That Sezane room reads "modern chinoiserie" to me, because of the golden art work, jewel tones, lux velvet juxtaposed with neutral grass cloth wallpaper. My mom's house has a similar feel. Large Chinese watercolor of pond/waterfowl on the wall, the colors of which appear in the room: late mid-century modern camel colored L-couch, red velvet accent chair, wood coffee table similar to color of your new console, brass accent lamp.
And Hey Tina I love all the furniture! You DID ask about how to lighten up the kitchen and if you look at the kitchen from the living room, where you can see the bar chairs facing the kitchen?,… it would lighten it up IF the frames of bar chairs were actually the lighter wood tone that you said they come in,.. similar to your console. Just try setting some kind of lighter wood in front of the bar and you’ll see what I’m talking about. I still love the ones you have though. I’m sooooo hss as ooh for you two!
Hi Tina. The style of Sezane's home is Mid-Century Modern mixed in with Art Deco. Her walls and ceiling coves are more Art Nouveau which is what most Parisian homes are. Her seating and furniture, esp the leaf lamp, are art deco but that style bookshelf and jewel earth tones are a staple in midcentury. It's my fave style too. I love the warmth and textures you can add to make a cozy home.
if you want to change the cabinets in the kitchen, you can wrap them in colored contact paper or cover them in contact paper and paint that. Super renter-friendly and can totally change the look of your kitchen.
You can wrap your cabinets with contact paper (make sure you buy a durable/washable one) and look at videos of how it’s done, it’s actually pretty amazing! Unless you are allowed to paint them. If so I’d definitely paint!!! You can also do the countertop (which you have done in the past) oh one more thing, I have never seen anyone wrap the inside of their cabinets, but i would do that because it would just look that much more real
Love everything you’ve done……..can’t wait for the rest !!!!! Congrats to you and Brian for closing, and the new place …….Take care and Thanks for sharing!!!!!❣️😊❣️😊❣️
Tina on the wall behind you would make a gorgeous gallery wall. And the wall going up the stairs.. I'm so excited for you!! I'm dreaming about when I get my own place!! Xxoo
Loving that console, the doors 😍 and that chair is so stylish. I would be tempted to do the bedroom soon so you could have a little relaxing retreat after a day of diys.
Hello the new home is coming along nicely, the TV console is absolutely stunning. Congratulations on the new chapter in y’all’s lives. GOD Bless and yes I definitely excited to see everything that you have planned for your new home. 🙏🏾🥰💖💯💫
It's going to be so much fun to see what you guys do with this new space. I'm sure you will come up with a way to warm up the kitchen by covering the dark gray!
I also wouldn't bring my old furniture with if I could receive these beautiful new pieces. Sometimes I consider becoming a youtuber just too receive furniture from Castlery 🤭 I love all the pieces you've selected.
This is going to be so fun to see how you decorate. I was thinking staining the wooden frame; however, if you like mixed wood tones, that's great! As you stated, waiting until the wallpaper is up to decide. Is your TV the kind that you can show different scenery! That would be so wonderful!! Congratulations! On selling your home! I love how Brian showed a bit of excitement!!! 😅 Enjoy your day!!
If you're into maximulism then you could put a like goldenrod on the walls, but if you like minimalism, then keep the walls as is, so the transition can be a little smoother. Although imo, goldenrod/mustard walls with white, or cream, accents would look amazing.
Congratulations on selling your house! It is fun seeing all the pieces you’ve selected to go with your design vision and seeing how you put it all together. Go Girl!😍
I think you should leave the frame as is. I also have grey walls in my apartment that I cant pain, so I’ve warmed it up by mixing wood tones all over! So excited to see what you come up with for this space! ❤️
I am so thrilled for for the two of you.🎉 A blank canvas; a diy'ers dream. 😊 Tina how does it feel going up stairs to your workplace instead of downstairs?
Oh gosh Tina, this new place of yours is so pretty, and I am so excited to see all of the DIYs that you are going to be doing. So awesome you sold that beautiful house of yours and this one is so awesome as well. I really love all of the furniture that you got those barstools are really gorgeous, and so is the new sofa and also that TV stand, that is so awesome looking and I really love the style of it as well. You and your husband are so great at all that you do and create. Thanks so much again, wishing you a beautiful and restful day, sending love and hugs, bye! 👋👍😍😊💜
The TV frame matches the stools you got. I like it in that light wood finish. Your living room is coming along nicely! Are you going to do fabric blinds or curtains?
Quick change in the kitchen- try a warmer light temperature in the fixtures to "de-gray" the space a bit. Can't wait to see your new space as you rework it! Congratulations on a smooth closing on your Chicago house, too.
Hey Tina Congrats to you both! I was going to suggest staining the frame until you said, "Don't mind the mix of wood colors." So, perhaps after putting up the wallpaper, then you can decide what's best.
Congrats on the new house. How fun to be able to just buy things you want or be given them for a new house!! Not a fan of the chair but everything else looks great!
Good. Admittedly, your choices appear to be more modern and the colours less intense than the Suzanne Guiguichon inspo😉. Congrats on your new digs. Cheers.
Omg I love the new furniture, especially the tv console aaaahhh had I not built one for myself, I would be shopping for something very similar 🤣 Slowly but surely your place will turn into a home and I can’t wait to see it 😍
Wonderful so far❤😊work bench asap. I need to build a user friendly work bench on wheels with place on back to hand tools. Can’t wait to see what you come up with❤😊
Tina, by looking at your mood board you need to unfuse a lot of color. I wish I could see the wallpaper. Painting the rest of the walls a taupe color or whatever beige would match the wallpaper would warm up the feeling and you can cover those grey cabinets with a really good contact paper from Amazon in either a color or design for a warmer feel too.
Maybe you can use peel & stick well paper & back splash in your kitchen to bring in other colors to neutralize the grey Love the new place ♥️Can’t wait to see what magic you create ‼️‼️‼️😬
What about adding fabric like wall paper around the kitchen in a warm rusty color? I think that something earth toned and red toned (rusty) would look beautiful with the grey kitchen. I think the grey can work if you give in to a moody atmosphere. Instead of taking away the grey. Replace the white parts with colour!

