Pin trading is the most fun hobby associated with Disneyland! I’ve been collecting since 2001/2002. I must say, now is some of the best of times for trading because SO MANY people are into the hobby now! I truly believe this hobby is “the more the merrier” because it’s an experience to be shared 🥰 I love love meeting new traders/ collectors, interacting with CMs & the trivia!!! The “hunt” in the park is also some of the most thrilling of feelings 😂
Why? Because it’s the best hobby, I mean lifestyle, ever! Oh I slowly got my friend very into pins and now I have a local pin event to hit up events 😌 I love your point about it just being such a fun collectible. I have been a collector since day 1 so it was inevitable. It’s true it never ends haha
Great info here! One suggestion for future pin traders would be to have a secondary collection for days when the boards are boo-boo, I started the alphabet collection figuring I'd randomly see them around. I have my usual favorite pins I keep an eye out for too though. I also seek good karma by leaving good traders on the boo-boo boards.
Getting in to pins trading if you are a shy person it helps you to open up when you talk to others about pins or looking for a pins that someone else has and you say that’s a nice epic where did you find it and they can tell you what board they found it on .. i love the hunt too...
Merida gave Aladdin a twig, I’m dead 😆 all awesome points as to why you should get into it. With all the events too it helps with things to do on weekends. Ppl such as myself who don’t live close to the parks we have our own little community on line in Canada wide group plus provincial groups. Trade virtually. So never let the distance of how far you live discourage anyone from trading.
We got into pin trading for something else to do. My then teens didn't want to ride or see shows, they just wanted to walk around so in researching things to do we found pin trading. I was also looking for things to collect that didn't take up much room in my suitcase. The good and bad thing about pins is there are always new pins. Sadly I don't trade pins as much as just collect anymore. I wish US parks would do pin trading like DLP does. Then there wouldn't be so many scrappers on the boards. I admit the first year I didn't know about scrappers and bought pins in bulk on line so sorry I added scrappers to the boards . Very glad you and many others do videos about scrappers so people know ahead of time and can get legit pins to trade once in Disney. My kids also grew more confident talking to adults when asking about/for pins. Thanks so much for your time

We’re planning on going to Disney this upcoming year in January so I added a bunch of pin lots from Disney and I’m gonna be going on a hunt for all the clipping when puffle pins Because that game was my childhood I remember coming home every day from school to play the game we had screen time limits but I need the password so they just forgot I was on the laptop sometimes
Haha I never really played club penguin but that’s awesome if you start collecting it! It’s so fun collecting something that reminds you off your childhood ☺️
