sir . my s6 edge only turn on usb. it only show battry 100% and sometimes it boot normally(on usb only accept 5v 1A charger) . when I unplug the usb it just turn off. what could it be?
Rough as guts repair. Why not put a new protection diode in. It is a part of the phone. So now next time there is a problem no protection so mother board get damaged. Lot more expense than a new diode.

That small Surface Mount Component was a fuse
