I think bands here in Europe are more open to experiment with music, styles and different instruments, also many countries have a huge folk and medieval music scene and bands combining als these styles. Haggard is combining heavy metal with classic music, Eluveitie is combining (death) metal with folk music, Electric Cowboy are combining metalcore with EBM. Thats great!
