    Never get tired of hearing this song. First heard it performed by June Tabor and Old Blind Dogs, two very different versions but both riveting. This, another excellent version.

    Nice version! Great voice and nice take on the song. I loved The Corries version and it's probably one of my favorite songs of all time. I never get tired of hearing different versions of it. Thank you and keep up the good work! Cheers :)

      You really have a great voice. I can imagine you would sound great singing "Green Fields of France", "Christmas in the Trenches" and "The Water is Wide". I've heard a number of versions of the Water is Wide but Runrig stands out with a nice version of it. Hope to see more in the future! :))
