in excitement. This is a harmful approach to treating the player base. The trailers looked ten times better; it was almost like deceiving us. Let's be real, Forza took a jab at GT7 for having their game with RT while on track, so we all knew this was meant to be better than GT. I thought, 'Wow, if they surpass GT7, they are going to create a monster of a game that will be a game-changer and we will have an amazing game.' However, it turned out to be far from the truth.
Not true as when I was looking at the game I was compiling a list of what they will ruin in the game as ever since Forza motorsports 2 they have been going down hill and ruing the game , And lol and behold when I got the streamers demo , I was shocked at how bad the game play is , worst game ever , the game was so bad I beat my record of saying fk in one minute on twitch and I wasent even trying to break my record though I am kind of proud to have beaten my record .
It's not just marketing dude. The game NEVER signs in the 1st time. Never remembers wheel settings. Sometimes forgets career progress. And has NO actual MOTORSPORTS despite the name
The whole press statement was full of nothingness, im not entirely sure how anyone can read that and see any positives or admission of any fault. - Terrible UI (in all regards). T10 seemingly don't employ any UX people at all. - Invisible cars in multiplayer - Same stale rotation of tracks every week in all Multiplayer hoppers - Track rotations in multiplayer result in the same track (with the same weather conditions) appearing at the same time everyday. If you can only play for an hour or two a day and you only really want to run in TCR or GT then you're stuck playing the same track in the rain for a week. - Who wants to play GT or TCR hoppers on short tracks - No longer race options that would require more than 1 pit stop - Poor balancing of meta/pay to win cars - No weather radar - Proximity arrows are appalling, a radar is needed BADLY - Inconsistent and overly harsh penalty system often wrongly assigning fault = More rammers and care free drivers as no consequence. - Inability to change fuel/tires pre-race EVERY Wednesday - Who wants to race GT cars on short format circuits instead of the full circuit? - Poor wheel support/setup - Skill based matchmaking non existent, presumably due to low player counts (which are probably a result of players trying multiplayer and getting smashed to bits) - Convoluted reporting system, why do i need to start messing about with another device if im on console and want to report a player? - Extremely poor AI in Single player - Pit stop glitch - Dry tyres often outperform wets on anything other than 'Thunderstorm' weather settings - MULTIPLAYER REPLAYS, why have they not worked since launch???
I’m an Xbox guy and have all the achievements in every Forza game up until this. But, haven’t managed to get into it. I find myself playing GT7 more, something I never thought.
Same. I played the OG Forza’s with my friends for thousands of hours however GT7 is the superior title imo. (Own Forza Motorsport 7 & Forza Motorsport on PC with wheel and pedals).
Same here, I've played every Forza since FM1 and have 100% completion on several Motorsport and Horizon games. I bought a PS5 a month ago, downloaded GT7, and haven't touched Forza since. Such a shame how my favorite series, the entire reason I've always gone Xbox over Sony, are shells of their former selves. I wish Halo still had that Halo 3 magic and Forza Motorsport still had the passion is had when Motorsport 4 was in the spot light.
The car progression system is the reason I quit this game. I’ve played every forza since the original but im an adult now With a kid and a job that I'm at 6 sometimes all 7 days a week. I don’t have time to grind out every single car I wanna fix up and race when i already have limited time. So I’ll just go play the games who don’t restrict you. This was a scum move to try and force more play time but all it does is make the game extremely stale and boring
I’m just wondering about what Xbox is up to. After FH5 dropped in player count I thought that this decade was gonna be the worst of Xbox, I really hope they don’t just quit the gaming market.
@@quebecpower978 I agree. That’s what it feels like, I want to switch to PS but I have exams coming up so after playing on my Xbox I’m done with gaming so there’s no point for me. It’s too late. I go to my friends houses and see their PlayStations and theyre soo cool. All my friends switched and the Gran Turismo movie was a banger. I couldn’t agree more with you.
I think it’s great that they are willing to continue to work on the game. I don’t have x-box but seeing how Automobilista and even GT7 since launch have made drastic improvements, this game ain’t going no where and def has a chance for a comeback.
Man they’re still going strong. Just added the new endurance prototypes and a new set of GT3 cars. A few months back added some badass vintage f1 cars and historic versions of tracks… physics changes, and more. Yes it’s awesome. Still needs a good ranked online racing system but it’s the go to for relaxed AI racing that’s for sure. Lobbies aren’t terrible.
How to fix: 1. Replace dolphin sounds (wheel screeching) 2. Have fixed tune/no tune online races 3. Replace all the old janky car models of old. Looks ugly in places. I now play ams2, tiny studio in Brazil, game is miles better. Originally I came for gt7, gt7 has a lot of polish but hardware holds it back for serious sim racing.
If you want to be honest don't say incredibly looking cars for models from FM2 and tracks that has almost no grass where even FH2 grass is more densed than this game! They should bring the graphics to their trailers when they stated with caps statement: ALL IN GAME 4K FOOTAGE! And now we have a blurry mess instead of RT reflections and flat dull picture instead of RTGI.
