Did u have any major problems? I am about to buy 2011 insignia with 116k miles on the clock. I wonder if this hand parking is ok? Because its just a button?

I own the Buick version of this car.
It is a 2011 and was built in Germany.
I have 174k miles on it and it still drives and runs like new.
It has never failed to start and has never left me stranded .
I have just placed a order for a Buick Regal Tour X which is a rebadged Opel Insignia.
I have also owned a couple of Opel based Saturn and Cadillac models and in all they have given excellent service.

Shame they didn't notice the oil pick up seal that fails and has made a lot of engines scrap.

Yeah it sure worried me but I decided to buy a second hand one now and because I know I will just change it every 100k kms to keep from dropping the oil pressure and ruining the engine

I've driven the 1.8 as a courtesy car was very under powered. I own a 2.0 cdti, and it much better suited for the weight of the car. The m32 gearbox is OK in my opinion much better improvements on past vaxuhall gear boxes

@@domc5895 Why would you say that? The 1.8 is one of the most reliable engines. I agree that it's underpowered due to the car weight, but very few issues with it.

Rubbish, do not buy this piece of crap . Looks good but looks can be deceiving. Nice to drive.
    Diesel is terrible.
Dual mass Flywheel failure = 1000 Euro and might be changed a couple of times as they fail regularly.🤔
Blocked dpf =1200 Euro for new one, you can have it taken out and remapped= 350 Euro but it's not legal, you can get it cleaned but might not fix it =200 Euro. 😡
Oil pump failure, engine starved of oil = new engine 2000- 3000 Euro.😠
    Turbo failure = 700 Euro😱
    Wheel speed sensor failure=40
    Euro many times😣
Sticking brake calipers and hand brake= over heated and ruined bearings =180 EUro each. 😭
Several limp mode issues caused by sensor failures which will require many diagnostic checks = 30 -100 Euro each, etc....... you have been warned. 😩
    🚗💣💥👍

Bro I got a turbo with installation for 175 euro you got scammed also I got the dpf warning and just drove on the high way with high revs for 10 mins (5 euro worth of 2022 fuel) and error went away just had the oil pump O ring changed when I bought it second hand for 250 euro so you got scammed basically. Also I had limp mode but used an obd scanner checked code it was Turbo overspin which I mentioned the swap of earlier

GM is getting dirty habits from Fiat on the making money from spare parts racket as they work together when GM owned fiat.

    • @antseanbheanbocht4993
      @antseanbheanbocht4993 2 роки тому +1

@@balancemaster The Dpf will not clear eventually, it's a Common fault and will be in limp mode all the time, 300 cut out and remapped. Common issue.
I think you're lying about the turbo because you can't just fit any old turbo, it has to be professionally balanced by turbo experts, if it wasn't you took a cheap risky option. I don't do that.
It's not the O ring that was the problem, the crank shaft bearing goes regular in these engines, i know a Polish guy makes his living from recondtioning just these engines. Common fault.
Work in my country is expensive but the car was a lot newer than it is now. More expensive to fix in early stages.
It's clear you've bought a piece of shit, that's OK if it was cheap. I paid good money because the cars were new and fixes weren't cheap.
Oil pump failure is another issue, it didn't happen to mine.
