- I really felt a laid back track with these drums and just went with what came out of me. Real simple, southern groove. I’m thinking of turning this one into a full track, as I have some things to say and this song seems to say it. Thank you as always for your support.
Tones
2000 Gibson Explorer Neural DSP’s Nameless X, Omega Granophyre & Archetypes Gojira, Petrucci, and Plini for the various guitar layers.
1973 (?) Gibson Ripper Bass plus Neural DSP’s Parallax for bass tones.
I used Ola Englund’s “The One” Impulse Response on the above.
This is an original composition. All instrumental parts were written and played by Josh of Wyrm on the Moon, as part of Ola Englund’s weekly riff challenge; he provides the drums, we write and play the rest!

Guitars:
2000 Gibson Explorer
2000 Washburn Southwestern (acoustic)
2021 Fender Stratocaster Professional 2
2022 Schecter E-1 FR S Special Edition
2023 Solar E2.6FBB-27 Baritone
1973 (?) Gibson Ripper Bass (not sure of exact year; Gibson’s serial number system in the 70s were God awful)

Sounds like a movie theme, Amazing entry Josh once again you made an incredible work !!!!!! 👏👏👏
Thank you, brother! This one, while incredibly simple, felt special. I think I'm going to pay more attention to that feeling than trying to complicate stuff. Hope you're well!
Yes, you must do a full-trak, I can feel this one coming-on. Well-Done!
Thank you so much!!
Love some good old southern fried metal! 🤘🔥🤘
The secret recipe is extra lard!

Dude. I mean...yes. all yes.
Bro. I mean... Thank you. All thank you!!!!
So cool!! Reminds me of volbeat 🤘🔥🤘
hey man, thank you so much!
Nice one Josh, i really like this little melody in the intro and that comes back in differents places on the track. Very progressive pièce, well done my Friend 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Hey thanks, Steven! That melody actually started during the end piece, and I liked it so much that I adapted it for each section (other than the one) to be present yet slightly different.
Awesome buddy! Those chugs and breakdowns are my favorite. The leads are also so very well made. CHeers!
Thanks man! I got to get a little chug going somewhere even in a song like this!
Awesome groove to bang your head! Very cool riffing brother! 🤘🤘🤘
Thank you kindly, my brother!
This was a blast! Felt like an epic Clint Eastwood stand-off, complete with sweat, suspense and action! Great playing and cool riffs! Really liked this one, Josh!
Yeah man! I'm picturing Roland of Gilead (whom Steven King described as a young Clint Eastwood) but now all grown and old. Thanks brother!
Love how you handled the second drum section! Great riffs 🤘🤘🤘
Thanks Z! Originally I was doing something different, and then I matched the pattern exactly... decided a little of both worked better in the long run. That'll end up being the verse section, feels like.
Awesome track bro! Love your continuing groove! Well done my friend! 🤘🔥
Thank you so much, man. This one's turning into a full song.
@@WyrmOnTheMoon Looking forward to hear the full version! 🙂🤘
Nice work Josh!
Hey thanks, man.
That's some brutal riffage with killer production bro. It's a bit like Load era Metallica without the ridiculous outfits 😊
Thanks man!