The CARPG system just doesn't make sense in this game currently and hurts the gameplay. If this game had an actual career mode instead of the lazy mess of a single player it currently has, the CARPG system would make more sense. The current system you race on a "builders cup" series, yet you can't build the car whatsoever until after the event is already completed. The Valkrie challenge had you doing wet races before you even had half the car points needed to buy wets, which literally makes no sense. I was behind the CARPG initially, and even though i had my doubts, at this point, it's ruining the game and needs to go. If this game had an actual career mode and atleast semi-competent A.I. I would actually play this game more often. Currently, the only reason I have to play is the FOMO of missing out on a car that's being recycled. I a Forza "fanboy" and OG FM veteran, but this game is so shallow. Its pretty to look at when the graphics aren't glitched and its the best racer on controller hands down. Outside of that, GT7 blows FM out of the water. I want this game to have a comeback, but things like no Nordschleife at launch make me lose hope, seeing nothing buy recycled content sucks, and having nothing to play for is killing this game. Don't even get me started on the missing community and social features, ot the FM1 car models, or the lack of Original FM tracks, and the bugs that are still reseting race progress or causing seizures from the spazing lighting effects. I'll be playing GT7 until they get this game out of beta phase, until then, ill on hop on to get the cars and play into the stupid FOMO trap.
Those are definitely issues, but I am disappointed in the lack of mention of the matchmaking system. As you pointed out, it throws you in a lobby right away. Lobbies are almost completely random, because it almost solely depends on when you join over a 25-35 minute period. Top players don't get matched with each other. I'm rated 4999, yet I'm still about 1-1.5 seconds off the top esports drivers, so the rating system itself ir borked. Most lobbies I'm the fastest guy by a second or two, and there is a spread many times of 7-12 seconds a lap in pace. I joined a race and backed out 5 straight times in a 2 minutes, a new lobby each time, 4 of them brand new with only a few players yet. The system just isn't working.
Jonathan, did you by chance receive any DR penalty for backing out of those lobbies? I’m just curious, because I’m still trying to figure out how they’re figuring these ratings.
@@michael_boss No. I think DR rating only takes a hit when you quit once the race starts. You can quit after qualifying without penalty. I a lot of the top drivers I've met ar doing it to test and tune cars because online conditions for rubber are different from freeplay/private. IE cars are 1-1.5 seconds faster a lap in Featured than in privateMP/Freeplay on a fully rubbered track.
@@Kaylos29 OK, thanks for letting me know that! There have been times where I’ve needed to back out before the race started, but I was a little bit leery to do it.
This game reminds me of the following: You go to your favorite restaurant that recently reopened. You ask for a table, and you get a prime spot - after you paid for it. Everything is polished and looks good. You look on the menu, but your favorite dish is gone. Matter of fact, most of the stuff is gone. You ask for a new dish and the answer is “Not today. Come back next week”. You order a new appetizer. Turns out to be ok, but it was lacking any kind of salt and pepper (who cooks without salt and pepper???). You order your main course. After 30 minutes, you ask where your food is. You are being ignored. After 45 minutes you ask again. You are being ignored. After 60 minutes and undercooked piece of something shows up with a smiling waiter “Voilá”. And he waddles off. After several tries, he shows up at your table and BAM!!! a freaking car hits you in the face. Unimpressed by what just happened, the waiter takes your food and waddles off into the kitchen to reheat it...That’s where we are right now. What MUST change? A: Apologize to their customers that this game has not been “from the ground up”. Maybe the 2023 Forza that they wanted to release was “built from the ground up”, but not the Forza we received. Maybe there could be a promise to all those who bought the game between then and now (or whatever), that they will receive a 50% discount on the next Forza (hopefully the “from the ground up one”). B: Get rid of the Car Level System. Put the driving experience first. Nothing sucks more than being stuck in a car that is under tuned and you must suffer during you gaming experience. That is not fun. C: For me the game runs stable. I think there are still some major bugs that need to be ironed out. Get working on those. That way you really show that this game is important to you. Don’t just shovel broken content on us. D: Improve the racing penalty system. I do believe it has a good amount of potential and you know what needs to be done. You can do it. E: Improve the AI. I know it is the “old engine”, but at least try. If you can pull something off like GT7 - awesome! If you can pull something off between Forza MS and GT7 - great! F: Give us content that we had in older Forza games - FOR FREE (don’t start any “Drifting DLC“ or “Drag DLC”-BS. You do that, and any credibility will be gone). You provide this for free and you’ll get back some of your customer’s respect. What do I WANT (for the next Forza)? G: Make the tuning system deeper. Add more tuning options. The strength of Forza is the “car building/tuning”-experience. If you are concerned about overcomplicating things - don’t. Just add to the system and give us two ways of tuning: Easy tuning and Advanced tuning. H: Get a single player racing school campaign. How to use the different racing systems, how to pass clean in a corner, straight, etc. How to learn a new track? How should a good tune feel? Don’t make it a mandatory tutorial. Consult with a real-life race driving school and you sure will win a “racing game of the year” price that you truly deserve. I: A better weather simulation - in the sky and on the track. The new standard is GT7 here. Here is a tip - for the new Forza. There is a Microsoft games studio called “Asobo”. The studio behind the massive comeback of the MS FlightSimulator. You manage to get parts of their weather simulation running in your new Forza, and you will beat ANY racing game when it comes to weather simulation (in the sky). J: What I believe is a strong point of Forza is the “car building/tuning” experience. Please add to this system. Make it deeper - like a public pool. Have easy option tuning and advanced tuning. L: Add to the racing/driving experience. I like the fact, that we now have three levels of TCS and SC “Off, Sport, On”. Please let us switch them without having to switch to the game menu. This would be some arcady way of simulating the modern GT cars with their on the fly TCS strength changes.
