Tnx for uploading.I wanna back in 1993 to be a child again,it brings to my mind great times ,playin' all through the night with my brother even if there was school on the next day
Guys you can buy the Simon games on gog . com :) I remember finding it in a bargain bin years ago and fell in love with it and this tune imparticular. Love the scenery :)
This is the MIDI version... only difference is it's been played back through an MT32 instead a soundblaster, which is what most people would remember from the game. Simon the sorcerer supported both the MT32 and the soundblaster, and in fact the music was composed on an MT32.
Yes, that is what I mean. Not being very rich, I only owned a sb16 compatible card, and on scummvm you need a special ROM to play the MT32. That made me think that the MT-32 was some sort of expensive external device, like a Roland SC-55. In any case yes, I prefer the lower quality MIDI emulation mode with stock DOS instruments, probably due to the nostalgia factor, as I understand this is of superior quality. Maybe if I had a MT32 as a kid, that would change
Indeed, the MT32 is an external device.. it was the precursor to the SC-55. I as well had an sb16 growing up and never heard an MT32 until I was in my twenties and bought one used. Now having heard devices like the MT32 and SC-55, I could never go back to the fm sound of the sound blaster. That being said, the sound blaster never sounded bad per se. Funny how tastes differ, but as they say beauty(in this case auditory beauty) is in the ear of the beholder. You like the sound blaster sound better and I respect that.
so many great memories from this game....I still whistle this song every now and then ;)
Me too...
About twice a month il get this in my head
Same here!!
Same...
Makes me feel like a kid again.

best game
Played it on ipad and the enhanced version of this music is awesome! This Version is great too.
It is funny how I prefer the MIDI version, even if this one seems superior. Might be the nostalgia factor...
