- With all the craziness happening in our world, this topic has been on my mind for almost a year, and I truly feel like it is the most important thing we can teach our children. Whether we homeschool or not, every Christian parent should be incorporating these principles into their homes. Times will only get tougher and we all need to step up now to instruct our children wisely. I pray this video is a blessing and encouragement to you!

It seems that the Holy Spirit is moving and bringing a fresh desire for Believers to be honest with Him and lean into sanctification and repentance - we are numbering our days. ❤️
I needed this SO MUCH. I have felt frozen in choosing the last part of my girls curriculum (ages 9 and 12.) I’ve prayed and asked for guidance. I knew right away that this was it. Thank you so much! ❤
@@hollyalong2780 that’s so encouraging to hear 🥰
Preach it, friend!!
Thank you for sharing what the Lord has put on your heart. It is absolutely important for our children to be able to logically understand reasons to believe that the Bible is true and I think that you were clear and passionate. We are in Canada and a lot of the public curriculum and policies are not good.
I love this. My daughter asks such pointed questions. One being, "If the Bible is so important, why dont we ever read it." When she was 4. She is now going into 2nd grade. YES! Children are sharp and perceptive. Ha! Needless to say, my husband and I immediately (and gradually) have added Bible reading individually and as a family. It has been life changing. Having a relationship with Jesus and showing/sharing it with my children has been such a joy and privilege. The Holy Spirit used my daughter's simple question to spark what has become essentialin our home. Beginningand endingour day in God's Word. We read through the new testament in the morning and old testament at night with my husband. Between each old testament book we read proverbs.
I am so grateful for the correction. Just yesterday, my 5 year old son was reading his Bible. I look forward to growing all of our faith more and being unashamed and unafraid to raise my children christian.
This year we are adding Foundational truths Catechism, as well as Rachel from 7 in All's History of the English Bible. My kids are 1st and 2nd. As they grow we'll add more.
Thank you for this wonderful video and sharing your resources.
@@RosalindReloj thats so powerful! What a beautiful testimony. Thanks for sharing that blessing, I’m touched ❤️
I will say that my father in law has taught me that no matter how much we know about God, kids don’t stay in the faith when they have not encountered God for themselves. I’m teaching them the things and I’m praying for those encounters that root you.
@@kayegenin123 yes i mentioned that several times in the video 😊
Generations curriculum is so good! They are still kinda new to me but I bought their 2nd grade history for my son this year and bought the high school world history just so I could read it! I was public schooled so learning history with God being the center of it is so awesome!
thank you
We're making apologetics a priority too. We rotate what Bible studies we use, and are starting apologetics Mondays. Our first book is "Doubting Toward Faith". The author has a UA-cam channel too.
The Cold Case Christianity author has two other books for kids as well as free videos and worksheets that go with them.
I watch apologists on UA-cam daily to deepen my understanding. J. Warner Wallace is my favorite.
@@CP-fo5sy awesome! Thanks for sharing that!
YES!👏 My husband and I have been feeling convicted in this same way. I bought Foundations in Faith, an apologetics course for families, to go through this year. These conversations with our children are so, so important!
I have to say this is my favorite topic to hear from your videos and I personally would love to see more. I have known for my family that Christian apologetics is the most important things to teach my children in conjunction with Biblical Truth and knowledge. A huge shout out to you on this video. And Masterbooks excells at Christian Apologetics. Also just starting using Generations for History and their Christian Apologetics looks amazing also.
@@Blessedwithmightyarrows thanks so much for the encouragement and kind words. Yes masterbooks has SO many options!
9:30 Definitely agree!!! I also like that my church is a small group based church. My 12 year old had her own small group that meets every Sunday afternoon. With an adult supervision but it’s the preteens that facilitate the their group and taking spiritual responsibility for each other. It’s so beautiful to watch. Plus the addition with how we live it out at home .😊
@@Vic_Johnson that’s amazing! So cool to hear that!
We just started Case For Christ this past week and I love it. Will definitely do the others in the series too.
Yes, I have been feeling this same exact thing in my heart too. I purchased an apologetics course and fallacy detective too.❤🙏
@@stephaniebraden3677 that’s awesome!
Thank you for speaking from your heart on this. From one mama heart to another I felt everything you were saying. It is so wonderful to hear other mom's speaking about this.
Great content, so true !! This is in my heart too.
Totally agree with you that this is so important!!!
Your prayers were answered for me. It was very encouraging and helpful. Thank you for this video. Thank you for your channel. I have been with you for most of your channel’s life.
@@readingbliss2954 thanks so much for being here, truly. I appreciate it so much. I’m glad it was helpful 😊
Yes!!!! I love this! I firmly believe all Christian homeschoolers need apologetics as well in these times. And all times honestly. We need evidence outside the Bible to win people over to Christ and well as proof in why we do believe in Him. This video has me hyped! I love answers in genesis! We are currently on year 3. Would love to look into this once we are done with year 4!
@@BaudelaireOrphan1 yes 🙏❤️
Yes agree! Thank you for the book recommendations! I will definitely buy some for my kiddos!
The book mama bear apologetics! Oh my lanta. Opened my eyes to so much. Great resource.
You are 💯 right. Its ultimately between God and them. It can be so scary as a parent.
I have 5 kids age 19 down to 6 and if i can say anything encouraging at all is to not be afraid to talk about other religions. What the differences are. This way they truly know what they believe in and why. There is no need to hude them for fear of them turning away becsuse they can learn on their own what isnt right and ultimately it always comes back to Christ ❤❤
Great video! It is hands down the most important subject 👏 😊
@@donnabolt5847 mama bear apologetics was the first book I read a couple years ago that really opened my eyes! The second was really good too, although some of the statistics were so heartbreaking and hard to listen to.
Yes! I say the same about mythology. We ALL need to learn about these things as they are NOT just ancient beliefs. They are all around us if you know what to look for. It's kind of terrifying, actually.
Us 80’s and 90’s kids are seeing now what we had missed learning! No apologetics or ANY church history.
@@Sanna727 ooh yes church history, adding that one too!
I think it's ok to say that the proverbs are descriptive, & not proscriptive.
Another mom at a homeschooling convention (& most of her children had graduated) advised me to teach apologetics. I think teaching catechisms & the verses that they are based on help too.
Such an encouraging video! 🥰
Thanks for sharing. This is very important!
Love this so much!! So much truth in what you said. I feel the same way about giving our kids tools and equipped to stand on their own and in this world! ❤️❤️
Wonderfully said! 🎉 thank you for sharing that!
@@honeyb384 thank you!
Agree with you! I could have wrote this myself as it's exactly how I've been feeling too! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for this video! I want to recommend generations curriculum as well! They have great sound curriculum and get deep into apologetics. Especially in high school years! 😊
@@amandamendoza4181 thank you! I’ve heard a lot about generations the last year or so. Do you happen to know if it’s reformed or not? I thought I heard it was but from the research I’ve done, I haven’t been able tell definitively.
Thank you so much for sharing!!
Love this video! While it's not necessarily "apologetics" we're working through some faith-based character building books this school year and wanted to share the recommendations: Created For Work and Boyhood and Beyond both by Bob Schultz. While these are directed at "young men", I think they can apply to anyone. I don't have any sons. Short chapters with discussion questions at the end of each. And while not a Christian book, friends with similar values recently recommended "The Essential 55" by Ron Clark and we plan to start that one soon as well. Though some chapters won't apply to homeschoolers. I look forward to seeing what else you incorporate for apologetics and character building this year, and the years to come!