The problem is GT has always been that game. Forza was more of an arcade sim and for years now is trying to compete with GT. They should be fundamentally different games and stick to their strengths. Forza is a beautiful game and should have just evolved forward from there. Don't know why they are trying to compete with a solidified market. They are just ending up taking two steps backward.
I own every Motorsports game they have made. I said from the beginning the only way they could piss me off is to make the game grindy. The ONLY thing. Whomever thought that having to grind every car for HOURS to be able to upgrade it, needs to be relocated........to another company. Glitches, things needing patched, while not ideal are acceptable on a certain level. Big games today you expect a certain amount of, terrible design is another story.
Since Forza sees these comments or might see them, they need to know how they have gotten rid of their drifting player base with the upgrade system and the lack of upgrades themselves. Go back to Forza 7. The cars we used back then could be made into full on drift cars from low spec to pro style cars. Thats all gone now. The drifting wasnt the best in terms of being compared to Assetto but it brought it to console players in a good looking and feeling game. Its more than likely too late to get that player base back because most have got a PC and are drifting in assetto now. Also give us triple screen support lol I like immersion when racing. Fix the cockpit view too.
Thanks to UA-cam and its great content creators videos like this saved me time and money . Normally I would have ran to the store because the new Forza is out ! I saw the previous titles full of bugs and recycled nonsense from the launch and by the time the game is good it’s 3 years later. I watched a bunch of videos like this one and bought a Ps5 and Gran turismo 7 instead. It’s almost perfect !
This game missed the mark by a mile for me, also one issue not talked about is the car pass dlc 💩. If you're playing a competitive game which is what they want, dont add this into the mix, one car will come out and it'll be meta, but you'll have to pay for it.
I strongly agree. I only drive cockpit with a wheel and as hard as I try to drive clean I have hit other guys because I couldn’t see them or judge where they were. A radar is a must.
“What the hell is this? This is pants”. I don’t quite think those were the words I used. I nearly returned my G923 wheel and went for a different brand. I had to watch a bunch of videos - one of yours - to start dialing it in. From there I did a ton of iterative testing to find what was best for me. 100% would have liked to have something for a starting point in wheel settings that wasn’t PANTS. Even with its issues, I have enjoyed the game a a lot. I’m still learning how to be effective with the wheel. Hoping to upgrade to DD wheel in near future.
the most shameful part in my opinion was the difference in graphics between showcases and the actual game. They were showcasing the graphics more than the actual racing, and it turned out that they were worse than FM7. i have to play on 200% render resolution to make it look decent
Thats dumb to have the acces to everythings and now the game will be boring like the others before the FM 23. I think it should have something more within i mean sponsor for winning more money, new colors we never had befor and unique, new upgrade and more. Guys think to ugrade the game dont kill it we need to had more stuffs like this. See GT7 how they dont haven just only to buy a car to upgrade it and race. Now think about it to make that game alive and beat that GT7 out of the track. That this is our chance to make it like we wan it
They need to provide other elements to the offline experience. There are so many under-utilized cars in this game. The Builder's Cup should just be the intro. The next stage to be unlocked should be race cars, starting with the lower categories and then working up to the top classes. After all, the game is called "motorsport". Given the lack of upgrades available for race cars, more prize cars and money could be offered to compensate, gradually increasing as each level is unlocked. Aside from the usual race series that would logically come with this type of progression, they could also include specialty series, like ovals, endurance, vintage, classics, and more. They could even provide categories for upgraded cars to compete so we have somewhere to race the vehicles we've spent hours upgrading. I would love to run in a series with a bunch of maxed-out old touring cars, for example. They already have the cars to do all this, and should be easy to implement. They just need a few more tracks to flesh out the experience. I know other games have used similar formats, but Forza, in its current state, seems more like an extended demo than a fully functional AAA title. We also desperately need a custom championship tool that allows multi-class racing. This would open the game right up with endless possibilities. The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is right in front of me, but it's sitting behind a shop window, frustratingly out of reach. Which reminds me, when are we getting Sebring?🤞
I was looking forwards to buying the game/starting a MS game pass sub for it, but the car progression feature, or per car level grinding, made me sit out of the game. Also at launch it looked like another rush job recycling of the previous game, not quite the "from the ground up"... I'll consider buying it when it's ready. Voting with my wallet.
I agree with you. I didn’t want to say this as I was really excited to play this game as it would be my first ever motorsport game other than assetto corsa. However, the game did not meet my expectations. The new upgrade system seems exciting to me, but it is causing me to play the game way less. If they can make this game better, I would play it every day.
@@Channelisgone1 so much so that i was so pissed off at Turn10 that i bought a PS5 with GT7. I will never buy a game from Microsoft or Turn10 ever again.