I guess putting some rub and buff and/or black details after light staining would add more depth to the plain wood for the frame?
Already feeling like home ❤ So many new memories are on the way and we can’t wait to share it with y’all 🎉
Love Tina's excitement. .... looking forward to her home projects

Can wait to see what you come up with!!! You got this Tina and house-painter extraordinaire Brian!!!
Loving that console, the doors 😍 and that chair is so stylish. I would be tempted to do the bedroom soon so you could have a little relaxing retreat after a day of diys.
You should paint the kitchen cabinets a green color to bring your favorite color into the home and its also so homey
I am OBSESSED with the color palette for the living room!!! Can't wait to see the continued progress.

if you paint the kitchen bricks a warm color, the grey might also appear warmer
So excited to see what else you do with your new blank canvas/home!
Can’t wait to see wallpaper and the finished product 🎉congratulations on sale of your house

Sezane home looks like a moody japandi style to me. Love!

Hey Tina
Congrats to you both! I was going to suggest staining the frame until you said, "Don't mind the mix of wood colors." So, perhaps after putting up the wallpaper, then you can decide what's best.
Love the lighting in your new home. Can't wait to see how the framed television turns out.

Nice start! I am sure you will bring some more colour and warmth.. cushions, plants, rugs, wall hangings ❤
Congratulations, you are both sooo cute! Love the furniture! The TV frame would look soo good in the walnut to match the side board! J/s
The frame would be a good place for green!
Good. Admittedly, your choices appear to be more modern and the colours less intense than the Suzanne Guiguichon inspo😉. Congrats on your new digs. Cheers.
the pattern on the artwork looks like chinoiserie, if that helps at all? i'm obsessed with it ~
Omg I love the new furniture, especially the tv console aaaahhh had I not built one for myself, I would be shopping for something very similar 🤣 Slowly but surely your place will turn into a home and I can’t wait to see it 😍

Whoa, there's a closet in your garage area; don't remember it from the initial walk through. That will be great storage for the work station.
Congratulations on your new home I know you will make it sooooo beautiful.
I like it all.
Hey Tina! Could you PLEASE tell me where your plates/ dinnerware is from?! I’m looking for that exact style.
Tina, by looking at your mood board you need to unfuse a lot of color. I wish I could see the wallpaper. 👍🏻🤩🏡🤎👏👏bravo pour la nouvelle maison coucou de.belgique 👍🏻🙏
I wouldn’t like to be a UA-camr but in saying that the amount of free stuff they get is insane. Would save you thousands!

Big floor plants because you get a lot of light all day
Great start to the new place! .... but.... I thought you said you were going to do the bedroom first this time? 🤔😝
That was the plan, but I am having a hard time choosing the right pieces for it 🙈🙈 So living room it is!! Hehe
