My fave song from Metal Galaxy album....The lyrics of this song is so full of positivity.... When Su tells you "Its gonna be ok, alright" it just feels right....When its raining, just take a break, don't look back just keep moving forward, tomorrow is a brand new day. The shadow dancing choreo is so awesome.😁🤘🦊🤘
Metal Galaxy is a wonderful album and full of surprise, you're gonna find many more like this with more mature sound.
Like you said, this song got the collaboration of Polyphia guitarists, Tim Henson and Scott LePage. Polyphia got a viral clip when they were performing live and having an issue with the drummer IEM not working and a roadie help him out in a unorthodox way to save the show, very funny clip.
Tim Henson also said when listening this song that he would love to play this song along with BabyMetal on the stage, he didn't knew the final cut when he was doing the riffs on this song.
The dance on this song is beautiful and graceful, they're showing another mature side and more complicated choreography. According to MoaMetal is the hardest song to dance along with BxMxC and Night Night Burn iirc.
Song is inspired on certain "City Pop" band and Utada Hikaru songs, when SuMetal heard this she doubt about this being a metal song but then the guitars solo were added and all make senses suddenly.
This is a live compilation of two shows Legend Metal Galaxy 2020 and 10 BabyMetal Budokan 2021, the girls love the 2021 version, you can appreciate the dance choreo a lot more rather than only silhouettes in the 2020 version.

Great reaction. Definitely one of the less obviously metal songs in their catalogue, but it is so uplifting and hopeful ... when Su tells me "Its going to be okay, alright" I have no choice but to believe her.
They have a few other collaborations (there were at least 5 including this one with Tim Henson and Scott LePage on the Metal Galaxy album).
You guys need to check out the new live performance where they finally perform with Scott and Tim!

This video is a fan made compilation from two shows mixing pro shots and fancams. "Brand New Day" has been so far performed only 3 times on stage. Very fortunately I witnessed all of them. Please say "Lucky you!" ヽ(^o^)丿Especially its world premiere on Jan.25, 2020 was stunning. Normally BABYMETAL fans would like to see the girls' charming facial expressions clearly as well as their dance moves. But we could see only their silhouettes that time and .... that was enough. Kami Band's paly was full of elegance, figures of Moa & Riho were exquisite and, more importantly, Su's voice had celestial beauty. And two performances done on Day-7 & 8 of 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN concerts in 2021 were also beautiful with Momoko. I would like BM to perform this song again with Momometal who is now official 3rd member.

If I remember correctly, Tim said: it feels like a Polyphia song with Japanese vocals.
He also revealed about how they worked with Babymetal, basically he got a track which still needed guitar parts and which had Su-metal or similar, as a place holder.
And he worked hard on it and send it in and it was directly accepted, just as he wanted it.
They didn't get to hear the final version until the release.
It’s probably odd that Babymetal from Japan introduced me to a home town band in Dallas area a few years ago. I respect both bands and their talent. Polyphia has also collaborated with, or inspired other Japanese groups. I use this song as an introduction to Japanese groups, where the listener isn’t necessarily a fan of metal.
If Su had been a J-pop singer, she might have looked like this.

@@gothorn2758 i think much of it was logistics. Plus, at fox_fest 2024, the Babymetal team had 100% control over the experience on both nights. They could make the recordings in the exact way they wished, with a sound system properly tuned to make everyone involved shine live 🙂

Nice reaction. This falls into the lighter side of the Metal Galaxy album but still carries their strong positive message. Maybe one of their most positive songs. all about how you can go on. Start by taking it step by step. The click even help keep time for you. Since this is after Yui left I often wonder if some of these lyrics were said to them and now they spread that hope to others. Babymetal has some other hidden gems. It might not be the top requested songs but all of their songs really are good. They have one song they never performed from this same album. Many of us fans hoped they would perform it during their 10 years of Babymetal shows at the Budokan. But it didn't happen. That is BBAB. there is no music video for it either. So sad. It's kind of become the forgotten song. I enjoy it every time it comes up on my play list. Uki Uki Midnight an early song of theirs is also another song that doesn't get much attention. And there are both performance videos and a music video for this song. And they even did a Babymetal reacts to Babymetal video for this song. I wish they did some more of those. They did that for their early music videos. That's fun stuff to react to as well. As you get some behind the scene stuff and get a feel for their personalities and how they interact with each other. All part of how deep the foxhole goes. Enjoy the journey.

I hope you've watched the newly released Brand New Day video with Scott and Tim live at Fox_Fest :-) Su sounds even better in the new version.
So, at the Aftershock festival in Sacramento, they announced a pretty stacked lineup. Expecially for the Saturday, the list is:
"Saturday (October 7th) will see Korn headlining a lineup featuring Pantera, 311, Corey Taylor, Parkway Drive, BABYMETAL, Polyphia, Dethklok, Avatar, Fever 333, The Amity Affliction, Sleep Token, Escape the Fate, and others."
Seeing as Babymetal and Polyphia are just one next the other, we are hoping that they could play this song together!! :D
As fans, we were a bit disappointed that during this Sabaton supporting tour, BM and Sabaton never played live together "Oh!Majinai!", it looks like a missed opportunity!

Absolutely one of my top 5 BabyMetal songs. Suzuka’s vocals, the choreography and the guitar riffs are all on point.
I think there are more great BabyMetal LIVE songs/performances out there that I do not you haven’t reacted to yet.

This is a 4 year old song. While I agree that this isn't their best work, there are plenty of songs released on the same album as this one and on the 2022 album that are all great. Nothing "happened" with the writing. 🤷♂
Subjective. And just like all negative comments, no substantive theory on why it's "boring", just blind accusations and speculation. Brand New Day is beautiful and is one of their more poppier songs, which if you look at their discography, they have way less pop sounding songs then metal. Opinions are fine, but without context, you're just hating.

I disagree completely. This is the standout track on Metal Galaxy IMO, and that is saying something considering how amazingly strong that whole album is. The song structure, the guitar work, the vocals, and even the choreo are all just top shelf. I love this track.
Funny enough, Tim said in a stream with Herman Li that he only had to send their guitar recordings once and they were perfect :) This is not one of my favourite BM songs but it is a good one nonetheless. Glad you liked it! 🤘🔥🦊