My opinion is that the game is disappointing. When it came out I thought that I was the only one who was a bit disappointed, but then it spread all over the internet. I haven’t heard many people talk about this but I think that the game UI(specifically when you’re racing) looks too boring like you can’t change the speedometer to digital, and the HUD isn’t that clear and it could show a lot more info. I prefer GT7’s HUD way more. Keep in mind I have never played that game just watched videos. The AI needs fixing(we all know the problems) and online too. Like if I play with AI they’re too slow and if I play online, they’re(the players) too dirty. Glitches are fine for a new game it happens with many new games. The car progression just takes too long, credits would be much better. Think about it, do well in races-make your car better. Not drive your car for 3 hours to unlock upgrades. I don’t know if this is just me but on my Series S the graphics look bad and washed out. They don’t look as shiny as in the trailers, remember the hype for the graphics. I think this game has huge potential for a 2.0 if this game was meant to be as it was announced, it has the power and engine to be much better than where it currently is. A 2.0 version could take this game to a whole new level and defeat Gran TURISMO. We have to accept that the devs will take time in updating this game because at this time they were probably planning to develop Forza Horizon 6.
Straight up make SA active all the time. Even in single player. Then lock out multi until you hold an SA of a certain minimal level. Lose that SA and get locked back out of multi until you can get it back up. Of course the FRR needs to be fixed before that would be implemented
From someone who bought the biggest version of the game at launch with big hopes, i havent played more than 2 hours of it. Its disappointing for me knoeing i wanted to enjoy it badly but it doesnt bring me back to play one bit. Gran turismo is just too good to me
I want to love this game but it just looks really terrible on my Series S. Playing with my steering wheel (Thrustmaster TMX) it just doesn’t feel right compared to other games.
They need to make reporting really easy. And actually take them serious. If you get a lot of reports then start temp bans, lower skill ratings. They could even implement a lobbies players with heavy reports or get a lot of penalties. where they have to have a few clean races to participate in the normal events. Like they already do in the beginning.
Forza 2.0 is What is really needed. Along with the enhancements mentioned I also would love for them to work on custom tracks (not just real world tracks) and of course work on the graphical enhancements (rtgi or Wht ever it is)….I was really looking forward to this game since 2018 but so disappointed. Drive club was a mess at lunch and they turned it around and so was gt( to a certain extent)…feels like every damn game being launched these days is like a beta 😡
Motorsport has a better car list and more tracks grind need updating but i have both games i only play gt7 when adds new cars then i don't play again i stick to forza but the grinding for parts are terrible 1700 pts for racing tyres is mental it uses all your points and then can't be competitive its a mess
Looking at the way cars ram into each other is down to the attitude players have driving. To stop this the AI could momentery change the physics of the cars to how they react in a collision so they don't bounce off each other like balls on a pool table. So if a player decided the only way to overtake is by ramming the player off it would instead be like hitting a wall.
Okay, I get this game isn't perfect (or even good in some peoples eyes) but saying that this is admitting defeat is not fair. They have been honest about the situation and said they want to make changes to improve the game, isn't that what we want in gaming? We want developers to improve their game and listen to the community about what they like/dislike about the game, which seems to be exactly what they are doing!. I get that people want a perfect game from day one but that's just not realistic, these things take time and constant development over a long period of time to encourage longevity. GT7 had plenty of issues at launch if I remember rightly and given time they have been able to fix those issues. I wish people would stop bashing Forza just because its not a perfect game, if you don't enjoy it, don't play it, its really that simple. I have always enjoyed Forza games and will continue to do so and encourage any changes that improve the game
This is the only racing game where you need to be a rocket scientist to set up your sim wheel. I use the Moza R9, but the force feedback and car feel are just way off. Even when I try to play casually on a controller, I get bored before the first race is over. I've been playing Forza since the first installment. The community peaked and felt alive in FM4, with storefronts to follow tuners and designers, and public lobbies to hang out in and join whenever you wanted. It was the first introduction to sim steering, and it felt amazing on a wheel. They really need to go back and study that game.
i think on multiplayer races where there are not a lot of cars,,,,drivatar cars should be added to fill out the field,,,or a certain amount dravatar cars could be added to every multiplayer race
Good video! Ive been quite defensive of Forza but last week, out of nowhere, I had trouble getting into the game. For 2 days it just would not get past the sign in screen, I hadn't changed anything on my PC, played the game in the morning then when I went to play later in the day it just froze. I now have to start the game then open task manager then close it and the game then continues to load and finally after a few mins it opens. I paid £90 for the game and was hoping to invest in a Logitech Pro wheel and a rig but I'm delaying in doing so as Ive now lost heart in Forza, fingers crossed they get things sorted but it is good to know they are open to disccussions with people like yourself! Oh, as a side note, I do remember the previews of the game Turn 10 were releasing about the graphics being next gen, I spent £2500 upgrading my PC to take advantage of these new amazing graphics I was promised, personally I think the graphics are pretty meh! GT7 still looks miles better on an older, less powerful computer/PS5.
I wouldn’t give up on getting a pro wheel, I have one and love it. However, I wouldn’t get it for FM only, the driving physics are not good. Try ACC, for me, the feeling of the car and the handling are more controllable and it seems the other online drivers are more respectful and don’t just ram their way to the front. I am rooting for FM but for now I can’t take it seriously.
This is good news for everyone. I just hope Ten 10 and MS do as they say. I couldnt keep playing this as much as I wanted to, it is a awful game. GT7 instead, is just better in every single way.
