Extremely helpful video! This channel is quickly becoming my go-to channel for useful, accurate and reliable information. Plus, you're a fellow Canadian . . . and that's freaking awesome.
Best comment ever! Thank you. Definitely try my best to make useful videos!!!
You're welcome. Keep it up. Your efforts are very much appreciated!@@EmpoweredPara
@@morgancalvi6675 which parts specifically?
Another very useful video! I had no idea that any Canadian car rental company offered vehicles with hand controls & spinner knobs. Good to know. Thank you Brittney for doing all this research!
You're welcome!
They don't cost more to rent. All the companies put the adaptive driving devices in at no charge.
@@EmpoweredPara And I like that sooo much! Sometimes Accessibility and Inclusiveness is evident, and that fills my soul.
I wondered this after watching that old video. Thank you for doing this!
Super handy. Thank you so much for this.
Great information 😊
Awesome info. Thank you!❤
You are so welcome!
That seems like good info, here in Spain we've adapted taxies and the car rental companies use to have some adapted vehicles, a percentage, usually vans; but i don't really know the conditions or options in case someone wants to come and visit.
nice 1 Britteny.
Please make a video on exercises which you do?
Having a portable set of hand controls is a good idea. I have a set and have used them. They are easy to install. They just clamp on to the pedals.
Just tried some today!!! Gonna get a set.
@@EmpoweredPara Awesome 👍👍👍
I feel like adapted vehicles (ramp vehicles especially) should take precedence over other vehicles in repair shops because they are not easily rentable.
I agree that all adapted vehicles should take priority, and I only regret that I no longer have the influence I once had.
That would be amazing!
@@EmpoweredParaI hadn’t thought about this since I retired. I can no longer just make “The Phone Call”. Sorry.
Curious how did you decide on hand control when you first started driving? I still need help in transferring but eventually I would like to drive eventually
I didn't really choose. My dad did, and I just got used to the ones he chose. I was still a teenager when I learned to drive and I think the options were limited back then.
What about paratransit services and taxi cab for mobility impaired persons?
Those services are very specific based on where you live so I would't be able to do a very useful video on that!
Just curious, are your accessibility laws federal, or Provincial?
I'm not actually sure! I think Provincial
@@EmpoweredPara I was just talking to a friend in NZ who said over there until recently they were federal mandates.
She is deaf and said even at grocery stores they must provide a way to be able to communicate both ways.
Less hand movement would be appreciated!!!
If you dont like it if she uses her hands then just dont watch her videos. Or would you like it if someone tells you to use your mouth less
Thanks for having my back!
@@EmpoweredPara I am disabled myself and hate people complaining about crap.
