Friends of mine and I try this challenge with two small changes. One is you can skip a level based purely on it's description, only once during a run. And if you die you can keep playing only if you do not get any 1ups from that point forward. With these mods we have had two runs completed.
This is really clever, I like how it immediately turns to 1up avoidance - having to stomp all the enemy spam at the end of a level one at a time before taking the flag pole and having to run away from mushrooms just adds a whole new death race to the run. And that way, you can still keep score too.
I don't know what the issue is, but something about your stream videos doesn't seem to be working on my end. I normally watch videos through youtube on my Switch, but every time I try to load this video and a few of your other recent streams, the video hangs on a black screen after around 5 minutes and refuses to play. I also get this issue on my desktop computer. I don't know if it's something to do with the type of ads running on your video or not, but I haven't experienced this with any other videos on youtube. I think it's something with the ads, because I got it to play an ad once right before the video went black but I can't get it to play past that point.
Late to comment, but one of the reasons there is less pure garbage in MM2 is the way the game curates levels. With the boo button added levels that get large amounts of boos are not being played often. Pretty sure kids are still making the same garbage levels today lol
Super Mario Maker levels aren't randomly picked as you go? I would've thought you would've gotten different levels afterwards because you would've beaten that level faster.
i get you like challenging yourself and doing a "deathless" run is appealing. Just not for me, somehow i enjoy watching someone play through the levels, and this content does not do that.