I just figured out that the livery transfer feature from older Forza games is broken on PC, and only half works on console. I tested it last night. I have mostly played Forza Motorsport on PC. I decided to fire it up on my Series S last night to test it and the feature finally worked. The issue was that it is broken. The feature doesn't;t transfer the liveries in their entirety. Graphics and even colors are not consistent as well as the fact it doesn't;t load all of the liveries created from Forza Horizon 5 that a player published and shared in the game. No bueno. This is minor amojng other things that are more important. The CAR-PG level up every individual car nonsense has to go!!!!!
Props to them fur admitting the game needs some help. I’ve been having fun with the game, but it needs steering wheel presets. It needs a better replay system that allows you to save more videos and allow you to be able to spectate races
There has to be accountability for inappropriate driving, the current race regulations are not providing that. It cannot be considered a racing game as it was designed, if the players dont play as intended, for whatever reason. Your right it may be a meme in current form but if turn10 can find the correct solutions and promote more clean fair racing ethics, the game has a strong foundation for success. Otherwise it important to lead by example and not ram anyone that ram you, or you just lower yourself to there standards, always aiming to win without compromising any other drivers is the best way to win
I agree. I see it all the time where guys just ram their way, bouncing off other cars with no racing integrity just to get ahead. It leaves guys like me very frustrated because I care about a clean race (more important than winning) just to have my race ruined by some jackass pin balling his way to the front.
Could it be, that when they say „most dedicated players“ that they mean the ones that actually bought carpass? If so then the gamepass freeloaders will get carXP and the carpass players will get free upgrades?
I think the idea Turn10 came up with a good idea with the racing system but I think it should have been put into SP and also some racing modes. Give everyone the option to upgrades via cash. Race registrations is definitely a bug on the system and can spoil the experience. I've always been a fan of Turn10 games and losing the racing series will make them swing things back around again. With that said I'm not sure if they can do what Rare did with SOT and get players back onto the game. I feel it may need a relaunch in 6 to 12 months but luckily GamePass can help with this. Microsoft definitely need to get a grip of their 1st party's though as big names like Halo, Forza, Gears and more have definitely lost their way this generation.
Give everyone the option to upgrades via cash?? Why, so the game can become a massive p2w scandal?? They've ALREADY dug themselves a deep enough grave lmao
Hi, firstly, I think that' a good thing that they admit the game has issues they need to work on - And I think that, since they want telemetry from hi-level users, you (and some other 'youtubers') should provide yours, as well as your thoughts about what should be adressed - They can't have a accurate feedback from all of us, our vision is very different, but coming from more experienced user as yourself could help them - Let us give them a chance to improve the game in the next few months, it could take time, because some things are not as easy as they seem to be (matchmaking, penalties, AI etc.... ) - As far as I'm concerned, I'm not totally satisfied, but I like it enough to play it every day !
Props to Forza for admitting fault and committing to addressing the issues. Words only go so far so we will see. I’m enjoying the game and it has a really good foundation to be even better.
I'm glad you made this video. I think it's good that the developers are acknowledging the issues and are willing to look into and fix them. It's unfortunate that the game released in the state that it did, but its not too late for them to turn things around. I suspect a lot of hard work will be required, but its doable. And I am rooting for Turn 10! I want this game to succeed! But they really need to understand that trust is something that is slow to build and quick to fall apart! I fear a lot of damage has already been done, and the only way to redeem themselves is through hard work fixing a lot of these issues and as a result, a lot of online praise to bring a lot of the players back. And I totally agree about the wheel support. I was running this game fine on my Fanatec CSL Elite wheel base, but once I upgraded to a Simucube 2 Pro, the feedback is awful and I cannot for the life of me get it to feel right (I tried inverting FFB along with a plethora of other settings and still can't get it working right). I know this wheelbase is not officially supported, but I read somewhere that the API they use should work with it. As a result, this game has fallen to the roadside. If they can get it to work well with my base as well as many others (I understand that they wanted it to control very well on an xbox controller), this would help recuperate some players I suspect! They need to make sure the game runs equally well on controllers AND a very wide array of popular wheelbases IMO. So here's hoping that Turn 10 can really change things for the better and restore the damage that is done through redemptive efforts!
I love motorsport? , I have a Ps5 and Gt is great but it should be with 20 updates since launch so confused motorsport is great? To many PS Pony Only’s out there and not enough multi platform true gamers
when the cars touch and stick together like glue. that is the dumbest thing i have experienced. the effort it takes to unlock your car from the other is ridiculous. that needs to be fixed.
GT7 won by default. After GT7 spit me in the face with roulette tickets and tedious Cafe lectures, Team Green had everything lined up for a slam dunk. Unfortunately Team Green dropped the ball with a bad game with an even worse PC port. What a time to be alive!
I’m playing the very first Gran Turismo on original hardware and the very first Forza motorsport on the original hardware!!! I’m absolutely enjoying it, again 20+ years later!
I agree that penaltys aren't the biggest issue. It's match making, skill and safety ratings. What the purpose if they aren't actually putting skilled players together. Group crappy drivers and repeat offenders together and watch them pull each other down as they try and climb out of the echo chamber.
