I just took a Bur- Vegas flight a couple of days ago. It’s really simple .Drawbacks are if you rent a car you need to take an UBER to the rental car area and back .That being said if you don’t have the rental car problem it’s a great way to fly.
Right when you check in at the front desk you will drop your bags off. They’ll tag them and load them onto the plane. Upon arrival, the bags will be offloaded and set outside the aircraft for passengers to pick up. That’s how it worked for me in San Diego and Las Vegas. Other airports may differ.

That sounds like a hassle. You'd think JSX would offer a shuttle for passengers.
Can you give more details on how they checked your luggage and how one retrieves it?
