When traumatic experiences occur at a young age. You're forced to grow up a lot quicker. He carries himself like man, yet I hope he can retain some childish innocence. I was forced to grow up quick and being an adult is not nearly as fun as being a kid . I wish him well.
Thank you all for your lovely comments, it means the world honestly. Also, thank you Jack and Stevie for giving me a platform to share my story. It's been a hard year, but if you really believe in something, you can go out there and get it. x
I lost my dad last year. I was 25, he'd been poorly for a while, and although it's never an easy thing to go through, at least we got to prepare... and it absolutely destroyed me. for this lad to lose his dad in such shocking circumstances, at 16 and go on to do what he's done is unbelievable. what a man.
To listen to this and then think about what Laurence was saying doing nothing but slag this event off just makes everything Laurence was saying 10x worse. Spencer is a pure legend with clearly a heart of gold. Laurence is just way too elitist and egotistical to understand that and it’s sad.
Tbf to him, I think he was just joking around to try and have banter, it seemed like it was meant to be innocuous. He probably didn't even know what the event was for, or the backstory, so lets not jump to conclusions.
However, it did come across badly, Laurence isn't good with humour tbh, I've never found him funny, whether he tries or not. He might just have a shit sense of humour, I don't think he was trying to offend anyone.
What an amazing kid! No ego or arrogance about him. Just seems like such a level headed and lovely guy with the smarts and business brain to match. This kid will go far in life and his dad will be so so proud of him!

What a heartwarming story. My mum died when I was 14 so I really feel for him. Really nice lad, bags of personality and very humble. Well done Spencer and co - you've made the worst thing a bit better and that is priceless 👏❤
I didn't watch the clash of creators event and had honestly never heard of/seen Callum or his content before but I'm genuinely beyond shocked at how beautifully spoken he is, the way he speaks about what happened to his dad and mental health, as well as how he's handled himself is outstanding! I'll definitely be following his content in the future - big respect!
I had no idea who Callum was before this video, but he deserves a lot of credit for everything he has done but also how he carries himself. I lost my dad from a very similar situation out of the blue and it’s the hardest thing to take even as a 30 year old - to be this mature and to do what he did at 16-17 years old!!! Fair play to him, massive respect! All the best to him and his family
What a nice kid mature beyond his years. Good on you Jack for calling Laurence out for his bizzare comments, I must admit I never used to be a fan of you back in the day Jack but you’re actually one of the good guys on here. Keep the content flowing my man 👍🏻
Callum, absolute props to you! I lost my dad last year at the age of 20, the same way, woke up planning to go and see him, only to get a call from my mum that he had passed! Amazing lad, should be so proud of yourself, not a touch of an ego or arrogance throughout the peace! Congrats on clash, your dads one very proud angel!
Relate so much to this young lad, I was on rugby tour couple of years ago and whilst I was away my dad passed of a heart attack, great to see what he’s doing
His dad did an amazing job raising a young man with a great head on his shoulders and humble as hell too. God bless wish him nothing but success and happiness
People have been trying to drag Spencer down for years, probably because of the popularity of Hashtag and what he has achieved with Wembley cup etc., but he seems like a down to earth genuine person. Fair play
Callum seems a genuinely decent guy and the gift from the Hashtag team was a really nice gesture. People like him putting good things out into the world are who deserve all the recognition and encouragement. Keep up the good work Callum! x
What an incredible young man, I’ve seen Callum many times at hashtag. But hearing him speak what an amazing man the world needs more people like him. Your dad will be super proud 🙌🏻
Lawrence needs to watch this. Such a shame he behaved like he did. I’d hope he’s embarrassed and apologies as I’m certainly embarrassed for him. Continuous upsetting comments that would make others feel bad, at a Mental Heath awareness event. The irony 🤦🏻. Sad.
@Elite420Gaming. Oh yeah how dare I judge someone for making snide comments and putting down the work of a 16 year old who's dad passed away. Anyone is allowed to judge someone if what they have done is clearly wrong.
Basing an opinion on what Lawrence said, an opinion that 87 other people (so far) agree with. Maybe you should go and watch the other video first 😂. I can tell you’re part of the woke brigade 🤦🏻
I lost my dad this year too, difference is im 30 and ended up putting holes in a door, this lad created a charity and ran a sponsored charity event. Fair play! I'll take a page from his book.
Callum what an amazing young lad you are your dad will be so proud of you and you should be proud of yourself as well and am deeply sorry for your loss. Unfortunately i lost my wife on Christmas Day 2021 as on the 23rd of November she took a heart attack as well at the age of 40 and i had to do cpr on her for 6 minutes until the paramedics arrived and that was the hardest day of my life because her heart had actually stopped for over an hour and it wasnt until they got her to the hospital that they finally managed to get her heart restarted and was rushed to get heart surgery done which was successful but all the damage had already been done because her heart had been stopped for over an hour her brain was was starved of blood and oxygen etc so she suffered severe brain damage which there was no coming back from unfortunately and the doctors said that she wouldnt last 2 days but she fought till Christmas Day and died on Christmas Day which was her absolute favourite day of the year so to me it felt like she wanted to leave us on that day with it being her favourite day and i miss her so much every day of my life and always will. The reason i tell this story is because i have a son who was 17 when his mum passed away so not much older than you when ur dad passed away and unfortunately he has gone down the wrong road and he moved out as he got his own flat and he has turned to smoking cannabis and its got to the point he is reliant on it and is a very very heavy smoker of it and no matter how hard i try be there for him etc he doesnt even bother with me anymore he doesnt care about me anymore and doesnt even speak to me anymore and all he cares about is his heavy cannabis smoking and his girlfriend which hurts so much as i have gone from being in such a lovely happy family to now being so alone and living on my own and its absolutely breaking my heart, so i just want to say well done to you for taking the positives and the correct road etc after your dad passing away and everyone is so proud of you so please keep it up as you have such a great and amazing future a head of you.

I don't mean this as a dig in anyway but when he said "you don't get this at any other club" isn't true loads of non league teams have great atmospheres but people just don't see it as its not on TV. Respect to hashtag though
There’s 2 people on this earth, those like Spencer, who see an opportunity to do good, for free, with no side effects because he can, as well as be a joy to the earth while doing it. And then there are those who sit behind a camera and criticise those who dare to do good, while doing nothing themselves, I hope Laurence can learn to be a Spencer and understand there are things that don’t need to be criticised or to be subject to sarcastic bullying. Im all for jokes but as Jack said, Laurence is funnier than that.
Not gonna lie, that “proper family vibes” you got from going to a Hashtag game is the same you’d get at any (or most) non league clubs mate. The whole point is that non-league, semi-pro team is a community hub where the players, the staff, the fans all know each other and being a part of their local team - that’s the beauty of non-league football, your team is your family and your community, with no big sponsors branding, usually the sponsors are local businesses as well all chipping in to run their local team as a passion. So Hashtag being a family vibe, is nothing new to non-league football. Nice touch from the lads to help Callum after his dad passing and getting him a new set-up, that was sound