They need to add more modes that stop any upgrades where everyone is on an even playing field and no tuning because like myself I love Forza but online multiplayer is just a waste of time because you get in a race with an equal car as everyone else but people always seem to be able to leave you behind an sometimes even lap you. I’m not bad at the game I’ve played an owned all Forza games and enjoyed them more than this Forza, an also they need to bring back auctions for designers because we spend days on a top car design and all we get is a measly 100 credits or so 😂it’s a joke.
This sums up my Forza experience at the moment: spend 20 mins in practice, might tweak the setup but being aware that saving that setup might crash me back to the home screen... all for a 4 lap race, where selected medium tyres on a gt3 car are undriveable midway through the 4th Lap.... worse on some cars than others. There are still 637+ issues like that to correct, once they've done that theres a good game in there somewhere... or maybe they'll be on to FM9 before that ever happens.
@@WhiteCranK Yep, on certain cars soft goes for 2.5 laps, meds 3.5 and hards no more grip than sport tyres. If this was in anyway realistic a real life race weekend would need a literal skyscraper tall rubber mountain to see it through! Switchable compounds only make sense in a game for endurance length... here it is broken.
@@jwells2401 Well yeah, but if LeMans was like Forza then no car would be going much beyond lap 2 without needing to pit....and doing the same every 2 laps all night long. Or imagine an F1 race where they had to pit every 5 laps, it would be mayhem. An F1 soft might give up its best after a few laps in qually but they still don't fall of the cliff quite like Forza tyre wear. Some cars in the game seem to be bugged with accelerated tyre wear, try a Mclaren P1GTR at Rclass - shreds a set of mediums in 3 laps at some tracks while similar cars go many laps more. Obviously its scripted in the game, but I'd argue its stupid and broken for short duration...FM7 (and every other FM) did this better.
As someone who is playing forza and dedicated to it as a "sim" its not bad. I didnt mind having to set up my wheel settings but it would be nice to have some sorta pre set... it took a long time to dial the wheel in so it felt right (4 hours... ) now that it is where it should be my only complaints are the penalties system. It lacks sooo much accuracy. Id love to see more dq for those hitting other drivers on purpose.
Forza also needs to have default mappings for racing wheels that users can adjust to their liking. The default settings are horrible. GT7 and GT Sport just work plug and play with very little adjustment needed if any.
100%. I think it has really dissuaded some new wheel users. Took me a lot of effort to dial in my G923. I’ll get DD eventually, but i am going to need to start over on dialing in the wheel.
@@SystemsGuyMI they should have known that this would be a missed opportunity to get this wrong. I don't think they did enough homework. They did not focus on wheel users enough and that is costing them. The data should tell them that a lot of sim and simcade racers from their closest competitor would want to play or at the very least try this game. I have never seen so many people with racing wheels who make videos about this game, I don't quite understand how they messed this up.
I like the Spotlight series, but as a family man can only go on the line for about 1 1/2 hours a day, so have no chance of finishing in one session, so no chance of a reward for completion
Here me out on this one seeing as Codemaster shut down Slightly Mad Studios who use to make Project Cars so I think Microsoft and Turn 10 should grab some of the devs from that old studio to help work on forza even to this day I have to say Project 1 & 2 still some of the best racing games I have played
The graphics at the time were out of this world, but the physics just did my head in. I always felt like I had to be so careful of an impending spin that I wouldn't get the opportunity to correct.
I have been playing Forza since the first version was released on the 360. I think they need to revisit what made Forza great. The most fun was racing on the couch with friends or following some sort of exciting progress storyline like with Forza4 and Top Gear. That was leaps and bounds forward. From their they settled in and rode the success rather than innovate. I live in Africa and even though my kids and I played many games over the last 25 years, internet was never strong enough to play online so we created our own competitions. I think this is where Forza 7 succeeded (in part) by providing Rivals. A way that I could challenge myself against other from around the world, and more importantly, challenge my son. Our lap times across the classes are mostly around Nurburgring LoL but it is a way to challenge each other even though he travels the world. We have fibre now and I have tried the Horizon games. Fun but it gets boring because I still don't go online. I like to drive around and enjoy the cars. Would be awesome to have spitscreen in Horizon..just saying :) Forza 6 had better graphics than 7 in my opinion. Return Forza to the couch racers with controllers. I found it easier to control the cars in the OG forza where the left thumbstick could steer when you pushed the stick forward and then gently moved left or right from there to give input into how much steering was needed. Now you are constantly ticking left or right. AI in 7 is a joke. In unbeatable on Nurburgring, I set my PI down in a race to start at the back, then allow each car to start with a 1 second gap. I am then around 30 seconds behind the leader and I race to pass everyone within two laps. Generally I put my son's lap time in rivals up as a ghost and then try to beat his time in top of class. Online racing is a joke if UA-camrs are to be believed. Make the campaign and the grind fun and allow cars with great tunes and liveries to be auctioned according to how many kms they have covered and how many races they won. Make cars valuable and allow players to build relationships with their cars. Forza is a break from reality. A chance to drive cars you can only dream of. Forza Horizon can learn from Test Drive Unlimited but Motorsport should be just that. WTF is up with all the offroad vehicles in 7 with no where to drive them. More tracks, less bullshit cars. More real cars and exciting challenges. I hardly race with the wheel. I enjoy sitting on the couch racing with my kid or my friends. They forgot what gaming is about. No excitement. All about the tech. Like with Transformers, as they kept making more realistic versions, the storyline went backwards...cashcow wow factor over charecter development and sustainability. No matter the actors brought in, the wow is no longer there. Its the same robot with ray trasing along with a b rated script. Return to your roots and keep the good your have learned over time.
