Props to PSG for going 5 games against BLG a top seed from LPL, Biggest flex for them. PSG becoming the unknown whahaha
They have 3 long term LPL veterans in mid (SN, LNG), jungle (EGD), and bot (RNG) lol. This isnt a reasonable showing of "pcs being strong". This is LPL with extra steps at this point lol. Good job and decent playing from them of course but keep it grounded. Competition is good for everyone

I feel like the main reason why they were really good is because most of the players knew what they were gonna be up against since LPL has just that playstyle. If PSG can also hold strong against the LCK that means they are just a great team and just let NA and EU go home

I don't know why but it's crazy to me Betty is only 24 and has only been so for around 4 months. I remember him being around in 2017 MSI on that infamous FW team alongside Karsa, SwordArt and Maple, the others are now all around 27-28. Dude's been around for a while and if he keeps playing like this he'll hit that 10 years playing professionally on an internationally competitive level.
Pretty sure after that amazing performance some huge teams are gonna keep their eyes on him

Me too i understand they bqnned kalista renata so they dont get match with varus renata but then again they could've just played Lucian nami against it to match engage with disengage and kill threat, for mid i really hope he played asol there not only would've asol stopped a kindred pick but even if xun still picked it asol would've been a heavy factor, for top jungle with the vi ban i expected a sejuani with a xin ban so they get priority in push and threat for top ksante would've been fair, overall ggs for 5 games the last one was a draft diff.

It's all calculated, they threw game 5 on purpose to avoid T1 and powerup through lower bracket before they face them in finals
Now you say it, it felt like they just tried to see if they had a chance at beating LPL top seed (they have) then threw game 5 draft so they can just chill in the lower bracket while BLG faces every other strong team. I see no other reason why their game 5 draft was such an int.

@@randomlylove3983 not really scripted but more like a high-risk strategy they could pull-off because of the double elim format. They lose on purpose so they chill fighting weaker teams in the lower bracket while BLG takes out other strong teams in the upper bracket. High-risk because purposefully goin into the lower bracket means another loss and they go home.
Not saying it's what they did, it's completely possible that PSG just threw hard, but it's the most probable explanation considering how god awful that game 5 draft is.

Before today the people on PCS were so desperate because our region were playing so bad these years on international stage. But now we are so proud of them ! We give their performance over 100! G2 can win against TES but overall the chances are still in favor of the lpl team while Geng is another story. I think that maybe G2 can win 1 or 2 ( being super optimistic)games but i don't think they can win against them :/ . We Will see how they do against T1
Most of the people (PCS) in here thought it would be a EZ 3:0 for BLG or a 3:1 if we're extremely lucky, no one thought it would be that close.
And I cried 3 times in this series, after the 2nd game, the end in 4th game when we knew we're actually gonna play game 5, and the end in the last game:
for the last few minutes in final game, chats didn't say "wtf are you playing", "don't go to the airport, swim back, that's easy for you guys", "just stay there and don't come back", "(PCS team) is daigou, they can't compete and always lose in MSI/Worlds, our region is suck"... just like what they did in the last few years when our team lost, I saw "gg", "they rly do their best", "HBD!" (For Azhi), "they're the champ in my heart", "great job", "don't worry, we still have a chance"... which is I rarely seen in these years.
I don't know if I can see any of these underdog performances in the next match or even the next couple of years, but I'm glad to know we can see such a crazy full BO5 with the major regions.
Though psg lost, It was such a huge SERIES.

I'd love to see how PSG would do in NA or EU. They are clearly the strongest of the minor region teams and have well-known veteran players. They'd also just keep improving from playing against stronger opponents. They could easily win NA in my opinion and compete heavily in EU. We saw how they cleared FlyQuest.
Suddenly FQ's first win and then loss against PSG aren't looking too bad.

I know people will downplay Blg but.. to be fair it's Blg's first series in the Msi. This series was like a warm up for them, and they were a bit shaky as a result of likely nerves. On the other hand PSG is a lot more used to this by now as they've played a few series prior in MSI already. I think that's also why Gen g looked 'weak' against Fnatic. I think going forward Blg will ramp up heavily in the tournament just like Gen g. Dont underestimate the big teams.
