With my moms passing yesterday I will be playing a rewind from episode 820. One of my favorite witnesses. SC EP:820 I Thought I Shot A Man Spoke to the eyewitness and he said “In 1981 I was in North Louisiana and I came across this creature. He came from around a tree that was about 6 feet from me and we stared at each other.
I wasn’t sure what it was but I could tell by his facial expressions he was mad and working himself up to attack me. I shot it and I know it was a lung shot. I could describe every detail about him. This has weighed on me for the last 40 years, I have only told one person about it. It bothers me that I shot but from the way it was acting I thought it was him or me.”

Best I've ever heard. This man is so believable, now I've not seen one but I heard one late one night, and I've lived in the country and woods all my life and I know what I heard that night, so yes I believe in them.

This is about my fifth time in the past year or so listeing to this story and if you're not a believer, then this is definitely the definitive story to listen to.. Out of eight hundred plus stories this is definitely the one.

There was one about the land between the lakes of the actual boy who saw most of his family get killed that was pretty creepy. He said one bodies were found in any trees and that is 100% BS. If you can find the witness account from the boy and them flying him home afterwards, is the story to listen to!!!!!!!!
If its true, one of the best recountings of a Sasquatch encounter, because he lived to tell it.
I've listened to this man's encounter more than any other & it's by far the most in-depth & amazing one on UA-cam...I'm so glad he got this off his chest and does feel better now. God bless him🙏

I remember when this story was told on the Sasquatch Chronicles podcast quite a few months ago. There were people that are members there that were quite upset that this gentleman had killed the creature. What else could he do with the creature hooting and hollering getting ready to grab him? It is sad that some of these people who think that these creatures are the “guardian of the forest” do not value human life as much as they do the life of some unknown cryptid that has been evading being found by humans for hundreds of years. If it had been a big hog there getting ready to attack him and he shot it no one would care but because it was standing on two feet and covered with hair these people think that he should have let the monster rip him apart. Strange.

What episode on SC was the one where the couple on their Anniversary took an alternate way home through land between the lakes. They were so terrified by this encounter he started crying while telling it. Wes has been my favorite Cryptid Podcaster to date. .

Yeah. Lost my mom 09-03-22 and dad on 12-14-22. I still find myself crying over them the little time i have to myself driving to work most days. And im 47 now. Nothing prepares your heart for losing mom & dad. 😢

Loved this, best I've heard. Getting ready to listen to it again. Most believable recount I've ever heard. Since you couldn't see it's lips it may have been showing it's teeth instead of smiling.

This is just so sad to me.
I was on Facebook earlier tonight. I was feeling attacked cause there were several trolls on the Sasquatch page i was on. They were going after everyone for believing and calling us liars. Then i heard thus recounting. I had to rewind and listen twice. So thankful for the page and group. Wes is awesome and thank everyone who shares their experiences. I don't feel alone with you guys . I saw one in 2021.

Great encounter story! David sounds very genuine and realistic. What an aweful thing to have on your mind, however, it could have been the other way around. I wonder if the creature could have made a noise, if he would have called out to his comrads? David is so blessed to not have had retalliatiion! Hell that sounds so dam scary! Even if I was 100% sure it was a man, some 8ft naked dude 600lbs pops out from a tree working himself into a blood lust I still would have pulled the trigger! Poor fella telling the story sounds like the nicest guy you’d ever come across.

I had some incounters about 20 years ago wham I use to hunt in Washington State in Winthrop. We use to pack in with a outfitters!!
I read a book by Dr York where he talked about bigfoot. He said that the Taliban Afghanistan arabs were related to bibfoot creatures. This book i read was in 1993
Without his second amendment rights, that story would have ended very differently indeed. A superb episode.

I feel bad for both involved. Of course the man had no idea what the Sasquatches intentions are, and defended himself. But we don't know what it was doing. Could it have been "working up a bloodlust"? We don't know. I imagine seeing something like a full grown Bigfoot for the first time, without any kind of idea about cryptids, I could see any kind of behavior something like that would do could come off as "a blood lust" jus from the amount of fear you would be experiencing looking at it for the first time.
No we don’t know what that being was going to do, this man explained that this beings eyes glazed over and it seemed partly aroused whilst peeing, whilst working himself up, to what? making gruffing sounds whilst looking up as though thanking the lord for giving him such a gift, he must have been eye level looking down the eye of the creatures shaft…Brothers and sisters, I am really sorry but just the thought of this thing standing only feet in front of me and standing over 7.5ft tall, 43 stone, abdomen lean and hard, built like a sprinter on steroids, then there is no way that he should be turning his back and bending over to touch my toes for nobody! No, No, sir, the thought is mind blowing, you’ve heard of the film ‘BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN? Yes this creature would have broken your back and bent ya and you would not have left that place without being Mounted’ this eye witness had no choice other than to do what he did, I don’t want to know what they are, or imagine guttural sounds of ‘Who’s your Daddy?’ I can only depict things not ending well, let’s leave it there..

I'm sorry, but, as a retired LEO,. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE, retains that level of detail about an assailant! We are lucky to get the right hair color or level of facial hair by the victim about their assailant. The body prepairs you for " fight or flight." Your body surges adrenaline and sends blood to your muscles etc, it does not give you photographic levels of memory, most people get "tunnel vision."
That said... this man tells a wonderful story! He is very likeable and very entertaining! I found this to be one of the most enjoyable stories I've listened to. I really wish I could believe this was true but, his extreme description during a life or death moment in time, make this totally unbelievable.

Las Vegas Sasquatch is an interesting kind too, a business kind, the same as New York's. And of course the Texas Sasquatch with their hats, they are everywhere if you know where to look.
I’d suggest you look at satellite images of Louisiana. There’s more than enough food, water, and forests to support them here. I also know 3 people personally that have seen one, and none if them thought they actually existed prior to their encounters.
After listening very carefully to this encounter, this guy most definitely shot a human. It was clearly a fisherman just getting off of work and probably had spanish moss all over from climbing up the bank. Im 100% certain that it was not and could not be a sasquatch as the person this guy murdered was my dad.

How do you know what this being was going to do? Do you know and understand what type of living thing this was? Have you ever encountered in close proximity, such a thing standing over 7ft tall at over 600lbs, please explain their behaviours and how we should interpret the behavioural signals? As I am totally intrigued and all ears, please explain the glazed eyes and what the huffing may of meant ? Have you ever been bitten by a dog at any point in your life? If so do you remember the behaviour the moment before it decided to bite? Please explain…,
Really,,,,what wld you have done?!?! You can’t think straight when you are scared to death. The Sasquatch towered over him, think abt the strength of this animal. Sasquatch is an animal.