You’re so right about the wheel.. i guess specifically the g920. First time in i couldn’t touch the breaks with out locking up, ffb dam near tore my arms off in one car and didn’t feel a thing on the next one.. all over the place really. I still don’t have my settings down
From basic to advanced. Here we go. When racing in private multiplayer please show all the cars that are on the track at a minimum. We all buy a game to play with each other and I can’t even see them. Add all the tracks. Eight years to create a new game and we got less of everything… Make it easier for us to kick people out of a race ONLINE for bad sportsmanship. Maybe at the end of the race show replays and drivers vote who was wrong. Victims get final say. That person gets 15 min lock down of online racing. Stop with the trash body kits and wings. Shows no effort or appreciation of the cars. How would you feel if your high school car or dream car only came with a “forza bumper” when it’s just a “copy” and “paste” front lip. Programming laziness. Removing drifting was not it. Having drift suspension but no open locations to practice.
It’s impressive to me that they can make a game this incomplete after having 7 mainline games prior to this. Also Only 6 years in development
Gt7 is a brilliant game
GT7 blows forza out of the water....hands down GT7 is king!!
Assetto corsa much better then both game

Yeah. The Board and investors only care about high opening day sales. They order all this malarkey. Big publishers are where creative devs go to die.
- Invisible cars in multiplayer
- Same stale rotation of tracks every week in all Multiplayer hoppers
- Track rotations in multiplayer result in the same track (with the same weather conditions) appearing at the same time everyday. If you can only play for an hour or two a day and you only really want to run in TCR or GT then you're stuck playing the same track in the rain for a week.
- Who wants to play GT or TCR hoppers on short tracks
- No longer race options that would require more than 1 pit stop
- Poor balancing of meta/pay to win cars
- No weather radar
- Proximity arrows are appalling, a radar is needed BADLY
- Inconsistent and overly harsh penalty system often wrongly assigning fault = More rammers and care free drivers as no consequence.
- Inability to change fuel/tires pre-race EVERY Wednesday
- Who wants to race GT cars on short format circuits instead of the full circuit?
- Poor wheel support/setup
- Skill based matchmaking non existent, presumably due to low player counts (which are probably a result of players trying multiplayer and getting smashed to bits)
- Convoluted reporting system, why do i need to start messing about with another device if im on console and want to report a player?
- Extremely poor AI in Single player
- Pit stop glitch
- Dry tyres often outperform wets on anything other than 'Thunderstorm' weather settings
- MULTIPLAYER REPLAYS, why have they not worked since launch???
I feel exactly the same.
I agree I had high hopes for this game but literally went out and bought GT7 and a PS5 and I am playing GT7 more than Forza
Thank you Forza Motorsport, for being the first fully blind accessible racing game.
Racing game of the year is actualy the DECEPTION of the DECADE.
The biggest PR and marketing (bullshit) budget after Starfield for any racing game.
I’m just wondering about what Xbox is up to. After FH5 dropped in player count I thought that this decade was gonna be the worst of Xbox, I really hope they don’t just quit the gaming market.
@@Channelisgone1 Xbox is dead bro. They sat for wayyyyyy to long in that DEI meeting.

I think it’s great that they are willing to continue to work on the game. I don’t have x-box but seeing how Automobilista and even GT7 since launch have made drastic improvements, this game ain’t going no where and def has a chance for a comeback.
Have they done alot to automobilista 2? I haven't played it probably since shortly after release lol
@@tommykrissy6712 its a different game ..better sound, physic, AI ..better everything

Forza most recent “email” in game was amazing. “Want an endurance race? Make it yourself”.
The fact that this won GOTY should let us all know just how much weight award shows carry!
How to fix:
1. Replace dolphin sounds (wheel screeching)
2. Have fixed tune/no tune online races
There have been times where I’ve needed to back out before the race started, but I was a little bit leery to do it.
i found the freeplay racing to be better than multiplayer
I agree
This game reminds me of the following:
You go to your favorite restaurant that recently reopened.
You cant show the car that won le mans in 1966, in a video of the game its in admitting defeat, show the 330 p4
I have really liked this game so far. Must have missed all the cry-baby news!
Wheel input, AND pedals. One of you streamer folks really need to do a video about braking input in Forza. 5% or 100%, it makes little difference.
They also need to address and fix the Graphics, Car Sound, and Car Models
This game missed the mark by a mile for me, also one issue not talked about is the car pass dlc 💩. If you're playing a competitive game which is what they want, dont add this into the mix, one car will come out and it'll be meta, but you'll have to pay for it.
Get rid of proximity arrows and Implement a radar system!!
Just give us a proper radar for the love of gosh. I honestly think that would improve multiplayer by at least just a little bit.
I strongly agree. I only drive cockpit with a wheel and as hard as I try to drive clean I have hit other guys because I couldn’t see them or judge where they were. A radar is a must.
