What Kaiserslatuern didd in 1998 was the stuff of legends. They got promoted to the Bundesliga in 1997. Dortmund won the UCL, Schalke won the UEFA Cup and Bayern won the Bundesliga in 1997. Yet Kaiserlsatuern shocked the world by winning the Bundesliga, despite having these 3 clubs who are defending champions in Europe and Bundesliga, respectively.
Kaiserslatuern's coach went on to manage Greece and won the Euros as well in 2004.
Insane to see that some of winning teams like Red Star 1991, Manchester United 1999, Italy 2006, and Inter Milan 2010 as an underdogs.
They really deserved the winners because of the good team at that time.