For the upgrades they should implement 2 game styles....casual (similar to older Forza games) and hardcore (the new system).
Nice to see your subs are going up and up and up ↗️
Motorsport is a MASSIVE failure.
That’s overstating it ALOT 🥱
You are a MASSIVE failure.
This is a really useful comment.
Lets see what they will do to this game over the year.
No they didn't 😂😂😂😂 Each driving game different, Plays different, handles different.I have both consoles and both games.
They are both great game's.
I really want Turn 10 to add 2 more decimals places to the time gap interval. Only one means you can't determine if your gaining during turns.
Some issues are. P AND X class open events go to cars need to be reduced
From someone who bought the biggest version of the game at launch with big hopes, i havent played more than 2 hours of it. Its disappointing for me knoeing i wanted to enjoy it badly but it doesnt bring me back to play one bit. Gran turismo is just too good to me
stfu im playing grid legends 🗿🗿🗿
They got clucked 😂
Biggest for me was the strange dolphin sounds ffb sensation in the corners to feedback the wheels.
The lack of tournament progression system, the lack of good rating system... all we get is playing single races online?! WtF
FOV is bad as well for triple monitors. And yes the lightness on the wheel, plus the understeery aero is something thathas to be addressed.
This coming from one of the game's most hardcore defenders is the schadenfreude I didn't know I needed today.
Polyphony Digital never had to go on an Apology Tour 👍
This is the only racing game where you need to be a rocket scientist to set up your sim wheel. I use the Moza R9, but the force feedback and car feel are just way off. Even when I try to play casually on a controller, I get bored before the first race is over. I've been playing Forza since the first installment. The community peaked and felt alive in FM4, with storefronts to follow tuners and designers, and public lobbies to hang out in and join whenever you wanted. It was the first introduction to sim steering, and it felt amazing on a wheel. They really need to go back and study that game.
I think you need to invert force feedback on Moza
@@Kireth Oh trust me. I have tried everything.
They should concentrate on the Multiplayer is the best part of the game I enjoy tc and gt3
i think on multiplayer races where there are not a lot of cars,,,,drivatar cars should be added to fill out the field,,,or a certain amount dravatar cars could be added to every multiplayer race
I hope someone suggests that to the developers,,,,last race I did Monday night had only 5 cars
You could have bought a PS5 and the wheel for 2000$. It is useless to play catch up with PCs anymore...
Hoping for GT7 on PC
Just get assetto corsa with evoluzione mod
RACING GAME OF THE YEAR, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... what a fricking joke.
Props to them fur admitting the game needs some help. I’ve been having fun with the game, but it needs steering wheel presets. It needs a better replay system that allows you to save more videos and allow you to be able to spectate races
Really enjoying the game so far can’t wait for more
There has to be accountability for inappropriate driving, the current race regulations are not providing that.
Why no replays in multiplayer? This has not been created for pc i haven't touched this on pc
We want split screen pls
They need to fix the driving physics overall. Make it more like GT7. Simple.
when the cars touch and stick together like glue. that is the dumbest thing i have experienced.
the effort it takes to unlock your car from the other is ridiculous. that needs to be fixed.
GT7 won by default.
After GT7 spit me in the face with roulette tickets and tedious Cafe lectures, Team Green had everything lined up for a slam dunk. Unfortunately Team Green dropped the ball with a bad game with an even worse PC port. What a time to be alive!
New dad, I get to do one or so online races a day... To not be able to have a competive car because I haven't done the mileage is insane
I told you this in your last live stream about how it's gonna be GT7 level in a couple months
Don't forget that the soft tyres often aren't lasting long enough for a qualification lol...
What do you mean? Don’t the real life race teams bring a thousand set of tires for the 24 hr of LeMans? 😂 😂
They need a hardcore mode online! Stuck in cockpit pov and full damage as well as revised penalties!
Wtf do you mean two similar games ones a carpg and the others collecting cars
Forza's dev should not give up so easily I want to see forza beat GT7 and wipe the smirk off of kaz
GT7 is the future of great racing games ,this started when Gt1 on ps1 launched.
I like the Spotlight series, but as a family man can only go on the line for about 1 1/2 hours a day, so have no chance of finishing in one session, so no chance of a reward for completion
👍
GT is the better title 🍿🍿🍿
Super
Would be awesome to have spitscreen in Horizon..just saying :)
Forza 6 had better graphics than 7 in my opinion.
Forza has done to Motorsport 2023 what battlefield did to 2042, glad to see that they are addressing these issues.
You’re so right about the wheel.. i guess specifically the g920. First time in i couldn’t touch the breaks with out locking up, ffb dam near tore my arms off in one car and didn’t feel a thing on the next one.. all over the place really. I still don’t have my settings down
If a g920 nearly torn your arms off you should hit the gym bro...
Lol, i'm still laughing
I use a g920 and apart from the whole arms off thing, the brakes and lock up issue is spot on. Forza needs to improve their physics for braking.
From basic to advanced. Here we go.
When racing in private multiplayer please show all the cars that are on the track at a minimum. We all buy a game to play with each other and I can’t even see them.
Add all the tracks. Eight years to create a new game and we got less of everything…
Make it easier for us to kick people out of a race ONLINE for bad sportsmanship.
